A/N: You thought it was going to be a break chapter, but it was I, Chapter 29!

Lol on a more serious note, to celebrate all your guys enthusiasm for the story recently and to celebrate getting to 4000 reads, I just couldn't leave the story on a cliffhanger.

But however, next week is 100% going to be a break chapter instead. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy!

Last chapter, Seric and Karia continued their flaming battle against Adesia, in which even though both Seric and Karia got some major hits on Adesia, her ability, "Relight My Vitality" allowed her to stay in the fight by healing over and over. Now, after using many of her abilities, Karia is tired out and asks Seric to fight in her place, which he reluctantly agreed to do now that he has more confidence after already exchanging hits with Adesia.

Seric's P.O.V.

"Why did I agree to this..." I think to myself nervously as I stand still and take a classic fighting stance, being with my legs slightly bent and my arms stretched out in front of my face.

"Oh? You're challenging me, Seric? How bold of you.~" Adesia says calmly, probably due to the fact that she's facing a "kid" she already knows how to beat.

I get distracted by Adesia's kind tone for a moment, but I regain my composure, "No, she's just trying to trick me again! I have to close the gap between us, or else she'll just be able to splat blood on me from a long range again!" I think to myself, but my body doesn't seem to want to do that though, as I'm shaking in place.

"Damn it come on! If shit hits the fan I can just run out of the arena, and plus I can regenerate!" I think to try and boost my confidence, but it's to no avail, and I'm still unmoving.

"My, my, I guess you've realized just who you're dealing with now. Poor little thing.~" Adesia says, and I can't tell if she's being thoughtful or degrading.

"How am I supposed to do this on my own?! Come on, Karia, Popshot, anyone, force me to do this!" I think to myself in a panicked state.

"Come on, if you go off the stage now it'll be painless." Adesia says as she puts her hand on my shoulder.

"AGH!" On instinct I back away, which startles Adesia and causes her to swing her arm and splat blood on my chest.

"Fine then, be difficult boy. Com-" Adesia is about to say, but before she can I charge into her chest, pushing her to the ground and causing her to lose her breath.

"Combu-MHM!" Before she can say anything else I put my hand over her mouth.

"I've got to finish her now!" I think to myself as my fist is above her startled face, but I can't move.

"...Why can't I hit her?!" I think to myself nervously as my fist shakes above her weakened form.

I feel her mouth grin on my hand, and at that moment she regains her composure, reaching over me and slashing my back.

"AH-" I curse to myself and crawl off of her, allowing Adesia to stand back up.

"You're too kind," She says with a smirk, "I'll admit that was quite the move, but Combus-"

"Spirit of Kodan: Compress!" I hear Karia yell from the sidelines, and two red giant ghost hands appear from the sides of Adesia, trapping her in between them.

"Come on Seric, she was just roasting you alive for God's sake! Kick her ass!" I hear from outside of the arena, suprisingly the voice coming from Popshot.

Taking a glance at Popshot, I look at Karia and give her a nod to thank her, then back to Adesia who's still stunned after Karia's attack.

I then run at Adesia in a zig-zag pattern, luckily not having to worry about the flames in the center of the arena due to Karia's wind attack from before.

"You... How dare you interfere!" Adesia shouts as she runs at me with a sloppy slashing motion, but from me experiencing it before I'm able to dodge it, pushing her arm to the side of her and being able to throw a hit at her face after Popshot's words, luckily her being only a bit taller than me.

This isn't enough to stun her though, and a few seconds later she raises her dropped head, getting a deep slash into my chest up to my face.

Tears start to well up in my eyes again, but I manage to weakly back up, still standing due to being more used to the pain.

"Come on, the pain will go away soon!" I think to motivate myself, as me and Adesia continue to stare at each other, both of us panting heavily.

"*Ha ha* Com... *ha ha*" Adesia starts to say, but with most of the pain from my chest being gone I start to walk slowly towards her.

The pain is fully gone now, so I finish running towards Adesia, throwing a jab into her chest which causes her to step back, hopefully finishing the fight right here.

"I *ha ha* commend you. Before you were nothing but a coward who couldn't fight, but now *ha ha* you're brave and strong enough to get some hits on me, even in this state. For that reason, I'll *ha ha* finish you brilliantly." Adesia says, still not falling down. The fact that King Metallica hasn't said anything must mean her life isn't in any danger though.

"Glorify My Vitality." Adesia says, as suddenly all of the remaining flame surrounding the center of the arena starts being sucked towards her.

"Tch!" I curse to myself as I start to run at Adesia in order to stop her new power, and with her concentrating on powering up, I land another punch at her chest, which makes her gasp for air, and causes her to step back and fall into the surrounding flames.

I'm expecting her to start screaming in pain, but to my surprise the flames that start covering her body turn crimson red, with none of them burning her.

I look back at Karia, "Good luck." She says with a grin as she sits cross-legged on the edge of the center of the arena, the flames being sucked towards Adesia around her.

