Barry narrates "So far that's my story up till now. I wish I knew who killed my mother. But for now... I just got to keep running."

Barry was running down the street and bumped into someone and says "I'm so sorry, Sir. I was running to get to work."

He says "It's okay. Just get to work."

Barry says "Thank you."

Barry runs off to a crime scene and Barry says "Detective Allen, coming through."

Barry walked up when the captain says "If Detective Barry Allen isn't here soon, we'll have to continue this investigation without him."

Alex says "No, he'll be here."

Aurora says "Yeah."

The Captain says "Detective Allen and Garrick. I know you two. You cover for your brother."

Barry says "Not always."

The Captain says "Detective Allen. Where were you?"

Barry was about to say something but was interrupted by the Captain "Before you answer that, may I remind you of the excuse you gave me, was car trouble? Do you know why that one is memorable?"

Barry says "I do not own a car."

The Captain says "And you always take your partner's car. Which is..."

Barry says "Detective Jamie West's."

He nods

Barry says "I wasn't anywhere near her. And I didn't want to bother her."

The Captain says "Well, Allen, try to get here when I call you, please. Besides your partner is about to be here. She's probably trying to cover up the fact you were late with her being even later."

Then a voice yells "Detective West, coming through."

Barry knew who it was and she walked up and says "Sorry, I'm late Captain. I lost my keys to my car and it took me a while to find them."

Barry smiles at that

The Captain says "Just show up on time, Detective West. Detective Barry?"

Barry looks at him and the Captain says "Do what you do best."

Barry nods and walks up and scans the area

He noticed that the tire tracks were rear super-wide tires and it had 12 inches with asymmetrical tread.

Barry says "Getaway car is a Mustang Shelby GT500. Shelby's has a super-wide tire for that specific model. With 12 inches of asymmetrical tread."

Jamie says "What's that?" pointing at something brown

Barry says "Pen?"

Jamie handed him a pen

Barry picks at it and sniffs it and pulls his face away and says "Fecal Excrement. Animal, I'd guess. I'll bring this to the lab for analysis."

They nod

Jamie says "But that was my favorite pen."

Barry says "Then why did you hand me it?"

Jamie says "You'll give it back right?"

Barry says "Yes, Jam. When I... finish analyzing the excrement."

Jamie says "Come on then, Barr."

Barry gets up and walks to the car and gets in

They close the doors

Jamie says "You were late weren't you?"

Barry says "I wasn't trying to be."

Jamie says "Johnathon, you have to be on time."

Barry says "Johnathon? Man, I must be in trouble."

Jamie says "Oh, stop it, you."

They share a passionate kiss and he cups her cheek

They pull away

Barry says "You know, they are days I miss being John. But then there are other days where I like being Barry Allen."

Jamie says "Well, Barry Allen, doesn't define you. You do. Not a name."

Barry says "I prefer Barry."

Jamie says "I know you do, Barr. Or I could call you Bartholomew when I'm mad."

Barry says "I love it when you're mad. You're angry face is such a turn-on."

Jamie blushes and says "Shut up!" throwing a teddy bear at him.

He laughs and they pull out and drive to the CCPD

At CCPD

Barry and Jamie walk in and walk to his lab

Barry started to scan the Excrement.

Jamie was watching him in his element. She loved him being himself.

Barry was just waiting for the scan when Jamie says "You still want to go see the Particle Accelerator turn on?"

Barry says "I'm hoping too, but I might not."

Then footsteps come near and voices say "Barr?"

Barry looked up and saw Iris and Alex.

Barry says "Hey, Alex, Iris."

Alex says "I came to check on you."

Barry says "You don't always have to worry about me, Alex."

Alex says "John."

Barry stops in his tracks and looks at him and says "That's not my name... Not anymore."

Alex says "You call me Jake sometimes."

Barry says "You liked your name. I didn't. I hated the name, John or Johnathon. So I changed it to a name I liked?"

Alex says "Bartholomew?"

Barry says "It's better in my head."

Alex shakes his head.

Iris says "So are we four going to go see the accelerator turn on?"

Barry says "We might not be able to. We got a case to solve."

Iris says "You know we canceled our date for this."

Barry shakes his head and walks over to the computer.

Iris walks over to his desk and takes a fry.

Barry noticed that and grabbed his fries and says "Hey! Hands off my fries. You know how I am."

Iris says "Yes, I do. I just grabbed one."

Alex says "Barr, I love you, Little brother. But don't act like that."

Barry says "Fine. Please, don't touch my food, Iris."

Alex smiles and shakes his head

Iris and Jamie ask in unison "What's so important about this Particle Accelerator anyway?"

Alex smiles as he was about to see his brother be himself

Barry says "Harrison Wells' work in quantum theory is light years ahead of anything there going at CERN."

Iris says "Barr, you're doing that thing again where you don't speak English."

Barry walks over to the drawing board and makes a dot on it and says "Imagine that that dot is everything the human race knows about until this moment."

Iris asks "Does that include 'Twerking'?"

Alex says "I... don't know."

Iris saw him and shakes her head

Barry draws a circle around the dot and says "And that is everything we could learn from the Particle Accelerator. It's a whole new way of looking at physics. It will literally change the way that we think about... everything."

Iris says "You need to get yourself a girlfriend."

Jamie coughs at that

Barry starts to laugh and says "Well, uh, um, I..."

Alex and Iris saw this and ask in unison "Are you two..."

Alex says "Oh, my god. I knew it. You're with Jamie."

Barry says "Now, hold on."

Alex says "I just wish you told me sooner."

Barry says "I wanted to. But I also wanted to respect what she wanted."

Jamie says "And I didn't want to tell everyone just yet."

