Please, please read this; it is important:

Uhm, uhm *coughs*, your attension please. Don't worry, guys. I won't torture you with my long speech. This is just a... hmm... notice. SO let me start with it. Many, in fact myslef too, have noted that 'The Forgiven Bite' looks similar to 'Twilight Saga', but my dear friends, let me clear this out. This story may look similar to Twilight, but this is limited to only first two chapters. This story is not copied/inspired from Twilight neither it is similar to it in any shape or form. If it is found similar, then it will be considered just a coincidence.

Wow! This looked like a desclaimer. Well, this is it. This story is completely different (I am Vampire Diaries fan and you can say, TVD inspired me to write TFB, but again it is different from TVD too). There are certainly no sparkling/glittering vampires in my story. At this note, I will end up my speech.

Hope you like it now, and you won't be looking for any sparkling vampire or jacob :P

Chapter 2

As soon as I turned, my eyes met with a pair of very unusual golden-honey eyes. I never felt so captivated by someone's eyes; I was being drawn away into a pool of gold and honey. He stared me back, making it difficult for me to look away. We stared at each other for how long I don't know, but a nudge from Mitzy brought me back onto the grounds of canteen.

I unlocked the stare and moved my eyes, gazing his flawless handsome face. His golden-honey eyes complemented his pale skin perfectly. His full lips were pressed in a thin line. While the way he carried his chiseled body gave him a diplomatic look, his disheveled jet black hair enhanced his sexy appearance. The v-neckline black t-shirt that he was sporting was mockingly stretching on his perfect body. I moved my gaze from his broad chest, trailing down to his abs and into the defined V, causing me to blush madly. With all these features, he looked almost like a Greek God. He was too handsome and stating him even gorgeous was an understatement.

I was just unable to remove my gaze off him, until he turned to meet my eyes again, making my already red cheeks burn in embarrassment. I lowered my eyes and wandered it on to the other two accompanying him who seemed to be his siblings. The other boy had same features as his, including pale skin, muscular body and similar height. The only difference was his eyes which were deep grey ones and sandy hair that reached just above his shoulder giving him a hunky look.

And the girl with them... well, I can just say that right now each and every girl present in the canteen was envying her, including me. A common girl trait, I can say? She was a beauty from heaven. If anything can define what beauty is, then it was her pale skin, long golden hair that touched her waist line, deep blue eyes, a perfect figure to die on and a pink pouting lips on a heart shaped face. She was in an outfit that suitably revealed her perfect curves-- a tight jeans and pink top with a denim jacket over it.

I giggled at the site of my friends seated around me, whom I had totally forgotten for a split second. Eloise and Mac had their jaws dropped down and... well, Lee and Stechi , looking at the way they both whispered and giggled, gave me a hint of their plans to try a date out with those two handsome new comers. This annoyed me a little without any valid reason known to me.

I just stared back at the group, who had now taken the other side corner seat. They were having a deep chat. A sudden urge shot through me to go to them, to be with them, to know them, to know him, to submerge into the pool of his golden-honey eyes, to touch his lips...

What the hell had I been thinking? I creased my brows in confusion at the trail of thoughts coming into my mind for a stranger whom I was seeing for the first time.

"I hope we share a same class. Oh he is so..." Lee stated, hugging herself tightly as if she was squeezing Mr. New Comer in her arms.

I sighed.

"I think I should get to my next class. See you later, guys." I bid them bye, waving my hands at them.

 "Ron?"

"Yeah?" Ron almost jumped out of his seat when I called him.

"See you for biology class." I gave him a warm smile, reassuring him of my forgiveness.

I could not stay angry with him for a longer time. I backed away, slinging my backpack and giving a quick glance at the triad.

I made my way to the math class. It wasn't my favorite subject, but never failed my teacher's expectations towards me to solve any given problem. Ron had dropped this subject as he found it 'brain sucking' in his words.

I entered the classroom and took my usual second last seat in the middle row of three. I took out my book and was about to open it when a sweet, almost addictive, spicy scent drifted on my nostrils. I slowly raised my eyes and gasped to see figure standing besides my bench.

"May I have the seat beside you?" I heard his soft velvety voice ask me.

