The Woods, The Necklace, and The Vow
The fog lifted upon the clearing as if it was waiting to welcome her. As she looked around, she noticed that there was a beautiful waterfall that flowed into a stream. She heard birds singing and the flowers were in bloom. Standing by the stream there was a young boy about her age. He was staring across the water at two figures that were walking away. One was a handsome young man and the other was a young lady wearing a beautiful blue kimono. Not knowing who they were, she turned to face the boy who had already turned toward her.
The children spent what seemed like ages together in the clearing; talking and laughing. Unfortunately, their time together was coming to an end. The fog had slowly crept up on them and had begun to thicken. The children knew that this ment they would be separated from one another. The young boy removed the necklace he was wearing and handed it to the girl. She smiled and gave him the necklace she was wearing in return. They made a vow that no matter what happened they would find each other again and that these necklaces would lead them back to one another. This was a vow they would never forget. The fog consumed the clearing and the children found themselves separated.
Unbeknownst to Rose, her parents had been searching frantically for her. Not knowing where she went or what had happened to her, they began to fear the worst. Suddenly, the fog at the edge of the woods began to clear and walking towards them was Rose. Her parents rushed towards her and threw their arms around her. They were thankful their daughter had returned to them unharmed.