Alex says "Makes sense. I bet it's hard to be with him."

Barry says "Jake!?"

Alex says "What..." chuckling

Alex says "I'm joking."

Then a voice says "Leave him alone he's working."

It was Joe.

Then a beep on the computer

Iris says "You're testing thingy is done."

Barry says "I know, Iris."

Barry walked over and says "I think the Mardon brothers are hiding on a farm. The excrement had traces of a medicine called oxytetracycline. And there are only four farms in the area that still use it for their feed. Bet you find a sweet Shelby parked at one."

Everyone in the room smiles and Iris asks "Dad, seeing how Barry solved your poop problem how about letting him and Alex go to S.T.A.R. Labs."

Joe sighs and says "Fine. Go." smiling at them

Jamie says "Thanks, Dad." kissing his cheek

Iris says "Yeah, what she said." kissing his cheek 

Alex and Barry follow the girls and they left for S.T.A.R. Labs.

At STAR Labs

Barry, Alex, Iris, and Jamie were walking into the crowd.

Jamie was holding Barry's arm and asks "So how was your trip to Star City? Did you find proof of the impossible?"

Alex and Iris ask in unison "Yeah?"

Barry says "No, sadly I did not. But I met someone. You can call him a friend."

Jamie says "A Friend?"

Barry says "Yeah. You guys might meet him. Someday."

Alex says "So what's this friend's name?"

Barry says "Oliver. I helped him in Star City."

Iris asks "With what?"

Barry says "I can't say. I promised I wouldn't."

They all say "Okay." in unison

Then the crowd started to clap and cheer as Harrison Wells says "Thank you. My name is Harrison Wells. Tonight, the future begins. The work my team and I will do here will change our understanding of physics. We'll bring about advancements in power, and advancements in medicine, and trust me, that future will be here faster than you think."

A man comes running grabbing Jamie and Iris' bags

Barry, Alex, and Jamie run after him.

Barry caught up with him and pushes him down to the ground and pulls out cuffs and says "One thing you shouldn't do... Is stealing a police officer's bag!"

The man was trying to move

Barry says "Stop moving. You're under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you can't afford an attorney one will be appointed to you. Do you understand these rights as I have given to you?"

The man says "Yes."

Alex says "You must be a special kind of idiot. Taking a police officer's bag. I'll take him in."

Barry says "No, we all should head back anyway."

Alex says "You don't want to watch them turn it on?"

Barry says "I did. But someone had to steal something."

The man just stands there.

Alex says "Okay, meet you all there. Can you two bring Iris? I don't trust her in the car with this son of bitch."

Barry and Jamie say in unison "Yeah."

Alex takes him away and someone walks over and asks "What happened?"

Barry says "Nothing you need to worry about, Civilian. You're safe now."

He says "I'm not a civilian. I'm a detective."

He shows his badge and Barry says "Right. Detective Eddie Thawne. I'm Detective Barry Allen. This is Detective Jamie West."

Eddie says "Yeah, nice to meet you."

Barry says "All he did was take Jamie's bag with her sister's."

Eddie says "Taking a cops bag?"

Barry says "I know right? I said the same thing."

Eddie says "Well, I'll see you guys down at the station."

Barry and Jamie nod and leave to go get Iris and they drive back to CCPD

At CCPD

Barry, Jamie, and Iris walk over and see Alex filing a report.

Alex looks up and says "You guys made it. Don't worry, He's being put in a cell." 

Then a figure walks over and it was Captain David Singh.

Singh says "Yeah, so you all can rest easy now. Alex handed it."

Jamie asks "Well, we can watch the accelerator turn on the news in the lab."

Barry says "That's fine with me. See you later, Alex."

Alex says "You too, Little brother."

Jamie and Barry leave for the lab

In the Lab at CCPD

Jamie and Barry walked in and Barry takes off his coat and turns on the news on his computer.

The news says "I'm Linda Park, and we're live outside of STAR Labs despite the inclement weather, which is only going to get worse. The torrential downpour has in no way affected the particle accelerator, which is up and running smoothly according to STAR Labs CEO Harrison Wells."

Barry pulls up the map on the board revealing the evidence of his mother's death. 

Jamie walks over and holds his hand and says "You'll find them."

Barry says "I hope you're right. I love you."

Jamie puts her head against his head and says "I love you too."

They share a kiss and the news says "The storm may have caused a malfunction to the primary cooling system." They pulled away from the kiss and heard "Officials are now trying to shut down the particle accelerator, but so far, have been unable regain control of the system--"

Then the lights and computer turned off and Both Jamie and Barry look up and see STAR Labs explode. Barry says "Oh my god." 

Jamie saw that the water was coming in and said, "Barr, the ceiling?" 

Barry walks over with Jamie and they turn the chain together to close the window.

Then they saw liquid chemicals floating in the air. Then they heard thunder and looked up and both of them were struck by lightning.

And knocked them both into the shelf behind them as electricity courses through their veins.

Alex came in and yells "Help! Barry and Jamie are down! In the Lab!"

Alex rushes over and says "Hang on, Barry, Jamie."

Aurora comes in and says "Oh my god." she rushes over and says "Barry?"

Paramedics came in and carried them to the ambulance and they drove to the hospital.

At the Hospital with Barry and Jamie unconscious

The doctor asks "What the hell happened?"

Paramedic 1 says "They both were struck by lightning."

Paramedic 2 asks "How are they alive?"

And they start to work on them

Iris, Alex, and Aurora come in and the nurse says "You can't be in here."

They yell "We're family. Barry! Jamie!"

And Barry and Jamie were going into cardiac arrest and they use a defibrillator.
