Within a week after Zoom almost murdered Barry, things went down hill. Barry couldn’t move his legs because of his injuried back. Even his confidence was crushed. Barry decided to try walking again with the help of Mushroom and Joe. Iris, Cisco, Leah, and Caitlyn watched in case something went wrong. Barry only took six steps until he gave out and went back to his wheel chair. “At least we made some progress.” Mushroom stated.

“Yep, six whole steps. Someone get me a Bozo button.” Barry muttered.

“Hey, give yourself some credit. You just broke your back.” Cisco pointed out.

“Yeah, a normal person would’ve been paralyzed the rest of his life.” Iris said.

“How long until I’m fully healed?” Barry asked.

Caitlyn pulled up Barry’s MRI scan from a week ago which had a complete dislocation at the TL2-L1 interspace of the thoracolumbar junction. Then Caitlyn pulled up the MRI scan from this morning which showed that Barry was almost completely healed. Barry looked at his suit still sitting on the mannequin. “We’re going to get you back in that suit, Barry. Real quick, trust me.” Joe stated.

“Yeah. Plus me and Leah have been doing a great job keeping the city safe.” Mushroom said.

“And I’ve told Captain Singe that you were still sick and I would cover for you until you are better.” Leah stated.

“What are we gonna do about Zoom?” Barry asks.

“No sign of him since Cisco nailed him with that tranq dart.” Joe answers

“And I haven’t vibed since then.” Cisco added.

“Maybe Zoom’s not coming back.” Iris suggested.

“I highly doubt that.” Harry says as he walks into the cortex. He slings his bag over his shoulder. “Which is why I’m gonna go do something about it.”

“What do you mean go do something about it?” Caitlyn asked.

“I need access to your breach room and your speed cannon.”

“Why is that?” Barry asks.

“Because, Barry, it’s time to go home.” Harry says.

“So, you show up on our Earth, you screw everything up, and now you wanna go home.” Joe says.

“Sounds familiar” Leah says, a bit of bitterness in her voice.

“Again, that wasn’t me. I need to go take care of Zoom once and for all. Before anyone else gets killed.” Harry says.

“How do you plan on doing that?” Barry asks.

“I’ll think of something.”

“Very reassuring.” Mushroom says sarcastically.

“Ramon, if you’ll escort me to the speed cannon.”

“No, no, you can’t go through the breach.” Caitlyn said.

“Yeah he can. Jay taught us how to send people.” Cisco spoke up.

“That’s not what I mean. Look, if you can figure out how to stop Zoom on your Earth, you can figure out how to do it here. We need you to stay here until we defeat Zoom, Dr. Wells.”

“What I need, Dr. Snow is to return home. And I’m going to do that with or without your assistance.” Harry walked out of the cortex.

“If he wants to go… see ya.” Mushroom said.

“Look, like it or not, guys, we need his help.” Caitlyn said.

“I’m not sure another plan from Wells is what we need.” Joe said.

“Yeah. I mean, the last bright idea he has nearly got Barry killed.” Iris said.

“I know. But Jay’s gone. And Dr. Wells knows Zoom better than anyone. So, until Barry is back on his feet again, we need to keep Wells around in case Zoom returns.” Caitlyn said.

“Caitlyn, if he doesn’t want to be here, then we’re better off without him. Let him go.” Barry says.

“I can’t do that. Not yet.”

Caitlyn leaves the room. The alarm goes off making Cisco scramble to the computer. But it wasn’t a meta-human attack but instead a reminder for him. He had a date with Kendra Saunders from Jitters in an hour. “I think we’re gonna go out for dinner and a movie, and then, I don’t know maybe some breakfast.” Cisco listed.

Joe snickered, “Wait, breakfast?”

“Why breakfast?” Barry asked.

“Yeah…” Mushroom said, giving Cisco a smirk.

Cisco stared at the three “You know ‘Cause you go home and-”

“He’s messing with you, Cisco.” Leah chuckled.

Barry made a motion for Cisco to leave. Cisco points at hi and gives a brief chuckle before leaving. Leah's phone rings and she checks it to see that it’s from Patty. She leaves the room to take the call.

