Chapter 6 (Picture of Riley)
CHAPTER 6 // EDITED
"Blake, you were suppose to be up a hour ago," dad called as he walked in my room.
"Clearly a pillow to the face didn't tell you," I said as I looked out from under my pillow. "I'm not interested in going."
"I don't care what you're interested in," he snapped, I sat up and looked at him. "Get up and get dressed."
"But dad–"
"Blake, you're going to be downstairs in thirty minutes or I will drag you downstairs by your hair," he threatened, he walked out and I flipped him off when he shut the door. "I will break your finger, Blake."
"It's not my fault my middle finger always has a boner because of you," I called back, he opened my door again. "I love you."
"Shut up," he replied grimly and walked back out. I threw my covers back and headed for the bathroom. I turned on the shower and stripped from my clothes.
"You ugly. You're your daddy's son," I sang as I stepped into the shower. I washed my hair and my body as I danced and sang.
I got dried off and my teeth brushed before I picked out my outfit.
I put on my hat and grabbed my phone tucking it in my back pocket. I grabbed a piece of gum and popped it in my mouth.
I walked downstairs meeting up with dad, Cody, and Riley. They looked towards me and I have them a fake smile.
"I'm present," I said sarcasm dropping from my tongue. "No need to be dragged by my hair."
"That option is still on the table," Riley said and I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Blake, we're going to church," dad shot at me and I looked at my outfit then back at him.
"Oh well, no time to change now," I said and headed out the door. I heard dad grumbled, but they followed behind me. "I'll drive."
"No," all three of them exclaimed.
"I'm glad we could all agree," I replied as I slipped into drivers seat. "Come on, we're going to be fashionably late."
"Why can't we just put her up for adoption or something?" Cody asked as he got in shutting his door. I pressed the gas and we went forward, I slammed on the brake.
"My bad, it was in drive," I said with a big smile.
"I'm just going to call Storm and tell her I love her if I don't make it through this trip," Riley said and I backed out of our driveway. I put it in drive and sped down the road. "Blake, you're going to the neighbors mailbox!"
"I am not!" I yelled back, I hit the trashcan and screeched. "I'm going to hit the trashcan."
We got to the church and the guys jumped out before I even stopped.
"Come on you guys, I wasn't that bad!" I called at them and they shot daggers at me. I climbed out and we headed for the church and walked inside.
We walked to a row and sat down on the pew, I popped my gum and Cody stuck out his hand. He mouthed, 'spit it out'. I rolled my eyes as I spit out my gum into his hand, he put it in a piece of paper and threw it under the pew.
I never really liked going to church, the idea of sitting still for almost two hours was torture to me. Every time I would start to doze off, Riley would flick my ear.
Cody stuck his wet finger in my ear, which resulted in me slapping him and getting attention. Dad just made us get up and leave, let's just say our ride home wasn't joyful.
After dad sent us to our rooms, he called us back downstairs. Which resulted in me getting scowled at, because I slid down the banister.
"Can't you ever just behave?" Dad asked and I smiled big. "Anyway." I saw Kate and her two demons were now crowding the house.
"Oh, the zoo is visiting," I mumbled, Riley smacked the back of my head and I glared at him.
Kate was admiring her engagement ring and dad was talking to her about his job. Us kids were swapping glances seeing who would say something first.
"Ok, I guess it's me," I said making dad and Kate turn their attention to me. "Kate, are you pregnant?" She stayed quiet as dad looked away from me.
"You weren't going to tell us?" Desmond asked, Kate put her hand over her stomach and dad looked up. "An answer would be greatly appreciated."
"We were going to wait," dad finally spoke sharing glances with all of us. It was different with Cody, Riley, and I, we knew which glances meant what. "Dropping an engagement and a pregnancy was a bit much."
"It never stopped you before," I said, but instantly regretted it. "Sorry, the voices." Kate finally looked up and had tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry," she apologized wiping her eyes. "Excuse me." She walked to the kitchen and I looked away with guilt in my chest.
"Dad, I just–"
"Blakely, I've had enough of you for one day," dad interrupted me and I bit my lip. "Just go to your room." I glanced at Cody and Riley before I disappeared up to my room.
I shut my door and put my back to it, I slid down it till my butt reached the floor. I ran my fingers through my hair and closed my eyes, I let my fingertips trail down my thigh till I felt where a bumpy texture once was.
