Chapter 13
CHAPTER 13 // EDITED
"The Joker could kidnap me anytime," Lacey said with a smirk plastered on her face. She took a sip of her lemonade and I moved my legs in the bubbles.
"We're going to be raisins," I said blowing bubbles her way. "TV in the bathroom, greatest decision of my life." Lacey nodded and I took a bite of the peanut butter.
"Ooh, I like this party," a new voice spoke, I looked over to see VA standing in the doorway.
"Who the hell are you?" Lacey shot at her attempting to cover her bare chest.
"I'm Virginia, but please call me VA," she answered taking off her converse. "I'm Mason's sister–older sister." She pulled her shirt off exposing her white lace bra and Lacey looked over at me.
"She's not shy at all," she whispered, I chuckled and shook my head. VA wiggled from her pants exposing her white matching lace underwear.
She reached behind her back and Lacey raised her hands. "That's no need."
"Honey, I have nothing to be ashamed of," VA replied, she slipped off her bra and I laughed looking over at surprised Lacey. "Ok, make room." She stepped in the bathtub and sat in the middle. "This is one big bathtub." She glanced between us flashing her white teeth.
"Why'd you come here?" I asked, Lacey poured her a glass of lemonade and passed it to her. "Not that we don't enjoy the company."
"Mom is going out of town with your dad to start their case," she answered, she sipped her lemonade and licked her lips. "Mason is going somewhere, he won't tell me where."
"Is that a bad thing?" Lacey asked with a laugh, VA looked over at her and shrugged.
"Depends on his mood," she answered taking another sip, Lacey cleared her throat and VA looked her way. "I'm not one for secrets, but Mason's aren't mine to tell."
I looked down at the bubbles and a smile formed in my face. I looked up at the two girls and then at the TV.
"Let's finish watching the movie," I said, the two girls looked up at the TV and we laid back relaxing.
*
"Is this suppose to burn?" I asked feeling the black mask, Lacey swatted my hands and laid them back in my lap. "It was a "yes or no" answer."
"So, I just ordered the pizza," VA said once she walked into the living room with us. "I told them if they aren't knocking on the door in exactly thirty minutes, it's free."
"Nice," Lacey said giving her a high-five.
"Shouldn't we get dressed since someone is coming?" I asked as I readjusted my robe.
"They said it was a girl," she said waving me off, I chuckled with a shake of my head.
"What movie is next?" Lacey spoke while she waved her hands attempting to dry her nails.
"Do you like Supernatural?" VA asked, I froze and turned to look at VA.
"You like Supernatural?" I asked.
"Oh no," Lacey mumbled next to me, a smile came across VA's face and I mirrored her action.
"Team Dean or Team Sam?" I asked, VA scoffed and shook her head.
"Team Dean, obviously,"
"No way, Sam Winchester is way better," I argued.
"Have you seen Dean's car?"
"Have you seen Sam's abs?" She opened her mouth to argue and then closed it back.
"Touché," she said, I smirked and looked over at Lacey, who was shaking her head.
I turned on Netflix and went to Supernatural, I tossed the remote on the couch and sat in front of Lacey. VA plopped down in the recliner and Lacey reached over turning out the lights.
Lacey was tying the end of my French braid when a knock came across the door.
VA groaned looking down at her phone. "Two more minutes and it would've been free." I chuckled and pushed myself from the floor.
I walked over to the door and pulled it open revealing the delivery girl, only it was a girl, but not a pizza delivery girl.
"Miley, what are you doing here?" I asked looking down at the pizza box she was holding. She walked past me and tossed the box on the side table.
"Hello to you too," she replied with a smirk, she walked in to the living room and glanced between VA and Miley. Her eyes fell on VA. "You're new."
"I'm VA," VA replied with a smirk, Miley sent a smirk back and looked over at me.
"Spring break is almost over and you're spending it watching Netflix," she said with taunt in her tone.
"Why would you care?" I shot back at her, she laughed and shrugged.
"Who would want to go to a party alone?" She asked.
"Party?" VA spoke up at the sound of that. "I'm in."
"It's just a spring break party that the football team holds every year," Lacey said looking over at her, VA looked over at me.
"You're part of the football team," she said, I opened my mouth to argue, but I closed it right back knowing I was going to lose either way. "Then it's settled."
"Where are we going to get our outfits?" Lacey asked sitting up from the couch, a wicked smirk formed on VA's lips. "I don't like that face."
