"What the hell were you guys thinking? You could've gotten hurt!" I yell at Chris. So did rose with Emmett. "We almost had her. Until the dog jumped in." Chris defense himself.

"Well, it was a stupid move!" I said to him. "I'm sorry." He hugs me, I scoff. I went to shower since he got me wet. I didn't have a vision seems then.

Edward and Bella came back from Florida, Edward told us bella took off with Jacob to the Rez. He was pretty annoyed that she ditch him for him. Later that night he brought Bella to the house. There was a intruder at her house.
Jasper, Emmett and Chris went to catch the scent.

"Who was it? Someone we know?" Carlisle asked.

"This stranger, I didn't recognize his scent." Edward said.

"A nomad passing through?" Esme suggested.

"A passerby wouldn't have left Bella's father alive." Rose said. "That person would feed off him." I said.

The guys came back. "The scent disappeared about 5 miles south of Bella's house house." Jasper tell us.

"Someone's orchestrating this." Carlisle said.

"Victoria?" Bella said.

"Me and Caitlin would have seen her decide." Alice tells her.

"Has to be the Volturi." Edward suggest. I haven't seen the volturi make a decision. "I don't think it's the Volturi, either. I've been watching Aro's decisions, too." Alice tell Edward.

"So we keep looking." Emmett said.

"We'll also take shifts guarding Bella at her house." Carlisle said. I scoff, "seriously?" I asked. "Another protect detail." Rose said. "Girls" Carlisle tells us.

"No, they're right. You can't protect me, watch my dad and search for the intruder." Bella said.

"And for Victoria." Rose and I said.

"And keep yourself fed." She said.

"I'm not leaving you here defenseless." Edward tells her. "Well, I'm not gonna let you starve. And I wouldn't be unprotected. I have..." she stops herself, looks at Edward. "What?" He asked.

'She's means she has Jacob.' I thought.

Edward looks at me, then rolls his eyes. We went to going our thing. Bella stayed for a bit.

Chris POV
After the talk I see Caitlin was still bother that we have to guard Bella house. I get up to grab my book from the other room. I see Bella sitting, Edward was talking to Carlisle.

"Hey, you okay?" I ask her. She nodded, "yeah, just thinking about all of this. Caitlin still doesn't like me." She said.

"Sorry about her." I chuckle. "Can I ask you something?" She asked. "Sure." I smiled

"How did you two meet?" She asked.

"I lived in Alaska during my human time. I was a resident at the hospital. And one day, we heard of a new doctor joining us. I really didn't think much of it, but That's when I saw her, she was carrying a chart in her hand. I introduced himself, asked her out for a drink, to make her feel welcome. When we said our goodbyes we kissed. After that, I knew she's is the love of my life. That first kiss was the right kiss. Kissing her was like coming up for fresh air, it was like I was drowning and she saved me." I tell her. She smiles, she looked like she wanted to ask another question.

"You wanna know how I was change. Don't you?" I asked her. She awkwardly nodded.

"I was out for a business trip not far from where we lived. On my way back, a semi truck come out of nowhere. Hitting my side, I remember being taking to near by hospital. There, they treated me, they we're going all this checking, but made one mistake. They never took me to get a head CT. That head CT would've saved my life, but it was too late. I was declared brain dead. I kept thinking about Caitlin, how worried she must've been. How lonely she's going to be. We were going to try to make a family, she wanted to be mother so bad and me a father. I remember waking up, seeing Carlisle there. He told me what I became, after a week of my transformation, I begged him to let me see Caitlin, I also begged him to change her. She didn't have anyone else. Because I knew I couldn't live without her. Just like Edward couldn't live with you." I tell her.

"Do you think I'm making a mistake? On being change?" She asked. "Edward, told me that he was having feels for you. He confided to me because he knew, I can keep my month close. Unlike Emmett, or Alice, so I'm going to you what I told him. You deserve somebody that makes you happy. Somebody that you can send all eternity with, because you deserve it." I tell her.

"Thanks Chris." She smiles.

"Sure, and don't worry about Caitlin, she's warm up to you, eventually." I told her, she nodded. 

I just wish Caitlin would warm up to her, too.