"Blake," a soft voice came through the door, opened my eyes and stood up opening the door. Riley stood on the other side. "Are you okay?" I smiled at him.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I replied, he started today something, but I interrupted him. "I'm going to take a nap."
"Okay," he said as he stared into my eyes, but I only smiled at him. I closed my door and then closed my eyes again.

"Blake, I'm sorry," Lacey said as I finished my story. "At least you have a new sibling." I shot her a glare and she looked away.
"He proposed to her, she has a life growing inside of her," I said. "They're going to move in and I have to be stuck with a family I don't want."
"I can kidnap you," she suggested and I looked over at her.
"Seriously, Lacey?" I looked at her blankly. "It's not kidnap if I come willingly." She laughed and we walked up on school campus. I saw some of the team in a group talking and we walked towards them.
Lacey ran up behind Justice and grabbed his waist, she thrusted her hips and Justice started twerking on her. She fell over laughing and Cody helped her up as he cackled.
"I got my side hoes!" Kingston yelled.
"You mean that zoo you're building on the side?" I asked, everyone eroded in laughter again.
"Ok, I got bars," he shot at me.
"Yeah, chocolate bars fatass," Lacey spoke up and we laughed even harder.
I was laughing till my side hurt and leaning on Reese, who was also laughing. At that moment, I wasn't thinking about anything, I was just laughing.
I was wiping tears from my eyes when the bell rang, Kingston was being salty and let me fall when I touched his shoulder.
"King, baby, let's taco 'bout it," I said, he pushed me making me laugh even harder. Reese finally pulled me to class and I sat down in my seat. I let out a sigh and looked over at Cody, we smiled and started laughing again.
My third period was chemistry and it wasn't exactly my best subject. I dropped some blue liquid into pink liquid and it bubbled.
"Ooh, I made something," I mumbled to myself, I waft the smell to my nose and my nose scrunched up. "Spells like ass though." My phone vibrated in my pocket and I took my glove off to pull it out.
I saw Desmond's contact popped up, I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion of him texting me. I saw a screenshot of something and I clicked the picture waiting for it to load.
It was messages between dad and Kate, they were talking about buying another house. My heart dropped to my butt and I pushed back from my station.
"I'm going to the bathroom," I said as I grabbed the pass, I walked down the hallway, but broke out into a run.
I stomped into the weight room and slammed the door shut. I gripped my hair and clenched my jaw tight. I kicked over the jump stools and then knocked over the water jug.
Dad getting married to Kate.
Having a new brother and sister.
Moving from my childhood home, the place who held the memories of my mother.
I felt my chest tighten up and my throat burn. I punched the punching bag and kicked in as hard as I could. I finally dropped to my knees and my body shook, I clenched my fists till my nails dug into my palms.
"Hi," a voice spoke and I jumped startled, I looked up and quickly looking for the voice. I saw Mason from the dinner.
"What're you doing in here?"
"I was lifting weights," he answered me as I stood up. "I was guessing you didn't see me when you walked in. I didn't want to watch, but I didn't want to leave either."
"Well good for you, I hope you enjoyed the freak show," I shot at him and he looked at him. "Don't look at me like that." I pushed him.
"Like what?"
"With pity, I don't want your stupid pity," I snapped at him as I shoved him again. "You want to come in my life and fucked shit up too? Go ahead, you can't do much worse than others have!" I started to shove him again, but he grabbed my wrists. "Let me go."
He let my wrists go, but I didn't take my eyes off him.
"Are you okay?" He asked and I was taken back by his question, but I regained myself and hid it.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I shot back and he stared back at me. "Do you have some kind of staring problem?"
"No, I'm just trying to figure out why you would lie to me," he said and I scoffed.
"I am okay, you don't know me," I spat at him.
"I don't have to know you to look into your eyes and see that you're not fine," he shot back at me and it took me off guard. I felt the tears prickle in my eyes and I looked away.
I felt warmth wrap around me and the smell of cologne fill my nose. He was hugging me. As soon as he did, I broke down. I gripped his shirt as I cried harder than I ever did.
It was like all my emotions bundled up inside me were all coming out. I couldn't hold them back, not that I really wanted to.
Reality hit me and I pulled away from him, I avoided eye contact as I walked past him. I walked out from the weight room and shut the door, I closed my eyes as I put my back against the door.