“Welp. Guess we should leave too. I wanna go home and actually sort my files on haunted places.” Mushroom says.

Mushroom gets behind Barry making him look at them confused. They start pushing him out of the cortex.

“What- Mushroom stop. You don’t need to baby me, I can push this myself.” Barry says.

“Nope. Remember the time you were babying me when I sprained my ankle falling down the stairs?”

“That’s different. You were 14. And I’m the older one.”

“Just let me have my payback.”

Outside near Leah’s place

After finishing a call from Patty, Leah headed to her shared apartment which she and Caitlyn share. But just as she was about to open the door, her head started to hurt. She rubbed her head trying to stop the pain but it wasn’t helping. Leah then used her powers to try and locate what was hurting her head. She tracked the source to Vaughan Pharmaceuticals. Without thinking, she used her powers to teleport herself to Vaughan. But by the time she got there, a man named Dr. Shore was on the ground dead from a head force trauma. She looked down at the injury, “What did this to you?” she asked to herself.

The same head pain in her started to die down but then she heard something in her head. “Sister…”

The voice was very faint but Leah knew that voice, “Grodd?”

The next morning crime scene at Vaughan Pharmacuticals

The police showed up at Vaughan the next morning. Leah decided to come along with Joe and Patty to figure out what happened. Patty arrived early on the scene, collecting little hairs that were scattered all over the crime scene. Joe and Leah arrived just moments later. “Oh good. You guys are here.” Patty said.

“What did you find Patty?” Joe asked.

“Just some weird-looking hairs all over the street. I’m gonna run them against the database and see what I can find.” Patty answered.

Leah was still a little out of it from last night. It wasn’t until Joe snapped her out of her trance. “You good?”

“Yeah. Yeah, just a rough night.” Leah answered before turning to Patty. “So who’s the victim?”

“His name’s Dr. Jeffrey Shore. He’s a biochemistry engineer here at Vaughan Pharmacuticals.” Patty stated.

“That makes the second dead lab tech in two weeks. And my guess is that just like the other one, this guy died from blunt force to the head. But not before he stole a serum from their storage cooler.” Leah explained.

“Really what kind of serum?” Joe asked.

“It’s called Cortexin. It’s used to treat encephalopathy, a blood disease in the brain.” Patty answered. “Oh and look at this.”

Patty pointed to the warning sign which was high up  and covered in blood. “Point of impact. His collages found him dead a few mintues later and the serum is still missing.”

“Patty, could you run through what you told us to her and see if you can get anything else,” Leah asked pointing to another cop. “I need to speak with Joe.”

“Sure. I’ll see if these cases are linked.” Patty said then she sneaked a kiss on Leah’s cheek and left.

Leah pulled Joe to the side to make sure that no one else heard them. “Ok, what’s wrong? You’ve been spaced out lately.” Joe stated.

“Joe. Last night I had this headache. And my power led me to the source which was here. I found our dead scientist already dead but not before I heard something.”

“Heard something? You mean telepathically?”

“I… I hear him, Joe. I heard Grodd, last night.”

“Are you sure? Because I thought you stopped reaching out to him.”

“I did. But I know his voice. I heard him. Maybe he has something to do with this, I don’t know. Just don’t tell Barry until I know for sure.”

“Ok, but if Grodd is behind this…”

“I’ll tell you.”

S.T.A.R Labs training room

Barry was on the treadmill walking, gradually building up some speed. Mushroom was with him in the room since they didn’t want him getting hurt. Iris and Joe were behind the glass. Joe kept telling Barry to push himself so he started to run a bit faster and faster. Till he stumbled and fell off the treadmill. Mushroom’s eyes widened and they tried to catch him only to have him fall on them. Joe and Iris soon run in as Barry gets up. Mushroom sits up.

“Are you ok?” Iris asks

“Oh, yeah, you know? I’m not doing that great right now.” Barry says as he gets back up on the treadmill.

“What happened?” Joe asks.

“I just… Nothing. I’m good, all right? Just forget it.”

“Barry, talk to us. We can help you.” Iris says.

“No, you can’t help me. Not this time. I’m sorry. You wouldn’t understand.” Barry sits down on the edge of the treadmill.

