Hopian 156 Part 2 - Criminal Scheming

Last part, Karia informed Seric about the rest of the crews attack on a Hopian Army training base. This led to her once again asking Seric if he'd be ready to leave the others after they get to Dalkan. Seric firmly stated that he wouldn't be willing to leave Metallic, but was conflicted on Elio and Amandeath, with his answer depending on how they felt about their attack today. Karia was fine with these responses, and so the duo went to make breakfast together- with the entire group starting to plan together shortly after the fact.

Seric's P.O.V.

I start to voice my concerns for our plans, "Two things- one's more of a risk that we can't fix though. First off- that William guy could send the army on us any second it seems, even before we get to Fixed Reality. He said he wouldn't interfere with our plans but, well he has to send the army at us SOMETIME before we leave right? If he waited until we got to Dalkan, it would be too late for the army to attack us. So... yeah. That's one concern." I say, stopping to talk as I wait for someone elses input.

Karia talks first, "That's kind of obvious, but still a good point... a safe bet could be that he'd send the army on us right when we're about to leave then. Like, right when we're about to win the tickets- or right when we're about to go through the portals. Seems like that would be the least amount of interference the guy could possibly afford." After some thinking I nod at that.

"I'm obliged to agree, not bad Karia. Next concern, Seric?" Quilline adds with a small grin, and I continue.

"Ok... so first off, are we assuming that William will send Prósopsi after us too? Are we assuming that we'll HAVE to kill all the Commanders and Prósopsi to make it out of here? Or do you guys think we'll be able to just run through the portal after stalling them out for a bit?" I hesitantly ask to ease into my main concern.

"I'll be very angry if not. If you all try to run away from the Army without fighting, our alliance will have to end- I might even try to kill you all just for some last minute fun before I die." Quilline complains with a stern face.

Metallic interjects in a somber tone, "You didn't answer his question, Quilline. Yes Seric, I believe it would be safe to assume he'll send that irritating Head Commander after us as well- considering his Commanders cannot stop my Emperor form. If we do somehow have the chance to retreat to Dalkan without fighting however, I would certainly like to take it."

"Agreed." Amandeath adds in, and the rest of us nod- me included.

Quilline fake gasps, "Cowards! Little babies. Ah well, suit yourself- if you really want to potentially become my enemies later on, so be it. I'll trust in William to force a fight with us and the Army anyways, so hopefully that won't be an issue. He did seem like quite the powerful man. Didn't he prove that to you by saying whatever he whispered into your ear, Seric?" Quilline adds, and I slowly nod as his words come back to my mind...

I change the subject, "OK. So. Let's assume we'll have to fight Prósopsi then, since it's probably the likely option. The only way we'd ever stand a chance against him, that I know of at least- is through Metallic using the Emperor. But the only thing is... didn't you say you'd probably die if you used that form again, Metallic? Obviously we don't want that." I finish with a sigh as I look towards him, and he stares down at the carpet in contemplation I think.

"Correct. I'd like to avoid using the Emperor at almost all costs." He says firmly as he crosses his arms- and Quilline scoffs,

"What? You're kidding, right? No offense o' mighty King, but you're telling me that you expect us to take down the man who can incinerate kilometer wide meteors in seconds, who's hundreds of times more durable than steel, who can send lightning down on anyone from above, who can supposedly fly now, and much more- WITHOUT your Emperor form? I don't believe we have any chance of stopping him without it. I suppose Seric's blade could cut through him, and I could teleport the boy around Prósopsi to try and get some slices in- but no doubt Prósopsi will stay in the air to solve that issue easy-peasy." Quilline says with a confused look on her face.

"Not even biased here when I say that- yeah Quilline has a point." Karia adds with a shrug.

"Oh of course you agree with her the ONE time her argument revolves around my demise. Your vote here means nothing Karia, it is ENTIRELY biased!" Metallic spits.

Amandeath interrupts before Karia can reply, "Bio weapons. Couldn't that be an option to kill him? Like, poison gas that we would spray all around him... like you used in our attack today Quilline?" Amandeath says hesitantly which makes me cringe. I glance at Karia and she expectedly looks mad- at least she isn't making a scene though.

Amandeath continues, "Prósopsi may be durable on the outside, but on the inside well- don't think that shit's been tested. Has it?" All of us look towards her as she finishes her point, huh- just noticed her eyes look more red than normal. Hard to tell if it's from her drugs, or maybe from crying before... hope the second one, since that'd mean she really does feel bad about what she did today. Anyways, after some silence Quilline responds to Amandeath,

"A fair option but, again what would stop him from just flying away from the gas? Even if we wore gas masks and just hid in the death-zone, he could still just soar way up high and incinerate us to a crisp with a flame blast from above. If we ARE doing the poison plan, we'd need the poison to be VERY fast acting. Or we'd need him to ingest some poison pill or something- but even thinking about trying to cram some tiny pill into his mouth is absurd." Quilline says with a sigh as she rests her face in her palms.

Amandeath speaks, "Ok, so we try and buy or steal a super fast acting poison from some sketchy people Quilline may know- and gas masks too. Some more things to add to our shopping list. On the other hand, I reeeeally hope this WON'T happen but... if the plan fails, and we're all about to get fucked- you WILL use your Emperor form to save us. Right, Metallic?" She finishes hesitantly as we all look towards the damaged bot.

