10: Jamie and His Friends

Elsa let what North said sink in; everyone seemed to do that as well. First Rapunzel and Kristoff, then the elves and yetis. What's next? Bad things always come in threes so seriously, what's next?

Jack was the first to speak after the long silence. Elsa didn't realize until now that he was standing right next to her--their arms touching--causing her to jump when she heard him.

"We have to go find them. If Pitch kept his lair in the same place, then I might know where we can find him."

"What about toys?" North asked, seemingly delirious. "Toys are destroyed... children won't believe if I can't get toys made by Christmas." North slumped down in a nearby chair as they all watched him sadly.

Another long silence followed and Jack was once again the person to break it. "What about Jamie and his friends?" He jumped up excitedly. "They all believe in you! They could come here to help you make the toys, while we kill Pitch and rescue the others."

"We can't just bring them here. Parents will know they are missing." North replied as if the answer was obvious.

Jack laughed, "Let Sandy handle that... speaking of which, we should call the others."

North's expression changed. "How could I forget!" He walked over to what looked like a desk with lots of lights and switches. He twisted something, green, blue, and purple lights shot up from the globe.

"Northen Lights," Jack whispered, leaning closer to Elsa. His mouth was so close to her ear that she could feel his cool breath.

Elsa watched in wonder. After all those years of thinking the Northern Lights were a natural thing that occur, only to find out that they were a signal that Santa Claus sent out when there was a problem.

They stood around asking North questions until the others showed up. First came Tooth, flying through the window with some fairies by her side. She gasped when she saw the toys, "What happened North? And where is everyone?"

North was about to answer but a hole appeared in the ground, and out hopped Bunny. "What happened here, Mate?" Bunny inquired, concerned but painting an egg.

"I will explain when Sandy is here."

Elsa noticed the little golden man out of the corner of her eye, and apparently so did Hiccup.

"Sandy is here." Hiccup pointed to Sandy, who was angrily blowing sand out of his ears.

Jack chuckled lightly and whispered in Elsa's ear, "That happens to Sandy a lot." She stared into his beautifully blue eyes for a moment too long, "You're staring, Snowflake."

She giggled quietly as if to say that it was nothing... but deep down inside they both knew it wasn't nothing. That there was something more to what just happened between them during her staring.

Jack smirked at her, he still stood by her side, their hands now very close to touching...

"Sorry," North apologized to Sandy, cutting off the words she was about to say to Jack.

North stated explaining the attacks from the nightmares and Pitch. They appeared on the globe first then started knocking out the yetis. Nightmares then took the elves and destroyed the toys, burying North underneath.

When he was done speaking, symbols appeared over Sandy's head. Some were arrows that are pointing to the four of us, question marks, toys, a clock, a house and the moon. Elsa couldn't understand a thing he said...well symbolized? North, Bunny, and Tooth were talking in hushed tones.

"What's he saying?" Elsa questioned Jack, still watching the small man.

He shrugged, "I have no idea. I've never been able to understand him."

She looked over to Merida and Hiccup who acted as confused as they were. Elsa waved her hand for them to come over. Merida stepped over to her left side and Hiccup was in front of Elsa, Jack to her right. They formed a small circle.

"Does anyone have any idea what they are talking about?" Elsa asked.

"I thought I heard Tooth say something about Máni and time... but that's about it," Hiccup answered.

"Time? Time fer what?" Merida glanced at him.

"If I knew I would have told you," Hiccup grumbled.

Merida raises her voice, "What was dat Haddock?"

Jack chuckled, "You two bicker like an old married couple!"

Elsa couldn't help but smile at his remark. However, she had to be the responsible one here, "Enough, you're all acting like children." She silenced them sternly. Hiccup and Merida glared at Jack while he ignored them.

Jack, Elsa, Hiccup, Merida a strange voice called. Hiccup, Merida, and Elsa turned around searching for the stranger, but Jack looked to the moon.

"What is it Máni?"

The three of them looked up to the moon as well.

Pitch has done something, other than taking your friends. Rapunzel should not be 17... she is really 21. She and Mother Gothel were taken from the past, from the kingdom of Corona, by Pitch while they were sleeping one night. Elsa, Rapunzel is truly your cousin, Princess of Corona. She was at your coronation, only she had short brown hair. The one with long, blonde, healing hair is the one from the past.

Both are existing during this time, though, which should not be possible; one of the Rapunzels should have disappeared due to the time space continuum. I do not know why this hasn't happened yet, but I do know that Pitch has created a time portal. You need to save Rapunzel and the others, but be sure not to let Rapunzel know about her being a princess. For she has another destiny waiting for her. Once she is saved you need to send her back to her time; four years ago. And then destroy the time portal.

One more thing, the five of you aren't guardians yet. You will become guardians only after you die for a noble cause. This does not mean you will die anytime soon. Your fates have already been chosen for you and you will find them out eventually. For now just focus on the task at hand: defeating Pitch Black and sending Rapunzel back to her own time. I wish you the best of luck in saving your friends.

Farewell Guardians.

The voice disappeared, leaving them to think about what Máni explained: Rapunzel was Elsa's cousin, Princess of Corona... but she didn't know she was the princess. She had healing hair and was from the past. "This is very confusing," Elsa mumbled, more to herself than anyone else but people responded.

"You think." Hiccup deadpanned.

Jack laughed awkwardly, "Well..." His face scrunched up as if he was trying to figure something out. "Elsa, Hiccup, Merida and I will get Jamie and his friends to help make more toys. You need to start on the toys while we're gone."

"Since when do ya take charge, and make decisions, Mate?" Bunny asked mockingly.

"Since now." The four of them spun around and started walking away until Jack turned back around to face the guardians. "Actually, I need Sandy to come with too."

