Last chapter, Restroid failed to keep King Metallica locked in a bunker during Ontarus' flooding, which led to both Restroid and King Metallica running off to help save the base. Kodan on the otherhand waited to get attachments installed to his armor, then went off to try to stop Ontarus as well.

Now, Kodan seems to have found an opening, as Ontarus is using his blade, Bahari, to control a tunnel of water that's carrying him through the air...

Commander Ontarus' P.O.V.

"Come on you fucking clown pick up the damn phone!" I think to myself while taking shallow ass breaths, in the small pocket of air I have in the tunnel of water I'm "flying" in. 'Called Prósopsi TWICE now and he hasn't answered me once, now I'm on the third call as I'm holding the soaked phone up to my ear with one hand.

I glance around to make sure no surprises are coming my way since my defenses are a little low here, and I gasp as I can see Kodan in the air above me- no, the damn guy's flying down towards me feet first!

I flick my sword to the right which makes the water I'm in spit me out in that same direction, which lets me dodge him for the most part. I hold back a scream though as he still just barely manages to smash his armored foot down into my own foot, which crushes it- while the cocky bastard himself lands on the flooded ground like it's nothing.

As I fall, through my tear- no water filled eyes I swing my sword up into the air, which makes a big blob o' water form beneath me to catch my own fall. Still hurts like a bitch having the salt water slip into my foot though, either way I make sure to shove my phone into my pocket to protect it.

"This guy can FLY? Fuck-" I think to myself as Kodan launches himself at me with one of his armored hands covering his mouth, he's WAY too fast. On instinct I flick my sword to the left real quick, which causes a torrent of water to suck me up and drag me to the left to dodge him. Bullets fire off around me, but my sword summons a bunch of blades of water to slice em' for me- as expected due to my whole foot situation.

"Gotta be careful, Bahari's getting pissed again." I think to myself as the water that pushed me suddenly spits me out backwards, but right before my feet hit the ground I flick my sword down and to the right, causin' a current to form around my feet- or foot, to help me stand and stay balanced. Looks like Bahari filled in the blanks for what I need again, 'why I love the damn thing.

Shots continue to fire at me, not a problem. Kodan on the other hand is flying towards me again- nah actually, not flying. It's like he's sliding along the ground or some shit. Either way I fling my sword forward to hopefully get some water splashing through the Hesalo he's wearing- no luck, so I swing my sword up to cause a geyser of water to send me way up high into the air.

"Damn, so the only way I'm getting through to his real body is if I get water through his mouth holes. ...Quit looking at me." I think to myself with a tiny gulp as I look down to see Kodan just staring up at me from way down below. Doesn't even look human in that armor, more like a killer robot. He looks away a second later, and talks to some other guy who's next to him.

I frown as I look away from him for one second, to see the entire massive flooded city beneath me. With my enhanced eyes, I'm pretty sure I can see those kids I talked to earlier floating in the water face down.

"Right." I think to myself as I whip out my phone from my pocket, and hold it up to my ear-

"HELLO- ONTARUS? Damn, well if you can hear me we're tracking your location right now." I hear Prósopsi say, thank God-

"I'm here! Took you long enough fucke- ahem. I'll make it short- found out the Red Fists were planning to start their revolution in less than a few minutes, we found some documents about the group- all of em' look true. They've apparently got a weapon that can kill you, so I snuck inside the base- they've got a LOT of firepower, it's like an entire city. I got found out though, and I'm trying to survive against the entire base fighting my ass right now."

"What?! Are you- why- no, your code first. This could be someone with a voice changer, since you called me from a personal cellphone." Prósopsi says which pisses me off, and oh great timing, a fuckton of rockets get fired my way at the same time from below. Bahari slices a bunch of them out of the air by extending water blades from the water geyser I'm on, but a good chunk of them are still coming my way.

"Hold on." I say as I raise my blade for a sec, then put it back down.

"Too late to cut em', the explosions may still get me." I think to myself and take a deep breath, and fall back off the pillar of water I was just on. Would be fun freefalling like this if I wasn't about to get blasted, but anyways just before I slam into the ground I flick Bahari up-

I gasp as instead of a regular blob of water forming beneath me, Bahari forms a kind of literal water slide with wild currents that I get yanked into. Makes for a real smooth fall though so it works, and right so when I slip off the slide- I swing my sword down again make a current to balance my feet- or foot again as I stand up.

