The next morning I woke up when the sunlight hit on my eyes, I slowly rolled over closing my eyes half and saw Sanjay sleeping peacefully by my side, and by now, I remembered about our last night encounter. 

I saw him peacefully sleeping when the sunlight is hitting his face making it more handsome to find. I smiled and kissed his forehead slowly so that I won't wake him up. I had the best night of my life till now.

Slowly I woke up from the bed and tried to get down but my legs didn't cope up with me, I was falling when a strong hand holds my wrist preventing me to fall. I looked up and it was Sanjay.

Sanjay was looking concerned and asked me-" Are you okay?"

I got a little shy of his sight and replied slowly-" Y-Yes"

He understood my condition and he carried me in his arms to the bed again. He put me down on the bed carefully before asking me again-"  was I too rough yesterday?"

His question makes me blush really hard and I wanted to sink my face in his chest. He smiled at my condition and said-" I love you Megha!!!" Giving me a forehead kiss.

It calmed me down a little bit and I replied-" I am okay"

He sat beside me and patted my hair, he looked deep into my eyes and said-" I am sorry princess, I didn't want to hurt you, but..."

Looking at his concerned eyes I felt the warmth and satisfaction that I chose the right man, who knew that the person who was once said to be a heartless monster had a soft corner too? I smiled a  little and replied-" It was the best night of my existence"

He smiled with satisfaction that I wasn't offended. He then helped me to get up from the bed and took me to the washroom in his arms, the court ladies came off to assist me but he denied. He put me down slowly making me sit to the corner of the pool. 

It was filled with rose petals and the aroma of lavender. It felt soothing. I said-" It's okay Sanjay, I can do it on my own"

He smiled and replied-" Let me take care of you princess"

He then helped me to take a shower and get dressed. Then he too took a shower and get dressed.

I told-" We have to go meet my parents and others, they might be concerned as since last night they haven't seen me"

He nodded, and then he carried me again in his arms. I shouted in shock-" Sanjay!!!"

He looked at me with a confused face-" What happened? are you hurt somewhere?"

I nodded and said-" No, but let me walk, please!!! People will see" I said shyly letting my face hidden in his hard chest.

He laughed a bit and said-" So what? You are mine and I am just taking care of you"

Without any further word he carried me outside, while we encounter many court ladies who were looking at us and laughing, understanding what had happened. I was feeling so embarrassed at the moment that I would want to escape from here, but Sanjay was holding me firmly.

On the way, we met Elis, who was taking a walk in the garden. He looked at us with her eyes wide open and laughed. 

Elis said mockingly-" I see that our plan had worked isn't it Sanjay?"

Sanjay smiled without any word.

Elis looked at me and said-" So are you still concerned about me being around with Sanjay?"

I looked at her with a little embarrassment but inside I was a little frustrated too. Why would she even ask its questions? Of course, I am concerned. not that I don't trust him, but it is always better to be careful than to be sorry.

I looked away. She smiled. 

Just then I saw my mother walking towards us with concern. She looked confused when he saw me in Sanjay's arms. She asked-" Megha? What happened? Are you okay?"

I pushed Sanjay softly asking him to let me go, And he carefully put me down. Mother holds my hands and searched me in very detail that if I was hurt.

I replied with an awkward smile-" I am okay, i-it's nothing, I was just feeling a bit weak, so Sanjay was helping me."

My mother looked at me with concerned eyes, She said- weakness? have you not eaten?"

I replied- I-I did mother. "

Father walked into us and asked-" what is going on?"

Before I could say anything Elis said-" We should fix the marriage of princess Megha with King Sanjay very soon"

A smile formed on my parent's faces and they looked at me with very emotional eyes. I was feeling a little shy so I looked down. For once, I liked Elis for telling this.

While I was looking down, I heard a footstep and I looked at Sanjay walking away from there.

Both of my parents were in a blank expression, while I went after him. 

He was standing under a tree near the lake when I reached there.

I asked-" Sanjay?"

He looked back and smiled at me-" Megha!"

But I found a sense of sadness and concern in his smile. I asked-"  By any chance, do you fell in love with someone else?"

He immediately looked at me and replied-" Why do you even think of that? was my feelings for you was not sincere yesterday?"

I replied softly-" It was, and I was so very happy for that, but looking at you now, make me think of it twice, that do you have someone else in your heart? because the way you walked away from there hearing our marriage I-"

Before letting me complete my sentences I fell his lips on mine, Between the kiss, I could feel his tears that were running down his eyes. 

I pulled out the kiss and asked-"  what happened?"

He hugged me tightly and said-" I am scared Megha!!! I cannot lose you again, every time I thought of making you mine, I lost you, I am just scared. It's been so long waiting for you with just hope but now when you are finally in front of me, I don't want you to go"

He was crying in my arms, his words made my heart flutter, how can he love me so much? I smiled and replied-" I will never go away from you anymore, I promise. Look Sanjay, Its destiny, how we met earlier, how we found each other, how you save me, and how we fell in love, even when death came to make us apart we still found our way back to each other, I love you so much Sanjay. "

Tears rolled down from my eyes and again I said looking down-" But if you don't want to get married to me, I understand."

I turned around and was about to walk away when I fell his arms wrapped around my waist pulling me closer to him making me hit on his hard chest. I was happy and scared too. He made me turned around and I saw him on his knees. He said-" Megha, I have never felt this kind of love for anyone in my life, since the day you walked in my life, my life turned to be a colorful rainbow, and now I can't even imagine my life without you, I love you so much Megha. Please marry me"

His world made me cry out of joy. While we were having a moment of happiness, a burning letter falls near us. 

Sanjay quickly absorbed the fire with his powers that it won't hurt me.

We opened the letter and it was the " Letter of war"
