Reclaiming the Moon

Avengers/ Air POV

"Where are they?" Bruce slammed his fist onto the desk and Clint jumped back. Tony looked away, back to his GPS system. Peter sat on the roof worriedly, occasionally walking back and forth. Thor was still in Asgard with Loki, Clint had completed his mission and returned. Steve and Natasha were still in D.C., clearing up the remains of whatever the heck had gone down. SHIELD had fallen, Natasha had leaked all of their secrets online. Apparently Hydra, Steve's old enemy had been working inside of SHEILD for the past seven decades. But Hydra, Tony suspected, was the main reason of the girls' disappearances. Natasha had to go for a hearing and per suspected exited like a badass. Steve was searching for his long dead friend, Bucky, who apparently wasn't long and dead now.

All of the Avengers remembered, it was a quiet night when they all dropped to the floor, their memories of her returning. The sister, the daughter, the other third of the science trio, a friend.

Which made her disappearance all the more worrying.

"Look, buddy, we don't know, I know it's been three months, but we're trying," Tony spoke softly, rearranging things on his screen. Tony wanted to comfort Bruce as much as he could. The memories of Moonshine made Tony wish for her all the more. Bruce's hands clenched and unclenched and he took a deep breath, walking out of the room.

"We need to find them," Peter spoke. They're all I have left. Even though he was no subject of returning memories and emotions, he could relate to the Avengers on how they felt. To Peter though, Becky was still Becky. The Becky he'd met in Central Park, the Becky who was so worried for her friends that she ran away and erased their memories. The Becky that he felt himself surely and uncontrollably falling in love with.

"How's it going Tony?" Clint asked. The area was littered with new designs for all of the Avengers uniforms. Steve's one was completely redone but so was everyone else's; Natasha had new weapons, Bruce had stretchy pants, Tony had a new suit, Steve had added features and Thor was pretty much the same.

"I'm multitasking better than a woman," Tony replied proudly.

"I can see," Clint drawled out, unsure. He tapped the bench before Tony spoke.

"Hey, how about instead of annoying me, you go and look at the new bunch of awesome arrows I made for you? Heck, there's even one that stops mind control," Tony spoke without needing to look up.

Excited about this prospect, Clint took off.

It took another twenty minutes before Bruce came back, at which Tony announced, "We have a location!"

...

The location a run down, a warehouse, slowly caving in. Bruce, Clint, Tony and Peter, all in civilian clothing with their weapons concealed. To anyone else who wouldn't recognise them, they looked like a handful of guys hanging out with very distinct age differences. At the insistence of Tony, all of them had shawarma in their hands, because saving their friend was less important than food. Bruce's face was pale as if he'd seen a ghost.

"Is the security guard still here?" Bruce asked in a small voice, "I owe him a jumpsuit... And a motorbike,"

"Wait, you stole a motorbike?" Clint asked in disbelief, spitting out his shawarma.

"Bruce, I could've just bought you ten," Tony spoke in a disapproving tone. He took another bite of his food, chewing disapprovingly which would've been impossible for anyone else than Tony Stark.

"Hey, from I'd seen in the adaptation, you were having a sass fight with Loki," Bruce defended.

"It was a threatening slash stalling moment, Banner," Tony rolled his eyes before taking another bite.

"Uh guys?" Peter asked, "we're not getting anything done, or being very productive,"

The four of them turned back to the apparent Hydra base. Peter was wearing his glasses and his other human identity things. Bruce was wearing a sweatshirt and jeans, Becky's disappearance taking a toll on his health (and fashion sense according to Pepper). Clint was just wearing a black jacket to cover his subtitle uniform and Tony was wearing a suit... Per normal.

"Well it looks very non suspicious, I'll give it that," Clint commented, looking at the warehouse with a hint of amusement.

"Let's go in," Tony announced and they started making their way through the rubble that still hadn't been cleared for a good three years. He pulled an object from his pocket and threw it into the air. It took a second to assemble rotors and instantly began scanning the area. When it flew to the other side, Clint cried out a warning.

"Wait!"

Within seconds a gun had appeared and shot the copter out of the air until it spiralled to Tony's feet.

"Jarvis, send me the suit," Tony said quickly. Bruce took cover behind some rubble, Peter activated his webs and Clint pulled off his jacket to show his quiver and bow attached.

There was a second of silence before the air filled with shouts, bullets, flinging dust, arrows, plasma blasts and web. Tony took the skies and quickly took out the opponents at the back. Peter abducted the defenders from their posts and dangled them from the ceiling. When making sure it was clear, Clint sent explosive arrows flying at the enemy. Bruce crawled into a niche caused by the first time he visited this place, and tried not to Hulk, he was sure his friends could handle this.

"Get the girl away!" He heard and authorative voice order. A tight knit group of about ten men and a leader hoarded a weak girl to a van. Four of them jumped and and the leader. The others got into the second van.

Becky.

The battle had ceased and Bruce made a split second decision to run for his sister. Tony notified the others and they took after the speeding vans.

"Get in!" Natasha cried, bringing up a sleek sports car. Bruce didn't have the time to ask how or when but got inside before Natasha went speeding off. Steve wasn't in the car.

Everyone except Peter and Tony filed in, the other two followed the van using their respective abilities. Bruce was in the back while Clint slid over the bonnet and took shotgun.

"This is a nice car," Natasha glared at Clint, probably ready to scold him for scratching it.

"That you probably stole," Clint pointed out in response.

"That I stole," Natasha corrected herself. "But I'm a big girl, who can play with her big brother's toys."

Natasha sped down the roads, following the van that Peter managed to attach himself to. Tony was working on somehow shutting it down via his amazing technology.

Eventually the van halted to a stop down an alleyway and the Hydra agents pulled a limp Becky out of the van. Grim smiles were upon their faces as they pressed a gun to her pale forehead.

All of the Avengers faced the agents at the top of the alleyway. Their weapons aimed at the agent's faces. It was like a Western cowboy movie.

"Drop them," The agent growled in a thick accent, "or she dies,"

Grudgingly, the Avengers lowered their weapons. And the agent lowered his gun slightly.

"Good." He said, before the gun flew out of his hands and into a spangled spider's instead.

The Avengers rushed forwards and took out the agents with ease. Becky fell into Bruce's arms, she was awfully light and weak, he noted. Her eyes fluttered for a second and Tony breathed a sigh of relief, "she's alive,"

"Bruce?" Becky asked weakly before falling unconscious again.

"Her heart's stopped beating!"

A/N: So I've decided to do a QandA with the characters (and/or me). I need you guys to ask some questions. Preferably as soon as possible. You can ask them anything; Budapest, what music they like etc.

See you next chapter.
