"Scarlet! Get up! There's no time to explain. Run outside, and change. Wait for me, then follow me," Matt said into my ear, waking me from a deep slumber.

"What? Wait. Why?" I asked groggily.

"Like I said, no time to explain. Go!" Matt said in a rushed tone.

I jumped up from my bed and rushed outside, immediately thinking of the burning sensation that hit me when I first Turned. I saw the world shrinking. Or maybe I was growing taller. What am I thinking, of course I'm growing taller.

I saw Matt run out of our two story house and quickly change into his dragon. Quickly, I thought "Wings" and beautiful rose gold and white silver wings sprouted from my back like a fan from China.

"Oh, quit admiring yourself, we have to go, quick!" Matt said in my head.

Matt and I quickly took off from the ground, lifting into the air gracefully.

"Don't look back," Matt said to me.

Instead of listening to Matt I looked back just for a second. Behind us were black silhouettes, they almost looked like dragons.

"What are those things Matt?" I asked in a worried voice.

"I told you not to look back!" Matt growled angrily in my head.

" Sorry, you should know to not tell me to not do something," I said with guilt in my voice.

" Huff, it's fine. They're called Shadows. They're dragons who went evil. They want to kidnap you, we have to get away as fast as possible." Matt explained to me.

"But why do they want to kidnap me? I'm not anyone special, am I?" I questioned Matt.

After all how could I be special? Dragons don't have Queens or princesses do they? And, even if they did, I wouldn't be one, I hardly act even slightly royal, much less have royal blood.

"Your a princess, a dragon princess. Your parents were the King and Queen. Soon we are to crowned King and Queen. The Shadows want to take you as a bargaining chip. They have a grudge against your mother and father. The King and Queen have decided to pass the kingdom on to you. The only thing is, the Shadows don't want you to have the crown. The Shadows want their Queen to have the crown. They think that your mother and father the King and Queen will give the crown to them in trade for you. It's all very complicated, this is as much as I can explain right now." Matt said in a big rush.

"Wait, wait, wait, I am a dragon princess. How come I never knew this? Well, I guess its kind of like never knowing about the dragon thing, isn't it." I mentally sighed.

We spent most of the rest of the ride in silence. I still didn't know where we were going, I was just following Matt.

Finally we stopped. Matt had found a cave surprisingly big enough for two dragons. Matt said that the way to my secret hiding spot was in this cave. We went to the back where it looks like big boulder had fallen down into a tunnel. Matt touched the side of the tunnel wall and a lever popped out from nowhere. He grabbed the lever with his giant paw and pulled it down. The boulder that was blocking our way move to the side, almost as if by magic.

Matt and I hurried down the now open tunnel. The tunnel got smaller and smaller. Soon enough it was hard to fit into. Just as it felt like it was going to get too small, the tunnel widened into a wide, open cavern.

"Are we safe now?" I asked Matt.

"Yeah you can turn now, it's safe," Matt assured me.

I imagined myself folding my dragon into my petite 5 foot 4 inch human body.

"Ugh, still not used to my form. So sore." I complained.

"Hush, the Shadows still might be following us. We can't talk to loud." Matt said in a hushed tone.

"Too late," both Matt and I heard in our heads.

We looked up at the entrance and there one of the Shadows stood, with a menacing look on his face.

"Hello princess," the Shadow said in an evil voice.

"You're coming with us."

Hello my Oreos. I know, it has been so long since I've updated everything. I really missed you guys. But here's a new chapter for you guys. I finally got to the problem, yay.