Iris leaves the room as Joe sits by Barry. Mushroom stays where they are not wanting to interrupt on the conversion.

“What up, Barr?” Joe asks.

“Zoom destroyed me. He showed everyone in Central City what he could do, and that I’m powerless to stop him. They gave me a key to this city, Joe. I’m supposed to be their hero. I’m supposed to be the guy that can protect them from something as evil as that. And I failed In front of all of them.” Barry says. He sighs and gets up as well as Joe. “When they think of The Flash all they see now is someone not strong enough to protect them.”

Mushroom gets up as Barry limps out of the room. They follow after him before stepping in front. He looks away and they sigh. They just hug him and he returns the hug.

The Riff

Down in the basement, Cisco was talking to Leah and Caitlyn about what he vibed from Kendra last night. Have there been any reports of anything recently about a Birdman attacking anywhere?” Cisco asked.

“A Birdman? Really Cisco? There’s no such thing.” Leah stated.

“Okay, like that’s a stretch. In this city?” Cisco asked.

“Cisco has a point.” Caitlyn said.

“Look, I know what I vibed. It was a man with these big, wide wings. It was crazy. What if it was an angel?” Cisco said.

“An angel? Here in Central City? So you vibed seeing Lucifer himself?” Leah joked.

“Har, har.”

Caitlyn didn’t say a word to what Cisco said. But that was when she turned around to face him and then punched Cisco so hard that he fell to the ground. “Caitlyn!” Leah shouted.

But Caitlyn just grabbed Leah’s arm and dragged her out of the room. “What’s gotten into you?” Leah asked her but she didn’t reply.

The Hallway

Joe, Iris and Mushroom were worried about Barry. Joe kept on trying to talk to Barry but he couldn’t get through to him, neither could Mushroom. Iris thought that maybe they should get the person who can get through to him which was a good idea. Joe and Mushroom say goodbye to Iris as Joe’s phone rings. It was Patty. Mushroom walked with Joe as he talked with Patty about what she found on the case. She had found that the dead scientist cases were linked and the drugs they stole had in common that they were nootropic drugs, used to enhance intelligence. She had also found that the hairs found at the crime scenes belonged to a Gorilla but Joe had already guessed that. Joe quickly hanged up the phone.

“Grodd is back.” Joe said to Mushroom before running to the cortex.

“Grodd is back?” Mushroom repeats, surprised. They run after Joe.

The Cortex

Barry was sitting in his chair in the cortex, looking at his suit when Cisco walked in, holding his bruised face. “Did Caitlin and Leah come through here?” Cisco asked.

“No.” Barry answered.

“Caitlin just hit me in the face and ran away, taking Leah with her.” Cisco stated.

Just then, Joe and Mushroom came running into the cortex. “Grodd!” Joe shouted.

Both Cisco and Barry were shocked then Cisco realized that Caitlin was being mind-controlled by Grodd. Cisco quickly pulled up the security footage and saw Caitlin dragging Leah outside with Grodd walking out from behind the building. Mushroom and Cisco ran out back to catch them but it was too late, they were already gone.

Cisco and Mushroom went back to the cortex. Harry soon also arrived when he heard what happened. He watched as Cisco was checking the satellite for any sign of Grodd, Caitlin or Leah.

“I’m continually amazed by the similarities between our two worlds.” Harry comments.

“You got talking gorillas on your Earth, too?” Joe asks.

“Oh, Yeah.”

“Remind me to never go there.”

“Ramon, why would this Grodd abduct Dr. Snow and Miss Leah?”

“I don’t know. It doesn’t make any sense. She was always so nice to him.” Cisco answers.

“With Leah, it makes sorta sense. She’s his sister, the only family he had. It makes sense he would want her.” Mushroom comments.

“Sister?” Harry asked in confusion, “How is Miss Leah Grodd’s sister?”

“Leah was experimented on the same way Grodd was except she was also given gorilla DNA in her to make her half ape.” Cisco answered.

“Leah shares a link with Grodd. Which is why she figured Grodd killed those two lab technicians. And she was right.” Joe stated, “Now he has chemicals that enhance intelligence. He wants Caitlin for something.”