But I was in a trance to reply anything. I tried to open my mouth to just let out a gasp. He chuckled. I knew I must have looked funny like a fish out of water with my mouth opening and closing.

"May I?" He nodded at the vacant seat at my side.

Bewildered, I glanced around and fumed over my lack of notice. I hadn't notice until today that all the other seats remained occupied except mine. Don't take it wrong like I was untouchable and all. It was because for most of the classes Ron and I shared the bench.

But for now... I nodded and slide at the side to give him some space. How could I refuse to such a gentle request by inhumanly handsome figure?

Ashline, keep yourself calm. Don't think rubbish. He is just a guy, not God, I scowled at myself in mind. I heard him chuckle as if I said it aloud. Oh God! Please don't say I did it.

"Hi! I am Steven Caudwell." His soft velvety voice rang in my ear, electrifying my nerves.

"Hi!" I replied, rather sheepishly.

"If I am not mistaken, you are Ashline?"

What the hell? I frowned. "How come you know my name? I guess you are a new student." I had intended to spit it out as a question, but it came out more like a statement.

I was amazed at my guts to talk to him, as I had never talked with any stranger, because of my granny who all along had warned me to stay away from strangers. He let out a throaty laugh, tinkling wind chimes in my mind and caused a current run through my spine.

"Happy Birthday, Ashline." He smiled the most beautiful smile I had ever seen in my entire life, which reached to his perfect golden-honey eyes. Entire world blacked out of my mind. It was a crime he was doing by being so handsome. I gaped at his flawless beauty. It took me a minute to sink in his words.

"Whoa..." I frowned, again, "how do you know about my birthday?"

I waited for him to answer, but he simply stared at me with his perfect smile on face, leaning casually on one of his elbow.

After what looked like eternity he said, "It's just the sort of eavesdropping."

"Eavesdropping? Wait a sec, you were...you weren't close enough to eavesdrop," I stated with creased brow.

"Yeah, but...." He leaned closer, making my heart to flutter inside. "Your friends weren't bothered about not screaming it aloud."

"Oh?" was all I could say. I lowered my eyes in embarrassment. I knew my face must have become tomato red. I pulled my hair over my face to hide it. After few seconds, teacher entered the class for which I was thankful.

You can say I was really impressed at him for the way he solved the problems. In fact, the teacher quoted us as 'two masters on same plane.' I wanted to run out of the class, to run away from him and that's what I did when the bell rang. I shoved my stuff into bag and without looking at him made my way towards exit. I could feel his gaze on my back, but I was not going to fall again for his mesmerizing look.

Next class was biology and so I made my way to that. I found Ron leaning casually on the door frame of the class.

"Hey, birthday-girl!" He smiled boyishly and walked towards me.

"You know Ron, when anyone forgets his best friend's birthday; they lose the right to call them that." I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the class. "And will you please stop making those pleading puppy faces," I said rolling my eyes. "They won't melt me."

Ron pulled my hand and pivoted me, pinning me to the wall. I was taken aback by his sudden gesture. I almost skipped a beat of my heart. Ron trapped me between his arms and grinned mischievously.

"Oh yeah? Then what will make you melt?" he said, hovering over my face. My breast was pressed against his chest.  We had been this close earlier, but I didn't know why I felt... odd.

His green eyes were boring into mine while he leaned more closely. I could feel his breath on my lips; my chest was rising up and down violently. He was mere inches away from my lips and my breathing to stop when he smirked and leaned back. I knew what it meant and I wanted nothing but to hide somewhere for being so fool. He threw his head back and started laughing. It all happened so quick, I was unable to guess his prank which he always tried on me in different ways. I should have been used to it by now, but I was a fool, a big fool. He was laughing madly, holding his stomach.

"Ron, I'll kill you," I hissed playfully and ran after him, before bumping into a solid chest. I fumed as I recognized the familiar spicy scent. I mumbled 'sorry' and made my way back into the class, sitting besides my stupid best friend, Ron. I hit a punch on his arm to which he reacted dramatically. Steven followed and took right hand side corner seat.

God! He was in here too

Biology class got over, normally.

