2: An "Accident"
North, Elsa, and Jack left the room. Merida wanted to go hurt Hiccup and his precious dragon but she saw something moving out of the corner of her eye. Turning around, she saw a gigantic globe with thousands, if not millions, of glowing lights. "Oi, Tooth! Wha' is tha'?" She asked the Fairy.
"Hm?" Tooth questioned. Merida pointed to the globe, "Oh! That shows us all of the children that believe in us. Each glowing dot represents a child who believes. This globe is North's so it only shows the children that believe in Santa Claus," She spoke in a high pitched, chirpy voice. To be quite honest, Merida found Tooth a bit annoying. Tooth talked to her fairies while Merida admired the globe.
She heard a thud come from the hallway and everyone in the room turned their heads towards the door.
"What was that?" Rapunzel and Hiccup said at the same time. A question mark appeared above Sandy's head. Tooth, Bunny and Sandy walked towards the door as Hiccup, Rapunzel and Merida followed them.
"If Jack decided to freeze something again..." The Easter Bunny trailed off as they all stepped in to hallway.
They saw Elsa laying on top of Jack with their faces just an inch apart. Behind them was a trail of ice. Neither of the two seemed to notice them as they stared at each other for a few seconds.
"Ahem!" Bunny pretended to cough in order to get their attention. The second they heard him Elsa quickly jumped off Jack and straightened out her dress. Jack quickly stood up as well. Both of their faces turning a bright pink color as they glanced between each other and at the guardians.
"It was an accident--" Jack started but was cut off by Elsa.
It sure didn't look like an accident to Merida.
"I was skating and ran into Jack..." Elsa explained. Merida could tell that Elsa was a queen because she acted like her mum. Always polite and sophisticated and her posture was always perfect.
"He didn't run into ya or try to freeze ya?" Bunny asked with a surprised expression. Elsa shook her head with a confused look on her face. "Well that's a first."
"Very funny, Kangaroo," Jack said. Bunny scowled at him but Jack only smirked, "I only do that stuff to you."
Merida noticed Elsa exhale now that all the attention was away from her. As Bunny and Jack continued to argue, North came walking down the hallway, following the ice trail.
She walked over to him, "North, could ya show us where we'll be stayin'?" She'd gotten unusually tired in that short amount of time.
He looked at me, "Oh, yes." He spoke up to get everyone's attention, "New guardians and Jack, follow me. I show you where you are staying now."
The five followed him as he lead them down another corridor. He stopped when he got to a set of double doors, "You will all be staying here." Merida's eyes widened as he opened the doors to reveal a large, cabin-looking room. There was a fire place with a big red couch and several chairs around it. In the back was a small kitchen and dining room, as well as a spiral staircase leading to a loft area. "Will do fine, no?"
"Thanks, North. It's great," Jack answered as he walks in and sat on the couch. He traced his staff on the ground, making snowflake patterns in frost on the floor. The rest of them thanked North as well and entered the suite. North left without another word.
"This is nothing like my tower..." Rapunzel scanned all around the room. Her eyes lit up like a child's on Christmas morning.
"This is almost exactly like my house," Hiccup shrugged.
"I'm surprised, Haddock. I though' tha' all a Berk's people lived In caves," Merida remarked.
"My Thor, you sound so much like Astrid." Toothless nodded his head as he watched her with wide eyes, then went to lay down in the corner.
"Who's Astrid?" She couldn't help her curiosity.
"My girlfriend... sort of," he replied shortly. Before she could control it, she fell to the floor laughing. How does that wee lad have a girlfriend? They were all staring a her but she didn't care it was just too funny. "Why are you laughing?"
When she could finally stand up and wipe the tears from my face, she answered, "You 'ave a girlfriend? Tha's hilarious!" She started to laugh again and they all continued to stare at her. "Yer not serious..." He raised his eyebrows, "'ar ya?" She asked, her smile disappearing.
"I was, yeah." The other three went upstairs now, no longer interested in Merida's insanity.
"Oh... I would say sorry, bu' ah don' really mean i', so..."
"Yeah, yeah, I get it. You hate me because your people and family have filled your head with stories of our dragons eating your sheep and other animals owned by your country..." Hiccup walked over to scratch Toothless, "They're not true, you know. Most of the dragons in Berk eat fish anyways." He didn't speak for a long time, "I'm still your friend, Merida."
She stared at him. She knew that she could trust him because he promised to be my friend when they were younger. Even though it went against everything she'd ever known and learned...she still trusted him. She just didn't show it.
"Merida, come up here!" Rapunzel yelled.
"Comin'," Merida shouted back and made her way up the stairs. She looked to the left and saw a hallway with seven open doors. Rapunzel, Jack, and Elsa were standing in the middle of the hall, facing away from her.