Sandy shrugged and followed the four as they exited the workshop.

Hiccup helped Merida put on a heavy cloak, then got on Toothless. "Don' ya need a coat too?" Merida asked him.

Hiccup only chuckled at her and held out his hand. Merida accepted when Hiccup answered, "I'm used to the cold. Jack makes it snow nine months out of the year in Berk." Merida got on Toothless behind Hiccup and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Are you two coming?"

Elsa looked at Sandy who made a cloud out of dream sand and wad hovering, waiting for her and Jack to get moving.

Jack, whom she didn't know was behind her the whole time, picked her up in his arms and took off in the sky. "Jack! Don't scare me like that!"

He smiled at her and continued to fly ahead of Hiccup, but Sandy stayed by their side. It was now that Elsa realized she had no idea where they were going. They were obviously heading south, probably to somewhere in America, she had no idea where in America. "Jack, where does Jamie live?"

"Pennsylvania." He answered bluntly. "No need to worry about freezing anything, though. It's Winter and I usually make it snow a lot there. Now that I think of it... It needs another snowstorm."

They were getting closer to the ground. They landed in the middle of a street, it was late at night so no one would notice them. Jack started walking towards a red house. They followed behind him. He flew up to a window on the second floor and knocked, "Jamie, you up?" Jack knocked again, this time the window opened.

A thirteen year boy with brown hair and hazel eyes smiled at Jack sleepily. He yawned, "Hey, Jack."

Jack got straight to business, "Jamie, Pitch kidnapped all the elves and yetis at North's. Do you think you and your friends could help him make toys while the rest of us get them back? You'll be gone until Christmas..." What happened to the guardian of fun? Elsa wondered.

Jamie perked up, "Yeah, of course! It'll be so much fun let's go get the others--wait--what about my parents and Sophie?" He frowned.

"Don't worry, Sandy will take care of it."

"Then what are we waiting for?"

Jack grabbed Jamie by the arm and floated him to the ground in front of then. "Sandy make sure the parents and Sophie sleep for the next week." Sandy nodded and entered the house.

"Who are they?" Jamie asked curiously. "And is that a dragon?"

"Oh, yeah sorry." Jack pointed at the fiery redhead, "That's Merida, Princess of Scottland, Watch out because if she doesn't like you, or if you call her 'princess', she'll shoot an arrow through your eye." Jack warned.

"Cool!"

Merida grinned. "Thanks lad, ye don't seem as bad as ma wee brodders--wee devils, dey ar'." She walked over to him and ruffled his hair.

"That," Jack pointed to Hiccup and Toothless, "is Hiccup and his dragon, Toothless. Hiccup was the first to train a dragon."

"Awesome! How'd you do it?" Jamie asked.

"That's a very long story for another time, kid." Hiccup explained patting Toothless on the head.

"And finally," Jack walked over to Elsa and rested his elbow on her shoulder, "Ice Queen Elsa, of Arendelle."

"Ice? Like Jack's powers?" Jamie looked up. Boy is this teen curious...

Elsa shook Jack's elbow off of her. Walking over to Jamie, she bowed, "Almost exactly the same. I just use my hands. And my emotions control my powers."

"Wow... can I ask you to prove it?" Elsa smiled, opening her hand she let a few snowflakes escape from it. His eyes widened, "Cool! Hey Jack you should marry Elsa..." Jack and Elsa both blushed at that.

On the other hand, Merida and Hiccup were laughing.

"And everyone, this is Jamie." Jack said quickly, freezing the ground under Jamie.

He started slipping, "Jack!" He laughed. Before Jamie could fall Elsa created ice skates for him, "Thanks Elsa!" He grinned and skated around the ten foot patch of ice Jack made.

Sandy came it of the house so they left to get Jamie's friends: Pippa, Monte, Caleb, Claude, and Cupcake. Once they explained to them what was going on, the children agreed and Sandy put their families to sleep for the next week. Once the week was over Tooth would create fake memories for them so that nobody would get suspicious. Sandy made another dream cloud for the kids to sit on for the way back to the North Pole.

Once they were done talking to North and the guardians, they went to their suite to get some rest before they set out to find Pitch tomorrow. The four of them entered the living room area and sat down on the couch or a chair, staring at the fire. None of them really spoke until Elsa, "It doesn't feel right being here without Rapunzel."

"Yeah... It's oddly quiet." Hiccup said.

"I can change dat if ye'd like." Though Merida responded with attitude, she was frowning.

They all were.

The silence dragged on as they continued to stare into the flames. It felt like hours that they restlessly sat there.

Watching.

Waiting.

Staring.

Elsa began falling asleep.

She was just about to start dreaming when something cool wrapped under her. Her eyes stayed closed, too heavy to open. She only figured out who the person was when he spoke. "You two should probably go to bed," Jack said.

"Merida's already sleeping." Elsa heard Hiccup say. "I'll stay down here with her."

"Alright. Goodnight."

Jack walked up the stairs, down the hallway, and into her room. He paused before setting her on the bed and pulling the comforter over her. He kisses her forehead, "Sweet dreams, Elsa. I love you." Jack walked out of the room, but she thought he was leaning against the door in case she had a nightmare. But that wasn't not what she was thinking about...

Jack loves me?

Hello Guardians!

Not my best chapter :( So I shed some light on the Rapunzel situation, hope it makes a little more sense now. Jack said he loves Elsa while he thinks she's sleeping... The new (almost) guardians (except Rapunzel) met Jamie and his friends. The vote for Merricup vs Hiccstrid is on until the end of this book (I may not actually care about your opinion). Total so far: Merricup 18--Hiccstrid 7. Please vote for what story you want me to write next in "New Story Options" in my works.
