Once it was closing time, which was 9:30pm, I clock out and walk home. I arrive home, at 9:45pm, and I unlock the door. I smile when I see Sarah sleeping on the couch.

I quickly change into pajamas and go back to Sarah. I pick her up gently, bring her to my bedroom, and tuck her in my bed. I get next to her and snuggle her as I fall asleep.

I wake up at 1:30am from one of those dreams where you're falling but you wake up right before you hit the ground. I huff in annoyance. Sarah stirs in her sleep. I look at her.

She stops stirring. I release a small breath I didn't know I was holding. I cuddle her. Sarah smiles in her sleep. I smile too. I fall asleep.

I wake up to my alarm, I turn it off.

After 10 minutes, Sarah wakes up, "Morning," I say to her.

"Morning, Vivi," she yawns and stretches.

I kiss her cheek, Sarah blushes.

"I had a question for you," Sarah says.

"Shoot," I say, looking at her.

"Is the veterinary clinic you work at taking or looking for any more volunteers?" she asks. She loves animals, like me.

I smile, "Yes, they're always looking for more volunteers,"

She smiles brightly, "Can I come with you to work?"

I nod, "I'll help you get signed up."

"Go get ready, I'll wait for you," Sarah says sweetly.

I go get ready in the bathroom. Once I'm done I go back to the bedroom. I see Sarah is dressed; a cherry blouse with jeans, her hair is in a ponytail that has a bow in it.

I was in my work outfit and my hair was braided today. I smile, "Well? Let's go, shall we?"

She nods and smiles, we leave. We walk to my work so we arrive in a bit.

I open and hold the door for Sarah, "After you m'lady," I smile.

She giggles, "Thank you!" and walks through the door.

I go in after her and go to the desk lady and introduce Sarah to Carly, the desk lady. I explain why she's here and Carly hands Sarah paper work to fill out.

Sarah fills out the paperwork and then hands it to Carly, "Would you mind waiting here while Viviana works, Sarah?"

Sarah nods as I clock in.
I go to work.