Cisco checked the footage in the sewers but he wasn’t there. “Well, looks like he left his bachelor pad in the sewers.”

“Grodd’s a big-ass gorilla. He can;t just waltz through downtown like King Kong without anybody noticing.” Mushroom said.

“Right. And if there’s been sightings, then we might be able to approximate his location.” Harry said.

“I can call C.C.P.D. They can access the tip hotlines. Send over files of Grodd recent attacks.” Joe said as he gets his phone out of his pocket.

“We got to get them back.” Cisco said as he stood up.

“We will.” Harry says.

Harry and Cisco left the cortex. Joe glances over at Barry who was looking down, playing with the cane he’s been using. Mushroom notices and looks at Barry as well.

“Barry?” Joe calls. Barry doesn’t answer.

“Hey doofus.” Mushroom calls, shaking his shoulder. Barry snaps out of his daze and looks at Mushroom before looking at Joe.

“Yeah?” He asks.

“You can’t blame yourself for this. There’s nothing you could’ve done.” Joe says.

“I still don’t have my speed. How are we supposed to save Leah and Caitlin from Grodd?”

“We still have me and Ghost.” Mushroom says.

“And what if he takes control of your mind?” Mushroom’s lips thin at that.

“You may not have your legs just yet, but you still got that brain. Use it. Help us figure that out.” Joe says to Barry before leaving the cortex.

Barry looks over at the monitors as well as Mushroom. “Where are you?” Barry whispered.

Bell Tower

Somewhere in the city, Leah and Caitlin were inside a bell tower that was abandoned. Caitlin was lying in the floor, unconscious after Grodd mind controlled her. Leah looked around the bell tower, she saw the stolen chemicals on the floor next to what looked like mathmatic equations for something. Grodd was getting smarter. Caitlin suddenly woke up and saw the equations and chemicals as well. “Leah…”

“Cait, it’s ok.” Leah said, “You were being controlled.”

Leah and Caitlin suddenly heard Grodd. “Caitlin. Sister…”

“Grodd? Are you here?” Leah asked.

They heard his loud footsteps then he came down swinging from the beams and landed in front of them. “Caitlin… always… kind.” Grodd said, looking at Cailtin.

Leah slowly walked up to her brother. A part of her was happy to see him again but another part of her was telling her that someone was wrong. “Grodd? Why haven’t you answered me before? I tried to find you after Wells was gone.” Leah asked. 

Grodd looked at her then he gently touched her with his hand. “Grodd… protect… sister… Needed to stay away.”

“Stay away? You wanted me to stay with Caitlin?” Leah asked. “Then why did you bring us here?”

“Need help.” Grodd stated.

“I… I don’t understand.” Caitlin spoke.

Leah looked closer at the chemicals; some of which she was familiar with. She need what Grodd wanted Caitllin to do for him. “Caitlin, he wants you be make more like him.” Leah answered.

“What?” Caitlin asked, confused.

“Grodd wants more like him. He wants you to do the same process that was done on us.” Leah answered.

“But I don’t know how to do that.” Caitlin stated.

Grodd then turned to Caitlin, baring his teeth at her, “Learn.” he growled.

S.T.A.R Labs

Barry was running on the treadmill again trying to build up his speed. Mushroom watched, concerned for him. He soon turned the treadmill off as he panted.

“Keep that chin down, slugger.” A familiar voice said from the doorway. Mushroom and Barry looked over to see Henry.

“Dad.” Barry said.

Barry walked over and hugged Henry tightly who hugged back. Mushroom chuckles a bit as they walked over. Henry grabbed their arm and pulled them into the hug as well. Joe and Iris were watching the Allen family reunion from a distance. “That was a hell of an idea you had, bringing Henry here.” Joe said to Iris.

“Well, he may not have his mother, but he’s got two amazing fathers and a great sister. Seemed like he needed both.” Iris explained as the two of them left.

Henry and Barry soon headed to the medical area of the cortex. Mushroom wasn’t to far behind as they leaned against the doorway as Henry looked at Barry’s scans. Henry didn’t see anything wrong with the scans and that the bone fused beautifully.