"My damn password is x69x96x now can you help me?!" I shout as more guns continue to fire around me, Bahari takes care of that easily though.

"...I was hoping this was fake. We can't track you based on your cybernetics, since a ton of the Hopian Army's connections are apparently down. So I've got some guys tracking down the location of your phone, that could apparently take a few minutes though- and then for me to get there, maybe another few minutes. Point is-"

"Well fuck, I'm running then- was assuming you'd be able to come here ASAP." I reply with a scoff as I slide myself through the water around me a bit to make sure Kodan can't ambush me.

"Wait! You can't just leave now, especially if they were originally planning their attack in a few minutes. Stall them out, you said you'd be able to handle Kodan if you ambushed him right?" Prósopsi asks as a lunatic runs at me with a damn knife through the kneelength water, and I flick my sword forward to make a blade of water slice his chest.

"I mean- it's Kodan plus his entire army, and I've got no clue what kinda weapon they have in store to kill you. You really wanna risk me dyin' to stall for another minute or two maybe? Plus I'm starting to feel a little shitty having Bahari kill so many kids..." I say as I keep on moving Bahari around to glide my lower half through the water, as three rocket launcher shots soar towards me- Bahari slices them up just in time though.

"There's kids there? ..I'm so sorry. But listen. I'll explain later, but- someone credible warned me about something extremely important about a month ago. Something horrible that we need to stop at all costs, and as of now, I'm the only one with the political power and knowledge to do it. And if the Red Fists do kill me- the entire world will... just please keep fighting Ontarus. Plus, the Hopian Army can't afford to get taken down, with monsters like that Quilline girl out there and-"

"Alright alright I'll stay, if you're bullshitting me though I swear I'm quitting." I respond as three more screaming people run at me with knives- I summon a water blade to finish em' quick though.

"The hell are they doing, trying to distract me?" I think to myself as I glance around, no sign of Kodan- he could be behind one the few metal buildings that are still standing. Maybe they're trying to cover for him?

"Thank you. You have no idea how much of a hero you are right now. Be careful in case they have any hostages-"

"They're already dead, saw it in the file we found- ow!" I cry out as a damn bullet hits my lower chest and almost makes me stumble over- Bahari's water catches me before I fall though. At the same time more people start running towards me with guns this time, and I make quick work of them before they fire.

I can feel something heavy moving through the water behind me though, shit!

"Mouth." I panic for a sec, then think to myself as I spin around to face Kodan who's flying towards me with his fist out towards my face. So I flick Bahari forward to splash water into his helmet through it's exposed mouth-hole, then flick my blade back to glide my ass away from the punch. The water starts slicing up his face from the inside of his mask an-

"Get me out!" The dead-man yells- or gurgles as he swings his other arm out from behind his back, and opens his fist to throw something at me at point blank rang-

*BOOM!*

...

"Ugh... agggggghhhh..." I make the only noise my body can as I lie face first in... in... right, water...

I start to get moved around a bit, I think my face is out of the water... I open my eyes... and look down... my body... fuck...

"Oh Gods, this is it." I think to myself as I try- but still can't breathe... pretty sure I can see an organ floating in the water actually.

"Huh?" I manage to think to myself again, something's... noisy...

Kodan's P.O.V.

"Damn it- watch out!" I shout as I struggle to stand as insane currents start to suck all of the flood-water in our base towards Ontarus. Even holding onto a secure lamp post next to me, I'm still struggling to stand still without my gravity manipulation and armor.

"How did that not kill him?! Fuck!" I think to myself as I take deep breaths to try and calm down, so I can use my powers again to get out of here. It's hard to though as I can't help but notice a giant tornado of water is forming around Ontarus now. A bunch of debris and bodies are getting dragged into it as well through the currents...

Our plan was almost perfect- the "fodder", horrible as it is to say, sacrificed themselves to confuse Ontarus properly. And the teleport command out of my suit that I never thought I'd use again, saved me from the most of Ontarus' attack after I got in close and threw the grenades...

"No time to groan, I need to finish him off now." I think to myself as the last bits of water get dragged into the massive tornado- no, the damn hurricane of water surrounding Ontarus' body.

With the currents gone though I take a second to wipe the blood off of my face, but just before I start moving- I feel something touch my shoulder. Without my armor I swing around and punch it- but cringe in pain as my fist cracks against silver metal.