Ron and I made our way to the canteen. Our group was already waiting for us with their plates full. We directly headed to the queue lining for food. I ordered one pizza and lemonade and joined the group. I glanced around and let out a sigh of relief when I didn't find Steven.

Rest of the day, I didn't find him again neither I saw his siblings.

Last hour of school today was dedicated to dance class. Ron and I made a good dance couple. The class held in gym. We had salsa to do on the beats of 'Bilamos'. Our dance instructor, Mr. Terry Shawn ordered to form pairs. Ron winked before pulling me towards him. I rolled my eyes, putting my hands into his. The music started, creating the pleasant environment. My body automatically reacted towards the beautiful music, swaying my hips and readying to take the lead. As in Salsa, girls make a move by lifting the right leg behind, I did the same, while Ron moved his left leg in front, syncing with my hip movement.

"123,567...123, 567," instructor cried aloud the count.

I enjoyed dancing a lot and with Ron as a partner, it was astonishing. "123,567......" I took a pivot turn.

"Wow! Truly graceful."

"Shut up, Ron." I rolled my eyes; I did it a lot- rolling my eyes I mean.

After doing some more lock and key steps, we were dispersed.

"That was so good today," I said, pleased at our routine. I was beaming from ear to ear.

"Yes, I guess so," Ron replied. "Meet you in the parking lot, Okay?

"Okay. No problem." I waved him and went to the changing room.

*****

"Hi!" I stopped in my track on hearing that soft velvety voice, whilst going to the parking lot where Ron had asked to meet me.

I turned back and let out a gasp.

Oh God! When will I learn to hide his impact on me? I thought.

Steven was casually leaning on the wall in a long corridor of the school, where I stood. He looked gorgeous with a style he was leaning with arms folded across his broad chest. He was smiling at me, making me more vulnerable. Please don't smile at me like this, I pleaded in my mind.

He came forward. My heart started pounding hard behind my rib cage. My legs started wobbling. Few more minutes, and I would have surely dropped to the ground.

"H-hi!" I made a move from my trance and stuttered out.

"Going home?" he asked.

His spicy scent was entrancing me and I managed not to sigh. "Erm...I guess so?"

"Okay, then. See you tomorrow. Enjoy your birthday." He smiled his most, gorgeous, witching, captivating, enchanting... Okay, enough- his beautiful smile. I didn't know what to reply. I was tongue tied. What was I doing? I had met him few hours before, and I even didn't know him for god sake. Why was I being so pathetic like a love-struck girl?

Come on, Ash. You are a popular girl in this school. You don't need to be so, so... hopeless, my mind screamed at me and I tried a lot to shove away these stray feelings.

"Erm...thanks." I replied, and turned to move away from his as far as possible, before I fall on my weak knees. But before I could take third step, he spoke and those words were enough to spill water all over my motives.

"Ashline, you dance very well," he said in a voice that sounded like a wind blowing in my ear. It was enough to let current run through the entire length of my spine. Smile that was stretching his lips didn't vanish all the while I blushed madly. He chuckled and left me grounded to the roots. I never let anyone effect me so much. And here I was gazing admiringly at the retreating back of a person who was as good as a stranger to me. What was he doing to me?

I reached at the spot where Ron was standing, waiting for me and I could see worry on his face. He came sprinting towards me.

"Are you okay? What took you so long?" Ron's brows pinched together as his eyes trailed over me from head to toe. The concern on his face was noticeable. It overwhelmed me every time Ron showed his love and care for me. I knew whatever may happen, Ron would be there for me and I would be there for him till my last breath.

But then, his question sunk in my head, causing me to stutter. "Hey, I am fine," I said smiling. "It is nothing... just met Ste-erm... Stean. Stean was complementing our dance," I lied and that made me feel guilty. Stean was a boy from our class. I had to lie or else Ron would have fussed about talking to a stranger. If my gran was Stranger-Nazi, alright, I don't know if that word exist, but then Ron was the worst.

"That's great."He bought my lie without any further question, which was another thing I loved about Ron. He never pushed me with anything unless it was necessary. He opened the car door for me. "Let's go."

I sighed and took my seat. He took the control of the steering, driving me home.