“I’d give you some physical therapy, but you do need it.” Henry said.

“I’m really glad you’re here, Dad. We both are.” Barry said.

“Me too. You know, I tried to call, but you can’t get a cell in Granite Peak National Park. So… “

“Granite Peak? What, you went camping by yourself?”

“It’s probably better by himself than with two rowdy kids who always took off.” Mushroom jokes with a chuckle. Henry laughs.

“Yeah. Yeah, I got a tent. I went fishing every day. I have had my fill of largemouth bass for a while.” Henry says. Barry chuckles before looking down. “Sometimes, you just have to slow down,” Barry looks back up at him. “To get back to where you want to be.”

“Yeah. Dad-”

“Hey, guys!” Cisco interrupts as he walks into the cortex. All 3 Allens look over at him. “I think we found them.”

“Yeah?” Barry says as he gets up and walks over.

Henry and Mushroom follow behind walking over to where Cisco is. He pulls up the monitor where there are three possible locations displayed.

“Grodd has to be in one of these three bell towers. The only reason we couldn’t find them on any cameras underneath the city before is, ‘cause he upgraded from a bachelor pad to the penthouse like a baller.” Cisco explains.

“Okay. So, we know where he is, we still don’t know how to get to them without risking him taking Ghost and Mushroom.” Barry says.

“We got a plan for you.”

“What’s the plan?”

“We use me.” A voice says.

Everyone looks over to see who they think is the Reverse Flash. Barry speeds over and pins him to the wall, putting his arm against his neck as Mushroom’s eyes turn black.

“That’s Harry! That’s the other Wells!” Cisco shouts, running over to Barry and Harry.

“Barry…” Harry chokes out.

“Let him go. Let him go.” Cisco pulls Barry off. Barry backs up as Harry takes the cowl of the suit off.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Barry said.

“They don’t like you in that suit.” Ghost says, her echo-like voice sounding a bit more menacing than usual.

Ghost let Mushroom regain control. “We found another suit in the Time Vault.” Cisco explained.

“I thought he was dead.” Henry stated.

“He’s dead.” Barry said, “This is… this is Harrison Wells from Earth-2.”

“Earth-2?” Henry asked.

“Long story,” Mushroom stated.

“If we can get Harry to convince Grodd that he’s Wells, that he’s his father, maybe we can convince him to let Caitlin and Leah go.”

“I’m not gonna be able to help if anything goes wrong.” Barry says.

“That’s a chance I’m willing to take.” Harry said.

“Me and Ghost will go with them to help.” Mushroom said. “Ghost wants to help.”

The Bell Tower

Cisco, Ghost, and Harry had check the other two bell towers and found nothing. They arrived at the third one. Cisco made anti mind control ear buds for Harry and Ghost, hoping that it would work against Grodd. “Okay, let’s do this again. Gimme your best Wells.” Cisco said to Harry.

“I’m not doing the Wells again, Ramon.” Harry complained. “I told you…”

“Look.I just made these anti mind control ear buds. They could fail and if they do, you two are toast, so you’re gonna need to nail it if you want to live.” Cisco stated.

“ If he wants to live.” Ghost muttered.

Harry sighs “Ramon-” He starts.

“Cisco” Cisco corrects.

“Cisco… In many ways, you’ve shown me what it’s like to have a son.” Harry says, just sounding like himself. Cisco rubs his forehead. “What?”

“Okay. Let’s, let’s just try it again. This time, up the creep factor, like, a lot more. And, make it a little more sincere. Like you really love me, but you’re gonna have to kill me anyway.” Cisco direcects.

“Cisco, In many ways, you’ve shown me what it's like to have a son.” Harry says, sounding a lot like the reverse flash.

“Yep. That’s the one. Here you go.” Cisco hands Harry a file.

Cisco’s phone rings. Ghost grabs it and hands it to Cisco. He answers it.

“Yeah, we’re moving on to the third location,” Cisco said.

“Copy that.” Barry answered on the other end.

