"Elsa!" the girl with strawberry blonde hair and bright blue eyes yelled as she enveloped Elsa in a tight hug. Hiccup could only assume that she was Elsa's sister, Anna. "Where were you? Who are they?" Anna asked as she pointed to Jack, Rapunzel, Merida, and him. Kristoff looked to them curiously as well.

Merida waved and smiled shyly. Merida has a shy side? "I'm Merida, Princess a Dunbroch. Well... Yoou refer to i' as Scottland." She elbowed Hiccup in the ribs again after a moment and he grunted in pain. He guessed that was her signal for him to introduce himself.

"Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, heir of Berk." He held out his hand for her to shake it and she did.

"Berk? Where all the dragons live?" Anna questioned.

He had to admit he was a little bit impressed that didn't didn't say anything snarky about his name and that she knew about Berk. Mostly because he didn't think that many other countries knew of the clan's existence. Except Scottland, that was.

"Yeah, I was the first to train one. Toothless, my dragon, is in your stables right now."

She gasped, jumping up and down excitedly, "Can I see it?"

Hiccup chuckled, "Sure, but not right now."

She frowned like a five year old, "Fine."

Rapunzel walked up to Anna and bowed awkwardly, "I'm Rapunzel... I'm not a princess or heir or dragon tamer. I'm not really anyone important." She shrugged.

Anna giggled at her. "Everyone is important, Rapunzel. It's nice to meet you," She smiled gently.

Jack had been floating in midair for most of the time, "And you must be Jack Frost." Anna said, looking up she rolled her eyes.

Jack fell to the floor with a loud thud. He was shocked that the princess knew who he was. Theu all start laughing at him. His eyes widen at Anna as he quickly got to his feet. "Wait, wait, wait. You can see me? You know who I am?" He inquired happily.

"Yes?" She spoke slowly. "You are Jack Frost, right?"

"Yeah that's me!" He hopped and did a backflip. "Finally! More people are starting to believe in me!" They all watched him warily wondering what he was talking about. "I though only Jamie and his friends believed in me. But now..." He trailed off there.

"Uh, Jack?" Hiccup asked.

Jack looked at him, a smile still on his face, "Yeah?"

"Wha ar' ya so 'appy abou'?" Merida continued his question.

Jack stopped smiling, "I'll explain later." He shrugged it off like it was not worth knowing, but they could all tell that it was something important to him.

"Mind telling me where you disappeared to?" Anna nudged Elsa.

"Umm..." Elsa searched the room nervously with her eyes. "Well I... we," She looked at the four, who urged her to continue. "We were taken to the north pole and it's a really long story that I don't have the time to tell right now." Anna gave Elsa an oh-we-have-time look. Elsa seemed to have read her sister's mind, "No, Anna. We have important business to attend to."

"Like what?" Anna raised her voice.

"Trading papers." Kristoff pretended to cough from behind Anna, earning a glare from her.

"But Elsa can do them now that she's here," She complained.

"I can't see how they're sisters," Jack muttered to Hiccup as they were watching Anna and Elsa. Merida was talking with Kristoff about the guards.

Rapunzel interrupted them, "You guys, they're a spitting image of each other." The three examined them again to determine their similarities.

"Anna we're probably only going to be here for a few days. It won't kill you to do my paperwork for me. That's what a princess is supposed to do while the queen is gone." Elsa told Anna calmly. "If you really need a break, then I can do it. But we actually do have some important business to attend to, and it has to do with keeping you safe."

"Keeping me safe? From what? You better not shut those gates again, you promised me you wouldn't." Elsa fidgeted with the hem of her sleeve. "You promised, Elsa!" Anna tried to run away but Kristoff and Hiccup quickly grabbed hers arms.

"Let her explain. There's a reason to this." Hiccup pleaded to Anna.