"PAL!! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!" King shouts as he's standing in front of me now in his drenched robe, along with Restroid who he's carrying on his back. I can barely hear him though- didn't pay attention to it till now but, there's been some earpiercing screaming going on for a bit now all across the base.

"YEAH! I'M GONNA FINISH ONTARUS OFF NOW! WAIT- YOU CAN HELP ME, USE YOUR CATAPULT SPHERE TO SEND ME INTO THE WATER!" I shout over all of the noise, King looks scared shitless right now- poor guy... I can't even comfort him now.

He gets closer to me and says quieter, "Now is the time for me to use the Emperor! I've seen hundreds of our poor deceased Red Fist's solely on the way to you already, and I can't help but feel like things are about to take an even darker turn. Please, please let me use it!" Metallica begs as he lets Restroid down off of his shoulders and starts to take off his robe to show his bare chest. Restroid is just staring at me though...

"No way, right?" I think to myself as a pit fills my stomach. "It doesn't matter now, I'll ask him later." I take a breath and then respond to King's crazy idea,

"No- King, no! Almost all of our main teleporters to the outside are broken because of the flood, so we wouldn't be able to bring you to Prósopsi in time. And no way am I risking you dying if we use the Emperor two more times. Launch me."

"Pal, PLEASE I'm begging ya, you don't understand- I have a sense for these thing-"

"WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS, I SAID LAUNCH ME!" I scream into his face as I stand as tall as I can, which makes him look like he's about to cry.

"...O-ok. I'll trust you, but Kodan, please calm down. What about your armor?" He says which makes my heart sink- idiot, without my armor I would get ripped to shreds. I glance around our now almost empty base, then after seeing where the armor is in the distance... shit no that's some other random metal.

I can't give up though- so I try to use my gravity manipulation to soar across the ground to cover more distance.

I start to panic as I still can't see the armor, I took it off near a building which could be blocking off my view... praying to our Gods that I can stumble across it. King is running with me as well.

"This is pointless- shit! Maybe we should use the Emperor, but damn it it would be such a waste..." I think to myself with a gulp.

"Hey- wait what the hell are you doing?! Hey!" I shout as Metallica picks me up out of nowhere and lays me down across his shoulder. I try to break free as he starts to run somewhere with me, but his hand is pushing my back down- damn it my gravity manipulation still isn't working either, I'm not calm enough!

I glance up to see King pick up Restroid who was apparently not too far behind us, then bolt for one of the last remaining metal buildings that isn't too far away.

As we get closer I realize- it's the door to one of our smaller bunkers.

"King Metallica, it'll be locked- put me down already, I'll let you use the Emperor ok, just stop!" I try to bargain with him as we reach the door. But instead of stopping, he just runs into it with both of his arms out and dents it, which almost makes me fall off of his shoulder.

King doesn't give up though and props one of his feet up against the door, and starts trying to rip the lock off of the door like a maniac, after letting go of Restroid's back and letting him fall to the floor.

*CLING!*

He actually manages to break it though, and instantly yanks the door open and runs inside while still carrying both of us. He finally lets go of me as he slams the door shut, and keeps on holding it shut, locking us out from the rest of the base.

Suddenly I start to hear another massive sound, it's gotta be the water this time- it sounds like rain from hell. A second later the sounds get far worse.

I try to duck for some reason, but before I can, King grabs both me and Restroid again. This time he lays down on the floor on top of us though. I can see why, as a few seconds later, water starts to tear through the solid metal bunker all around us- with my body getting sliced a fuckton even with Metallica covering us.

"Please be ok, please be ok..." Is all I think to myself as I look up at King's face- his eyes are closed tight and his mouth is wide open, is he screaming or crying? I flinch as the walls of the bunker get ripped or sliced out of the ground, taking the roof along with it as even more water assaults us.

...

...

Finally, things start to quiet down again. King jumps off of me oddly quickly, but falls back to the ground as soon as he takes a few steps away from us.

"You ok?" I nervously ask as I look at his back that's torn to shreds- I can even see some of his inner parts. Water in there can't be any good...

Before he can respond, I glance around to see absolutely nothing around in our "base" for miles. All there is is the green hesalo floor beneath us, a few people who somehow survived the attack, and the thousands of tons of debris filled water floating around the outskirts of our base.

I do a double take to make sure my eyes are working fine. They are, and so I can't help but fall down to my knees.

"All for nothing." I think to myself as I shove my face into my hands and start to wail. A decade of progress gone in less than half an hour, thousands dead- and it's all on me.