Meanwhile inside the Bell Tower, Caitlin was explained to Grodd how she could use the chemicals he had stole to duplicate the growth that was done on him without the particle accelerator explosion. Leah wasn’t scared of Grodd. She used her telepathy to communicate with Grodd just like they used to before she learned to speak. Just then, Grodd heard someone coming and he started to get protective around Leah.

“Hey, Buddy.” Harry said. Grodd growled. “Easy buddy. It’s me. I’m back.”

“Father? You died.” Grodd said.

“No.” Harry walked in a bit before looking back at Grodd. “No Buddy. I didn’t die. I just went away for a while. But now that I’m back, we don’t need Caitlin or Leah anymore, do we, buddy? So, you can let them go.”

Leah gestured for Harry to stop because she knew how Wells acted to her and Grodd. Grodd wasn’t falling for it. “Father never ask. Father take.” Grodd stated with anger.

Caitlin tried to run but Grodd stopped her with his mind control powers. He then angrily slapped Harry hard enough to send him crashing into a wall. Leah ran over to Caitlin, trying to get her out of Grodd’s control but he was stronger than her. Just then, Cisco snuck in and put the anti mind control ear buds in Caitlin’s ears, freeing her. “Thank god, you’re here Cisco,” Leah stated.

The three of them couldn’t leave without Harry. Then Leah got an idea, “Harry, keep Grodd distracted. I got an idea.” Leah said to Harry, using her telepathy powers to tell him her idea.

Harry stood up, ignoring the pain and looked Grodd in the eye. “I am father. And you hit father. Look at me!” Harry shouted, getting Grodd attention. “I would never leave you here alone. Grodd, I made you a promise. I have bigger plans for you. Remember? One day, this city will be yours. I promised you. I intend to honor that promise.”

Grodd was buying Harry’s act that he didn’t see Leah grab a syring loaded with the drugs he had stolen. She quickly stabbed Grodd with the srying making him howl in pain with the drugs overloading his brain. “Run!” Leah shouted.

All four of them ran out of the bell tower, Leah took one look at Grodd. “I’m sorry.” she whispered then left.

S.T.A.R Labs

Caitlin was patching up Harry’s injuries after the rescue. Joe was thinking of getting rid of Grodd for good as in killing him but Leah shot that down immediately saying he just wants a family. Harry explained that he discovered the same thing they did on his earth of 51 one breaches as well. Only they were spread out throughout his world instead of just in Central City. He suggested they could send Grodd to a connecting breach to his earth which connected to a whole forest of telepathic apes that roam freely.

“Okay. Even if you’re right, how do we bait Grodd to go through it.” Joe asks.

“My son will do it.” Henry answers. “Won’t you, Flash.” Barry nods.

Outside The Bell Tower

Leah walked outside of the bell tower, nervous. She then gathered her courage, “Grodd?” she called out.

She heard his voice in her head, “Sister…”

Grodd burst out of the bell tower and landed in front of Leah. But the Flash zoomed over and got her out of there. He then came back and stood in front of Grodd. “Flash.”

“You want Leah, Grodd. You’re gonna have to catch me first.” Flash stated before speeding off.

Grodd began to chase after the Flash.

S.T.A.R Labs.

“So, Barry’s gonna lure Grodd in front of the breach.” Henry said, looking at the monitors with the security footage.

“Yep. And once he gets him in the right spot, Cisco’s gonna blast him into Earth-2 with his thingamajig.” Joe explains.

“Speed cannon.” Mushroom corrects as they float upside down in front of the monitor watching the footage on it.

“Well, things have gotten a lot more complicated since I got out of prison. My youngest is literally floating.” Henry says.

“Man, you have no idea.” Joe agrees.

Flash was almost in position as Cisco and Harry were already done setting up the speed cannon. Flash arrived at the location just in time. Grodd showed up seconds later, angry and asking for Leah. He then used his powers on the Flash, making him see the fight with Zoom over and over again then he hit the flash, sending him flying to the ground. The Flash tries to get up but Grodd walks over and puts his foot on his chest to keep him down.

“Where is sister, Flash?” Grodd demands

“Right here.” Leah says. “You need to let him go, Grodd.”

“Flash is my enemy.” Grodd stated.