Elsa walked over to them and they could see the tears streaming down her cheeks. "Trust me, Anna... I don't want to do this. But it's to protect you from someone who wants to kill you in order to get to me. He can give you nightmares that will torture your mind or even kill you. I'm just trying to protect you, and I'm sure that Kristoff agrees," she sniffled.

Everyone glanced at Kristoff. He shifted uncomfortably, "I'm sorry, Anna. Elsa is right. I couldn't live with myself if something happened to you."

"But--"

Kristoff cut Anna off by hugging her tightly in his arms. "Anna this isn't an choice. We're not trying to shut you out from the world forever." He tried to reason with her but Hiccup could see in her eyes that she was too stubborn to listen. "Once this blows over, the gates will be opened up again, and everyone will be able to come and go as they please. But for now... this is what we have to do. We're sorry, Anna." She pulled away from his embrace and collapsed on the floor to cry.

Elsa motioned that the five of them should leave them alone. The last thing Hiccup heard was Anna crying quietly, "All those years of being alone and now I'm going to be locked up again!"

Elsa took the four of them to the rooms where we would be staying. Their rooms were in the same hallway as Elsa's, whose room is at the end of the hall. Merida and Jack had the rooms on the right while Rapunzel and Hiccup had the rooms on the left. They all parted ways and enter their separate rooms to go to bed. It was the middle of the night when they were finally are done talking to the palace guards.

The room Hiccup was staying in had a large bed on the left wall and a large wardrobe and desk on the right. The walls were a light beige color and there was dark wooden trim. The bed has a medium-green comforter and dark green pillows. The head and footboard are made of the same dark colored wood and have intricate designs carved into them.

He collapsed onto the bed and start thinking about Astrid. If Pitch is going after Anna to get to Elsa, will he go after Astrid to get to me? The second this question entered his mind he immediately rejected it. Astrid would be fine. If she ever saw Pitch again, he was as good as dead.

But deep down inside Hiccup still worried about her safety.

I should go check on Toothless...

Before he could will himself to get up, he started drifting off to sleep. But he was soon woken by a knock at the door. Hiccup groaned, got up, drowsily walked over to the the door, and opened it.

Surprised to see Merida standing in front of him, he gaped at her. Is she crying? Her eyes were red and puffy and her cheeks were wet.

She appeared as surprised to see him as he was to see her. "Oh... I'm surry, Hiccup. I though' this was Rapunzel's room." She started to walk away but he couldn't help his curiosity, again.

"Why are you crying? Are you scared?"

She fiercely turned around and punched him in the arm. "I never ge' scared. Don' insul' me!" She whispered.

"Merida, why are you crying?" Hiccup asked her, genuinely concerned.

"It's no' important..." She tried walking away again.

"Merida?" She spun around and looks him in the eyes. Tears fell from her eyes and onto her cheeks. She ran up to me and hugged him. He was startled at first but then wrapped my arms around her.

He had no clue how to deal with this side of Merida. "You can stay with me tonight, Merida." Wait, where did that come from? Astrid will kill me!

She attempted to regain her composure and pulled away from their embrace. "No, I'm fine. Thank yoou though." But Hiccup could see that she was on the verge of tears. She hugs him and he lead her into his room. They both lay on the bed, their arms wrapped around each other. She fell asleep quickly. Yep... Astrid Is going to kill me.

He was still curious as to why Merida was crying in the first place but guesses he'd find out in the morning.

And with that Hiccup fell asleep.

Hello Guardians!

Sorry that this is a little bit shorter again, but I wanted to update before I don't have internet access for a week... That's right, I won't be able to update until the 22nd or 23rd. I'm still in Europe and we're going to a hotel that doesn't have internet :'( So the Merricup vs Hiccstrid vote in the comments is still on until the end of this book. I will put some of both in for you (as I have done some Merricup in this chapter). The total votes so far: Merricup 2 -- Hiccstrid 2. Anyway, it's okay if you didn't like this chapter... it was kind of a filler. But there was some Kristanna... but not exactly the good kind.