"...Shit..." I think to myself as I turn towards Adesia.

"Now then, it's about time I remind my crew why I'm captain." Adesia says as she starts to stand up, her body and red clothes now being completely covered in a coat of roaring crimson flame. She also seems to have regenerated almost all of her injuries.

"What could this gracious, flashy, colorful, hot, aesthetically pleasing transformation possibly be?!" King Metallica yells out with his hands on his face, and the rest of the crew seems almost as interested as him, with everyone quieting down.

My eyes turn back to Adesia, and suprisingly she didn't try to ambush me like last time.

Adesia has a stern look on her face, and she starts to walk towards me.

I gulp, but prepare myself in a fighting position nonetheless.

"What the hell am I supposed to do?! I don't have any powers to attack her with from long range, so that means I'll have to burn myself by punching the flame coat! Unless, maybe it doesn't burn anyone and it does something else?! No, then that would be-" I think to myself, but I'm interrupted as Adesia is now standing in front of me.

"Shit, I've gotta do a counter attack!" I think to myself as I try to make some more distance between us, but she whips her arm through the air at an astounding speed near my chest.

"Good, she basically missed." I think to myself, "Now-"

"Combust." She says.

"AGHHHHHHAHA FUCCKKKKKK!" I yell out in excruciating pain, as a second later the area where I thought Adesia missed is instantly roasted to a crisp.

*SWISH*
Adesia whips her arm through the air again, this time slashing my chest diagonally.

"Combust." She says calmly once again.

"AGGHAHAHAFUCKING-" I yell out in pain, as a second later that area of my chest is incinerated.

"Now now, calm down my friends! We already know that Seric is invincible, so why would I stop the fight?" King Metallica says as the crowd is giving him dirty stares.

"Shit, she's- she's so fast!" I manage to think to myself as Adesia spares me for now.

"Hmph, you can blame Karia for this one." Adesia says, as suddenly she whips both of her arms, slashing my chest with both of them at once.

"The move was "double cross", was it not? Combust." Adesia says, as a second later the areas where she cut are both roasted to a crisp.

"FUU-" Before I can finish, I feel someone yank me backwards, causing me to fall near the edge of the open arena, luckily with no more flames being on the floor due to Adesia absorbing all of the flames for her cloak.

"Tag out." Karia says as she's now standing in front of Adesia.

I can't respond to her as I'm still in horrible pain right now.

"I highly recommend you give up. Seric can regenerate, while you can't." Adesia says, looking suprised by Karia's bold move.

"She's right Karia! Let's just give up, it's not worth it!" I say with shallow breaths, terrified of Adesia's power.

"And there goes your balls again. If you couldn't tell, before she went into this transformation or whatever Adesia was getting bodied by us. Well, mainly me but anyways-"

"Yeah, and that means she may be as strong as you now! If she cuts you with her claws you're done for!" I say, scared for Karia's sake.

"Enough bickering, I'll finish this in one blow." Adesia says in a serious tone, as she walks towards Karia.

"Spirit of Kodan: Strike!" Karia punches in the air, throwing a giant red fist at Adesia.

Once again she's able to bend so far back that the punch skims over her.

But before she can lean back up, Karia runs at Adesia, grabbing her lowered face and slamming her head into the ground.

"Damn she's good, I bet she actually planned this out for once!" I think to myself in admiration.

"Spirit of Bersia: Electron Passover!" Karia shouts as she sits over Adesia, both of her legs pinning her arms down and Karia's hand still covering Adesia's face.

Unsurprisingly Adesia starts to shake violently, and it seems like this is the end.

...And she continues to shake. "What the, is she even taking any damage?" I think to myself as I don't see any new injuries forming on Adesia.

Karia takes her hand off of Adesia's face, checking to see if anything happened. She finds no injuries at all like I suspected.

"My, my, suprised?" Adesia says with a confident smirk as she headbutts Karia's forehead, causing her to lose her grip on one of Adesia's arms.

Karia looks suprised as she jumps off of her to avoid getting cut.

"I would tell you the secret to this transformation, but I'm not that kind. After all, I am a pirate." Adesia says with a small smile as she quickly stands up.

"There's no way she's just invincible, there has to be a catch..." I think to myself as I analyze Adesia's body from head to toe.

Snapping out of my gaze I notice something, "That's weird, weren't her "Glorify My Vitality" flames bigger before?" I think to myself calmly, mainly due to having Karia right in front of me.

"Ah, that's it!"

"Karia, look at the flames surrounding Adesia! They're a lot smaller now!" I exclaim proudly.

"What? Actually, now that you mention it..." Karia says with her hand on her chin.

Adesia looks annoyed, and without hesitation jumps at Karia, whipping her arm through the air and aiming at her face.

"Spirit of Bersia: Hide of Aegis!" Karia exclaims as she quickly swings a ghostly purple cloak in front of her, cutting Adesia off and making her stumble backwards.

