The smooth glide of the entrances to our heaven had rung out thrice that condemned day as it would have typically. Our court resonated the indistinguishable sound of the ball clapping onto the newly waxed floors making my ears bleed. But not in anticipation, in fear. Our court constantly thrives on our hunger to strike and frankly, I misplaced my appetite for months and the field didn't seem to be starving as much as I hoped it would. How disheartening.
