Saturday Morining
Saturday morning seemed to arrive faster then expected. The daughters of the Matsuda family were preparing to meet the men their father had chosen for them. As she dressed, Rose began to doubt her descision. Was this really what she wanted to do? Did she really want to lose the first man she had ever truly loved?
At the Nakamura household, Hiro and his brother Tatsuki were preparing to meet the women that their father had decided were suitable to marry. Tatsuki entered his brother's room and shut the door. He then asked "Are you sure this is what you really want?"
"What?" replied Hiro with a look of surprise.
"These past few days you've been different. You've been happier as of late. I can only guess that this has something to do with a woman. You're in love, right?"
"Yes" Hiro said honestly.
"Then why are you doing this?" Tatsuki pressed. "If you love this woman, then why don't you say anything? Just tell father that you don't want to go through with the betrothal!"
"I have no choice. This was decided a long time ago. I've known that I was betrothed and I never thought that I would find a woman that I could love" he responded. Then he sat on his bed and clasped his hands together. "I intend to refuse this betrothal, but it must be handled in the right manner. I don't want to offend her family and risk father's relations with them. I intend to explain the situation to them all in person. That is what I have decided after thinking long and hard over this dilemma. They have the right to hear it from me."
Tatsuki could only respond "I see." He didn't think that his brother had actually thought it all through. He believed that he was just going to give up without a fight. After talking with him, Tatsuki saw that Hiro wasn't as weak as he once was. His brother had changed in only a few short days because of his love. Tatsuki prayed that Hiro would never loose whoever it was that opened his brother's heart.
