~new moon~

It's been a few months since the prom, some of us graduated, awhile Emmett, Alice, jasper and Edward didn't. Emmett and Rose went to Africa, Chris and I decided to stay. We thought it was too dangerous to go, ever since they send us a gift. I was sitting in the livingroom just reading when Chris and jasper were playing video games, very loud.

"Can you guys been any louder?" I hiss at them.

"Sorry ma'am, but I'm about to beat Chris." Jasper laughed. I growl at them, I went to sit outside the patio where it was quiet. I sent a few minutes reading when Alice came up to me.

"Oh hey, Alice." I said to her. She looked nervous.

'Please don't get mad'

"Why would I get mad?" I tell her, she sigh.

"Well, it's Bella's birthday in a few weeks, and we're throwing her a party. Here." She said, I scoff, and walked away from her.

"Oh Caitlin, please. I know you and rose don't have the best relationship with her, especially you. But do it for Edward. Please Cat?" She begged. I sigh "fine" i calmly said.

"Yay! You're the best sister." She hugs me, we laughed. I turn to see Chris standing there, "what?" I said.

"That was sweet of you." He smiles at me, "I'm only doing it for Edward." I snap at him, he laughs. "Still sweet." I roll my eyes at him.

"Whatever." I moved his hand away, but I shock him. He groans to the floor.

"Oh my god, Chris I'm sorry. I don't kn-" i stuttered, but I was cut off by Carlisle.

"You develop Kate's ability." He sounded surprise. I help Chris up from the ground.
"I'm sorry." I apologize again. "I'm fine, but it hurt though." He said.

For the past few weeks, Alice was getting everything ready for Bella's birthday, Alice picked out gifts for Rose and me to give to bella. Chris has his present wrapped up. Emmett and Rose got here in time for the birthday party.

I promise Chris, and Edward I'll be in my best behavior. Even though I don't want to be part of this, neither does Rose, but we promise to be nice.

"How was Africa?" I asked Rosalie. She sigh, "it was fun, until Alice called us to come home for Bella birthday party." She sounded annoyed. I chuckle "believe me, I don't want to be here either. But I promise them I'll be nice." I said. We laugh.

I remember spending my birthdays at home, or by myself. Tara would be working, I would stay home. Or Tara was never home to being with, I mostly send my birthdays at home.

Since it was a birthday party, we change into our dressy clothes. We waited for Edward to bring bella over.

"I'm so over this, and it hasn't even started." I said annoyed, Rose and Emmett laugh.

"Caitlin. Your promise." Chris said. "Sorry." I said. We hear Alice coming down with Bella.

I stood near the piano next to jasper and Chris. We watch them come down. I didn't even cracked a smile.

"Sorry about all of this. We tried to rein Alice in." Carlisle tells her. "As if that were even possible. Happy birthday, Bella" Esme hugged her. "Thanks." Bella tells her. Alice then takes a picture of bella. Bella then looks confused at her.

"I found it in your bag. You mind?" Alice asked her. Bella shook her head. Rose nudge my elbow, we shared at look then we chuckle.

"Dating an older woman. Hot." Emmett tells Edward. We all looked at him. "What?" He said, we laughed.

Alice gives me and rose Bella's gifts. "You first, Rosalie" Alice tell her.

Rose hands her the gift. "It's a necklace. Alice picked it out." Bella thanks her. Now it was my turn. "It's a bracelet. Alice picked it out as well." I give it to her without even looking at her. "Thanks." She tells me, I nodded.

Alice then pulled Edward closer to bella for a picture. Edward looked really annoyed by Alice. 'Haha' I thought. "Stop it Caitlin!' He snaps back.

"This one's from Emmett." Alice gives her his gift. She shakes, even though it's empty. "Already installed it in your truck. Finally a decent sound system for that piece of..." He said but gets cut off by Bella. "Hey! Don't hate the truck." She tell him.

"This one is from Chris." Alice tells her. She opens it to see cassettes tapes. "They're mostly classic rock music ." Chris tells her. "Wow. Thanks" bella said. "Nice man" Emmett fist bumps Chris.

"Open Esme and Carlisle's" Alice hands her their gift. "Just a little something to brighten your day." Carlisle tells her. "Yes, you've been looking kind of pale lately." Esme tell her. Bella tried to open the Envelope, "ow, paper cut" she said. when she cuts her finger, the smell of her blood, but try to ignore it but not jasper. Jasper suddenly tries to attack bella, but Edward pushes Bella against the wall, then pushes jasper away which he lands on the piano.

Chris tried to grab him but dodged him or does Emmett. Emmett and Carlisle quickly grab him. I looked at Chris. "Chris. You okay?" I asked . "Yeah, I'm good." I smile at him, for keeping his thirst control.

"Jaz, jaz. It's okay. It's just a little blood." Alice controls him, we all look at Bella, who is on the fell in blood.

"Get jasper out of here" Carlisle order us, he sped to bella. Chris and Emmett drag jasper out. "Come on jasper." Chris tell him.

"I'm sorry. I can't." Alice apologize to her, we all leave the room, expect Edward for looks sad. 'Im sorry Edward." I said in my mind. He nods to me.

We go in the other room, Emmett and Chris take jasper to hunt. "You think jasper is okay?" I asked them. "He'll be fine. He just need to hunt." Esme said. I went to confront Alice since she planned the party. "It's okay Alice. We didn't see this coming." I wrapped my around her, she lays her head on my shoulder. "I know." She said.

We see Edward come in, he looks sad for what happened. "How is she?" Esme asked him. "Carlisle is cleaning her up. Where's jasper?" He asked. "The guys took him hunting." I said, he nodded. We see the guys come back, "Edward, I'm really sorry. Please forgive me?" Jasper begged him. "It's okay jasper, it's not your fault." He calmly tell him.

After bella was done getting stitched up, Edward took her home. I went to the balcony with Chris. "I'm proud of you. You didn't lose control." I tell him. "Thanks. I'm still worry about jasper. He looked so hurt about what happened." He said. "I know. I feel bad too, I also feel bad for alice." I frown, he wraps his around me "yeah"

Do you miss it? surgeries?" He asked.

"All the time. But I'm scared I meant lose control. I wouldn't forgive myself." I tell him. "Me too." He said.

We stood there watching the beautiful night sky.