"...If the insurmountable danger involves you or Seric Amandeath, then yes I will use it. If the danger solely involves the other three however- certainly not." Metallic says firmly which makes Quilline start to fake cry,

"Y-you don't love the rest of us? How cold! Anyways- ok good, any danger we face will probably involve all of us at once so, pretty sure Seric and Amandeath will need to be saved if things go wrong regardless. So! We have Prósopsi handled I suppose- next, the Commanders. Elio! You'll be going robo-on-robo with Ufisator and shutting him down with your Blessing, I can't really touch him so we'll be counting on you for that pretty please. And as for Ontarus and Aora- Ontarus is really the only threat but, I do have a plan to take both of them out at once regardless..." Quilline says with a sly grin which seems to surprise everyone- me too for a second, until I remember what we talked about before in the beach simulation.

"It'll involve me, Seric, and Karia. I will admit I'm not 100% sure if it'll work on Ontarus but- will definitely send Aora to hell at the very least. I'll write it out for you all later, would rather not say it out loud just in case that Mind Reader is listening in- and she and her husband decide to betray us and give our plans to the army. This plan of mine is quite vital after all." Quilline says... fair enough I guess, even if I wouldn't be surprised if William and his wife had cameras on us regardless.

No one responds and so Quilline continues, "Aside from that, if there somehow are any stragglers after our initial attack- like Ontarus? I'll be teleporting all of you around to keep everyone away from his water-slicing attacks, and we can use the handy communication devices I bought to coordinate attacks mid-fight. Keeping him down on the ground would be ideal, I suppose fighting indoors could help with that since he would have less water to carry him up I'd imagine..." Quilline contemplates with her index finger on her chin.

"I feel gross for working with you but, would your Blessing work on dead bodies? Or soulless bodies?" Karia asks as she leans against the wall of the hall next to us.

"Oh yes, it certainly does work on corpses- I think I know what you're thinking. You'll be one of our main attackers no doubt. I honestly have no plans for how to deal with the Magic Girl though, if she will be fighting us too. I suppose we can get some extra poison for her? Bombs maybe? Rocket launchers?" Quilline seems to be asking us for any ideas with a raised eyebrow, but no one else has any suggestions it looks like...

Oh- I actually decide to chip in after realizing something, "Don't know how we can beat her but, it does seem like that William guy cares a LOT about her. And it seems like he gives her most of her orders as well. I'm not trying to tempt William in case he's listening in on us but, I'm kind of doubting he would risk her life in a battle this deadly. She said it herself, she wouldn't be able to take on Metallic's Emperor form." My point seems to make everyone pause and think.

"Logical point. OK- I guess we can maybe assume that, but still I think we should get some extra weapons just in case. Aside from combat though, shame on you all! No one mentioned the biggest concern about getting into that Casino, our faces are all over the news! Especially now- Fixed Reality will no doubt be ID checking anyone who tries to enter, whether they have tickets or not. We need two things- one of which I can supply. Disguises, and not just different clothes- I mean COMPLETELY different appearances. I can probably supply that. The only other issue is, we need to either get fake ID's to match our fake personas- or we need to sneak past security all together." Quilline says, and I think of an easy solution but Elio talks before I can-

"Could you not just teleport us past the checkpoints? If it's crowded and dark where the security check is, no one would probably even notice. But I guess that'd leave you stranded though... I mean, I could use my Blessing to maybe pull something off to give you a chance to run through. Maybe." Elio says what I was about to say... hm.

Quilline snaps, "Ah! Got it. I have an idea- Karia can help get me past security with one of her handy abilities. Assuming you'd be willing to help me when the time comes, doll? Nothing immoral, well besides sneaking in of course- but no killing or torture, or any kind of suffering will be involved I mean." Quilline asks as she turns to Karia, and Karia takes a second, sighs, then nods.

"Great, we'll chat later about the specifics. Next concern! Ideally we want to try to win the ticket to Dalkan without any suspicion I'm imagining. Elio- you printed out some of the details on the kinds of challenges we'll have to win to get the ticket legally, right? When you and Metallic went back to that doctor's house?" Quilline asks Elio, and the pure white robot with a soul answers back,

"Yeah. Think we might be able to cheat through some of them by using my Blessing actually. If some of the games work how I think they will at least. You'll see what I mean when I tell you guys about the different challenges, but I left the papers in Seric's boat. Can I go inside to grab them Karia, or are you still pissed at me?" Elio asks in a bit of an annoyed tone,

"Go for it." I say before she can reply, because A- like she said before I alone technically get to pick and choose who goes in my boat. And B- she probably would've gotten mad at his sass there.

As Elio gets up I think to myself, "I really hope this works... we don't have any other options besides just getting more weapons, as risky as this sounds. I... I guess as a worst case scenario, William will probably save me at least if things go wrong. After all he said he wants me to survive. That's something. Yeah..." I try to encourage myself as I stare down at the floor and twiddle my thumbs... it only helps a little bit though, just imagining the scene of Metallic and Karia being gruesomely killed- then sent to hell makes me feel so empty.

My fingers start to drip blue flames. I wish I could come up with a smart plan like I used to but, our enemies are SO much smarter and bigger than I am now. There really is no weaseling out of danger anymore.