Elsa turned around and saw Merida. "Oh, hey! Turn around, you two," She told Jack and Rapunzel. They spun around and were confused when they saw Merida.
"Where's Hiccup?" Jack asked.
"Downstairs, why?" Merida answered.
"We're choosing who gets what room," Rapunzel replied. "Hiccup, come up here!" She shouted. He didn't respond but they could hear a sigh and the his clank of his metal leg as he climbed up the steps.
"What's going on?"
"We're choosing rooms," Elsa said quietly.
Merida searched through the doorways and examined the rooms and found the one she wanted. It was near the end of the hall on the right side. The walls were dark green in color and she noticed a chest at the foot of the bed that she could put her bow in.
"Yeah, that," Jack said. "Here's what we're going to do: we're going to count to three and everyone is going to quickly pick a room. The first door on each side leads to a bathroom... so don't bother going to either of those. Any questions?"
"You're not allowed to fly." Elsa told Jack.
"That's not a question but fine... No one is allowed to use their powers or anything weapons either. Everyone ready?"
"Yep," Hiccup said eyeing the room near the bathroom on the left. It appeared to be a light brown color.
"Yeah," Rapunzel stared at the room next to the bathroom, but on the right. It looked a light pink inside.
"Sure," Elsa said, looking nowhere in particular.
"Jus' get on with it a'ready!" Merida shouted, annoyed.
"One... Two... Three!" They all yelled out at the same time, except Elsa who didn't say anything at all.
Jack and Merida sprinted to get the rooms that were near the end while Hiccup and Rapunzel ran for the ones next to the bathrooms. Elsa didn't even move quickly. Jack stared at Elsa as she walked to the door at the very end of the hall.
They all stopped when they were in the doorway of their room and turned around to look at the others. Both Jack and Hiccup were on the left wall, while Rapunzel and Merida are on the right. Elsa was in the middle on the back wall.
"What are we waiting for?" Jack asked.
"Nothin'" Merida replied as she slammed the door. After putting her bow in the chest, she collapsed onto her bed. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep, after this very long and strange day.

Merida woke up to someone pounding on her door. "Merida! Wake up!" Jack yelled through the door. She really didn't want to get up so she groaned and continued to lay here. The door swung open but she ignored it hoping that the person would go away so she could sleep more. But when a freezing cold snowball splat in her face, she got angry.
"Jack! You better hide somewhere where I will never find you!" Merida screamed as she got out of bed and took her bow and quiver of arrows out of the chest. She stomped down the stairs to see Jack floating on his staff above her head. "Tha's not a very good hidin' spot," She took an arrow and shot it at him but it missed his head by an inch because he dodged out of the way.
"Whoa!" Jack cried. He went to hide behind Hiccup who was in the kitchen with Rapunzel and Elsa while Rapunzel cooked eggs for breakfast.
"I told you not to make her mad. She's trained to kill, you know," Hiccup spoke lamely.
"No! I didn't know that! But thank you for telling me!" Jack said sarcastically. Merida stomped behind Hiccup and grabbed Jack by the collar of his strange cloak and made sure that he no longer had his staff. "Don't let her kill me!" He pleaded. "Wait... she can't kill me so nevermind."
"I can' kill ya but I can cause ya a world a pain," Merida smirked at him. she took another arrow and aimed it at his arm. Right before she shot, her bow was covered in ice and weighed about ten more pounds. She looked at Jack whose eyes were staring at Elsa.
Elsa looked at Merida with a cold glare.
"That's enough of this. Can we all get along or at least pretend to, so we can all get home sooner? And I can go home to my sister? Please? Does that sound too difficult?" Elsa asked angrily.
There was a long pause while everyone starred at Elsa with shocked expressions. She had been so quiet in the past day or so that they'd known her, that they didn't even know that she had a voice. Let alone that she could yell at people.
Merida was the first one to recover.
"Fine, but can ya unfreeze ma bow?" Merida questioned her. Elsa stares at the bow and she felt it lighten up. She looked down to see her bow was no longer covered in ice. "Thank ya."
Jack was now over by Elsa, leaning against his staff, "Thanks for that, Snowflake."
Elsa smiled slightly and leaned in close to him. It looked almost as if she is going to kiss him, "No problem, Snowflake." She suddenly pulled away and skipped over to Rapunzel to help with breakfast--a triumphant smug plastered on her face.
Merida watched Jack as he stared at Elsa. Hiccup walked over to him and smacked him in the back of the head.
"Ow! Hey, what was that for!" Jack glared at Hiccup.
Hiccup looked at Elsa and Rapunzel to make sure they weren't listening. What he didn't know was that Merida was. "You might not want to make it that obvious," He whispered to Jack.
"What are you talking about?" Jack asked.
Hiccup rolled his eyes and whispered to him again, "You like El--"
North burst through the doors of their suite. "Pitch is in--"