VA jumped up from her seat clapping her hands together. "I'll drive," she said hurrying over to wear her pants lay. She picked them up off the floor and fished her keys out from her back pocket.
"I call shotgun," I said quickly, Lacey groaned shooting me a glare and I laughed and followed VA out the door.
VA tossed the aux cord in my lap and opened the sunroof, I plugged in the jack and scrolled through my song list. I clicked on Kehlani, Crzy.
We were in the middle of a song by Halsey when VA whipped her car into a driveway. I recognized the house to be Mason's. I let out a breath and looked over at VA.
"I'm driving to the party," I said releasing the handle bar from the roof.
"I'm not that bad of a driver," she shot back, Miley scoffed and leaned up between the seats.
"You almost hit someone and then cut off a car, because you wanted to check out some guy," Miley said.
"I was actually checking out his girlfriend," she said in a matter of fact time. Miley shook her head and sat back again.
VA unlocked the front door letting us walk in, Miley and Lacey looked around in awe while I was already familiar with it. We followed behind VA up the stairs and into her bedroom.
Her room looked as if it was copied and pasted from a tumblr site. She had a unpacked couple boxes lying around, but it was cute other than that.
"I'll get the outfits," VA said walking over to what I guessed was her closet. She came back out with an armful of clothes, she tossed them on the bed and sighed looking at us. "Dig in."
After trying on multiple outfits and judging each other's, we finally found our outfits.
Miley wore a black top with a plaid button up shirt matched with black jeans. I wore a gray top that crossed in the back and light blue jeans. Lacey picked out a gray top and white jeans with holes down the legs. VA was the only one who picked out a dress, it was burgundy with slits down both sides.
"Squad goals," Lacey said glancing around at all of our outfits, her eyes landing on Miley. "Well, your request is still pending." She gave a mocking smile and looked back at her phone.
I stepped over the clothes that were strewn across the room and headed downstairs. I had to race VA to her car so I could beat her to the drivers seat.
I turned on to the street where the source of the party was being held. VA walked through the door first with me right behind her.
I pushed through the crowd of people while my eyes searched for Reese. My eyes fell on Zach and Justice, I walked over to them and their eyes moved over to me.
"Surprise, surprise," Zach said with a smirk. "The party animal showed up." I rolled my eyes and looked over at Justice.
"Where's my best friend?"
He looked over past me and pointed across the room. "He's sorta busy." I turned to look where he was pointing to see Reese on the couch. A girl was straddling his lap sucking his face off–that girl was Lindsey. I rolled my eyes with a scoff.
"Idiot," I said, I turned back to the two guys.
"I lost Lacey and VA," a new voice spoke up, I looked over to see Miley walking up next to me.
"I don't think we've met," Zach spoke up looking over at Miley. "I'm Zach, you are?"
"Taken," a voice said, VA snaked her arms over Miley's shoulders. Zach's smirk faltered, but it stayed on his face. VA grabbed Miley's arm starting to pull her away, she stopped and looked back at me. "You coming?"
"Yeah, I'll catch up," I called, she disappeared into the mix of people and I looked over at Zach. "I know your game, but she's not going to be part of it."
"If you want me to yourself, just say so, Gurlie," he said with a smirk, I shot him a glare, but he only sent me a wink. He knew I hated that nickname, I turned away from him and went on a search to find the other girls.
When I found them, VA was twerking while Lacey was catching it on video. I walked over to VA and she put her hand on my shoulder, she brought her leg up and twerked again.
For some reason, we attracted a crowd after a few more songs played and we dance with them. A song came on which made me smile over at Lacey–it was what they called my Joker smile.
"Aye, you better get that, girl," I heard VA call from the side, Lacey and I laughed finishing off our dance. We walked over to VA and Miley.
"You got some moves there," I heard someone say, I turned to see Mason standing with Cody and Reese. I didn't look at Reese, because of his idiocy to make out with that bimbo.
"Where you been?" VA asked walking up next to me. "You could've told me you were going to leave me home alone."
"You're a big girl," he retorted, but chuckled to himself. "Then again, you were the one who thought aliens were going to abduct you." I shook my head and turned pushing through the crowd.
I walked into the kitchen opening the cooler to fish out a bottle of water. I unscrewed the cap and took a swallowed as I walked towards the balcony door.
I started to walk out for some fresh air, but stopped when I saw a couple making out.