"Oh! Instead of bringing the hide all around her like she normally does, Karia just swung it in front of her like a shield to be faster, damn that's pretty cool." I think to myself in admiration once again.

"Spirit of Kodan: K.O!" Karia shouts as she throws an uppercut in the air, causing a giant red ghost fist to come out of the ground, slamming into Adesia's chin at the perfect distance.

But, even though the fist launches her into the air, right before the fist disappears Adesia somehow pulls herself on top of it, allowing her to spin multiple times mid air, and concluding her act by kicking off of it, launching herself at Karia like a torpedo.

Before I can comprehend what just just happened, Adesia is already standing behind Karia, still having no injuries but once again the flames surrounding her have shrunk substantially.

"So it is true, Adesia's coat made of flames absorbs all and any damage she takes. That means Karia is probably gonna have to work on getting some hard hits in like just now to wear it down." I think to myself.

"Combust."

Karia continues to stand still, until a second later I hear an intense sizzling sound, causing Karia to fall on her knees while she grips her arm.

"Shit, she got her!" I think to myself in a panicked state, wanting to go help her, but there's no way I'm brave enough to go through that again.

At this point, I swear I can hear some muffled moans from Karia.

"See, what did I tell you. All talk. Honestly, people like you are pathetic." Adesia says with a serious face, as she looks down at Karia.

"Come on, there's gotta be something I can do, even if it's from from here! I may not want to, but what kind of friend would I be if I didn't?!" I think to myself.

I start to think of all of the potential possibilities, but none of them seem to be able to work without me getting closer or getting slashed. After all, any hits I throw at her will just be absorbed by her coat made of the crimson flame surrounding her.

You may think I'm being an idiot for not trying to "save" Karia right away, but come on she's a capable fighter for the most part, and it's not like Adesia would break the rules and kill her anyways... Right?

"Hah... I doubt Karia will even consider me a friend after this." I sigh to myself, feeling guilty, all the while not paying any attention to Karia and Adesia.

"Friend..."

"Wait a second. Would that- would that even work?! Oh my it probably will, this is gonna be so great." I start to laugh loudly to myself in high spirits.

Looking up, suprisingly Adesia has backed away a bit from Karia, her face looking interested in something Karia's doing. I don't really care why right now though, all that matters is that Adesia is far away from Karia.

"Hey, My Best Friend!" I try to yell out without being too loud, and just like I thought our semi neon white ship appears out of thin air, landing on the floor of the white arena without too much noise either.

I'm expecting to hear everyone's, or just King Metallica's commentary on my suprising move at least, but instead I'm suprised when there's nothing.

"Alright, Karia's out of the way, and Adesia seems distracted enough!" I think to myself as I get in the right position behind the boat, adjusting it as I need to. If you couldn't tell, this thing is pretty light. Well, for me at least.

"Ok, this probably won't hit but it'll at least distract her! Wait, shit, the crowd!" I think to myself at the last second.

"...They've got plenty of medics, besides King Metallica said they were rooting for me before so I'm sure they won't be mad! Besides it's not like I'm guaranteed to hit them, so here goes nothing!"

I finish adjusting the boat, quickly back up, and start to run straight at it, luckily with Adesia still being distracted by Karia for some reason.

"What did you say to me?" Karia says in a grim tone as she starts to stand up, and I'm just about to proceed with the plan.

"Haha, you heard what I said. I'll have to admit though, I'm quite shocked by this vibe your giving off." Adesia says with a smirk on her face, not noticing that I'm about to attack her in the slightest and no one else either it seems.

"Now!" I think to myself as I kick the back of my semi neon white boat, launching it in Adesia's direction.

Adesia then says "Perhaps I hit a-", until she's interrupted, as my boat crashes into her unsuspecting side, pinning her all the way out of the arena, through an empty area of the crowd, and through a wooden building. From that point on it's too dark to see her but I can still hear crashing in the distance.

"Wait... What?" I think to myself in complete confusion.

"What?! As everyone was focused on Karia, we all failed to realize that the MVP, #1, unbeatable, sneaky Seric was planning an insane attack all along! And with that, the winners of the match, the grand tournament are... Seric and Karia?!" King Metallica yells with extreme enthusiasm, even someone like him sounding confused.

The crowd is silent at first, probably trying to comprehend what just happened, until everyone roars in cheers, starting to flood into the arena towards us.

"It... Hit? I actually beat her?! Holy shit, that was insane!" I say to myself, as suddenly I'm lifted up by the crowd and thrown into the air, with everyone yelling "Hip Hip Hooray!"

"Hahaha, this is crazy!" I yell happily as I'm continuously thrown high up into the air, and afterwards being carried by the crowd towards our fancy clothed table from before.

"I knew you guys could do it." I hear someone say from next to me, and of course it's Popshot waiting to give me a fist bump, which I of course return back to my mentor.

A/N: It turns out that the experienced Karia wasn't the one to take down  Adesia's seemingly overpowered transformation, but it was the newbie Seric instead with his boat?!