“No. He was trying to save me and Caitlin from you. They didn’t understand what you wanted, but I do.” Leah stated, slowly walking towards him. “I can help you. I can give you a home. You just have to trust me. Please.”

Grodd looked at Leah; he then moved his foot off the Flash and walked towards Leah. Once he was in position, Cisco turned on the Speed Cannon. The Flash ran over and sped Leah away from the breach so she wouldn’t get sucked in too. Grodd started to get sucked into the breach but even with the speed canon on full power, Grodd was still strong enough to try and get free.

“Barry.” Henry starts talking through the ear piece. “You can’t let Grodd get free. Conquer your fears, son. Believe in yourself.”

The Flash ran over before coming back and punching Grodd with a speed punch. The force sent Grodd into the breach and he was soon sucked into it before it closed. “Welcome back, Flash.” Cisco stated.

The Cortex

Once Grodd was sent away, everyone gathered in the cortex. They looked at the suit that belonged to Wells. “I can’t believe something good finally came from that suit.” Caitlin stated.

“First and the last time.” Barry commented.

“That thing still gives me the creeps. We should destroy it.” Cisco said.

“Let’s do that, but see if you can figure out how to get it back in this ring first.” Barry said and tossed the ring at Cisco who caught it. “It might be nice to have something like that instead of carrying around a bag all the time.”

“That’s why I just fight in what I have on at the time.” Mushroom says.

“We really got to get you a suit before you injure yourself.” Caitlin says.

“I can help you with the ring.” Harry says, making everyone look at him. “What? I know a thing or two about microtechnology.”

“Yeah. You know a thing or two about a lot of things.” Cisco says.

“Isn’t microtechnology used in Ant-Man’s suit?” Leah asks.

“Yeah.” Mushroom answers.

“Well, as long as what he knows keeps my kids and these good people safe, the more you know, the better.” Henry said.

Mushroom and Barry left with Henry. Leah still felt guilty for sending Grodd away. “So, Harry, this place on your Earth that we’ve sent Grodd, what is it exactly?” Leah asked.

“It’s a refuge where gorillas subjected to lab experiments, like Grodd, can roam freely.” Harry explained.

“I don’t know. I still feel like I betrayed him. He’s my brother.” Leah said.

“No, don’t say that. You didn’t betray him. You gave him a better life.” Cisco said to Leah then he looked at Harry. “I still don’t understand, though, I… Why do the breaches on our Earth lead to different places on yours?”

“I don’t know yet, Ramon, but I do know we have to close them all, and I don’t know how to do that.” Harry explained,

“You don’t have to do it alone anymore. Any of it.” Caitlin said, “Together, we defeated Grodd, and if we stay that way, we will figure out how to close the breaches, get Zoom, and get you your daughter back.”

The West House

Henry, Barry, Mushroom, Joe and Iris all headed back to the West house as it was getting close to when Henry would have to leave. Joe had gotten the pictures of Barry and Mushroom while they were children out to Henry. Henry looked at one with Barry and his project at the science fair.

“Oh, this one is definitely a keeper.” Henry said as he showed the others.

“Oh, Yeah.” Joe chuckles. “He could’ve done just the standard baking-soda-and-vinegar volcano, but no. Barry wanted to do a molecular structure of chocolate and nougat.”

“It’s my favorite candy bar.” Barry says.

“Who does that in the sixth grade?”

“Well, a true science nerd. Like father, like son, I suppose.” Henry says. He grabs another photo but this one was of Mushroom on Halloween dressed on Lagoona Blue from Monster High. Henry chuckles and shows it.

“Not that one-” Mushroom groans burying their face in their hands, embarrassed. Joe chuckles.

“Mushroom insisted on being her for that Halloween. They were so excited that day.” Joe says.

“I forgot that you used to be a 4 eyes.” Barry jokes, referring to their glasses in the picture. Mushroom leans over to the table and smacks his arm only to make him chuckle.

“I’m always amazed by how similar you two can be yet can also be complete opposites.” Henry says.

“Ok, we should get going.” Mushroom stated.

Henry insisted on keeping the two photos of Barry and Mushroom. He thanked Iris for calling him. Then the three of them left.