"Sorry, I didn't–" I didn't finish my sentence when the two broke apart and I recognized the girl. "You bitch."
"Here we go," Lindsey said rolling her eyes, she pushed the guy off her and looked at me.
"You have the nerve to cheat on my best friend twice?" I shot at her with venom in my voice. "You won't get the chance to keep your streak and cheat on him three times. I wouldn't be surprised if you've did it more than that." I turned to walk back in the house, but I was jerked back by my hair.
I grabbed her wrist turning around towards her, I twisted her arm making her let go.
"You were lucky not getting your ass kicked the first time," I snapped getting in her face. "Don't do something you're going to regret." She shoved me making me stumbled back slightly.
"You're only jealous that Reese shows me more attention than you," she retorted, I only laughed in her face.
"You can think that to make yourself feel better, but we both know the truth," I shot back with a smile, she narrowed her eyes and suddenly tackled me making us fall back into the kitchen.
"You've never even had a boyfriend–you haven't even had your first kiss," she snapped in my face. "You're too much like a boy, because you didn't have a mom to teach you right." I clenched my jaw and pushed her off me.
I jerked her by her hair and sent a blow against her jaw, she grabbed my jaw digging her nails into my skin.
"At least I know how to keep my legs closed like a lady rather than you that spreads them at demand," I said through gritted teeth, she pulled back and let her fist connect with my jaw.
"I have guys lined up wishing for the chance to date me," she hissed at me, blood slipped from her split lip and I laughed.
"They don't want to date you, they only want what's between your legs," I shot back, she jerked my hair again and stood up pulling my body up with her. She kicked me in my shin making me groan in pain, I grabbed her shirt and pushed her against the counter. "Is pulling my hair all you got? You'd think you'd be used to getting your hair yanked.
She shoved me back against the island and slapped my cheek making it slightly sting.
"I didn't need a mother to teach me how to fight," I shot at her through my teeth. "You only know how to take hits, because of your ex-boyfriend. Maybe that's why you think you're only good enough for sex." She came at me again and jerked at my shirt again.
"Hey!" Someone yelled, my waist was suddenly pulled back, but Lindsey still had my hair. I saw Justice was the one who was pulling Lindsey, I didn't know who had me, but I didn't care.
I went for her again, but the person had a strong grip on my waist. I still could reach far enough to kick her making her let my hair go.
"Blake, stop," I heard Reese tell coming up behind me, I looked back enough to see it was Zach holding me. Reese rushed over to Lindsey looking at her face.
Her lip was split open along with a bruise on her jaw, her hair was tangled falling in her face. Her shirt was ripped and her heels were missing. I know I didn't look any better, but I didn't care.
"Blake, what the hell is wrong with you?" Reese snapped at me.
"I was just standing out on the balcony when she came out there ambushing me with insults," Lindsey said, then she shot me a glare. "Then she started yanking my hair and hitting me." Reese looked over at me and I could see the anger in his eyes.
"We worked everything out Blake, why couldn't you stay out of it," he shot at me, I clenched my jaw and attempted to get ahold of her again, but Zach had a good grip.
"You can choke on a dick you lying little shit," I shot at her, my waist was suddenly let go and I started to lunge at her, but I was jerked back again by my arm. I glanced back to see Cody and I clawed at his hand in attempt to get him to let me go.
"That's enough, Blake," he shot at me, I turned away from him back towards Lindsey.
She shot daggers at me and spat blood making it land on my shirt. I clenched my jaw and struggled with everything I had to get loose from Cody's grip.
Someone suddenly pushed past me and I saw VA go for Lindsey. She pushed Reese out of the way and jerked Lindsey by her shirt throwing her to the floor.
"She was kissing another guy on the balcony and she made the first move," I shot at Reese, he scoffed and shook his head. "You're dead to me, Reese." I jerked away from Cody's grip and pushed through people.
I spotted something from the corner of my eye, I looked over to see Mason dancing with a girl. I looked away and didn't slow down till I got outside.
"Blake," I heard Lacey call from behind me, I ignored her as I kept walking towards VA's car. I looked down where Lindsey red spit had ran down my ripped top. I pulled it off tossing it to the ground. "Blake, you have to calm down." I spun around to look at her.
"Calm down? You actually have the nerve to tell me to calm down right now?" I snapped at her making her stop in her tracks. I turned away from her and walked away down the street.
