1: Meeting the New Guardians

"What if I say no?" Elsa asked Jack.

She was wearing an ice-blue, long sleeved dress with a cape, and her hair was pulled into a French braid that fell over her left shoulder.

He had no idea why Máni choose her or what her powers were... but man was she beautiful. Jack felt bad for what he was about to do, but he had to play it cool.

"You don't have much of a choice," he smirked at her. He looked at Phil, North's head yeti, who was now standing behind Elsa with a red sack in his hands. "Go ahead, Phil," he told him. With that being said, Phil picked Elsa up and stuffed her in the sack. Jack could see that Elsa was fighting to escape from the sack, but he knew wouldn't work; the sacks were magical and could hold millions of toys.

Jack took the snow globe that North gave him out of his hoodie pocket and whispered, "North's Workshop," to it. He then threw it on the ground and a portal to the North Pole opened up. He motioned for Phil to go through. Phil threw Elsa through first, then jumped in himself. Jack followed them after getting one last glance at the summery Arendelle.

Once they were in North's workshop, Jack looked around and saw four red sacks moving on the ground. One of the sacks was fifteen feet long. Another was shaped like pumpkin. The last two were smaller size in size.

He could tell that Bunny was going to rub it in his face that he was the last one here by the way Bunny walked over to him,

"Guess ya lost, mate," He said with a sly grin in his Australian accent.

"Very funny Kangaroo," Bunny glared at him, "Queen Elsa was difficult to obtain. She believes in me."

"She what? Why would a queen believe in you?"

Jack rolled his eyes, "I don't know any more that you do, Kangaroo." If looks could kill, Jack would surely be dead.

Suddenly the sack that Elsa was in turned to ice and exploded. "Jack! How dare you kidnap me!" She screamed as she stormed up to Jack. All he could do was stare at her like an idiot.

What just happened? I didn't-- did she just-- how? Dozens of questions filtered through his head in the few seconds that he was staring at her.

Instead of answering her question,"How did you do that?" Was all Jack managed to blurt out. She started to get angry, or maybe scared. He couldn't tell.

A blizzard formed around her as her eyes widened and she crouched to the ground, as if trying to contain something. Out of the corner of Jack's eye he noticed North, Tooth, Sandy, and Bunny are staring at him like he was the one doing it. "I'm not doing anything, I swear!" He yelled through the storm.

The blizzard same to an abrupt stop and Elsa stood up. Serioulsly... what just happened? She walked over to him again, this time calmly.

"I have powers like you, Jack. That's how I did that." She tried not to look in his eyes when she said that. Her cheeks flushed a light pink as if she was embarrassed. "I was born with them but I'm only just learning to control them."

Wait... there is someone one else out there who is like me? Of course there is you idiot, she's right in front of you.

Elsa looked to the other Guardians and gained confidence, "Now would someone please tell me why he just kidnapped me?" She asked as she pointed to Jack.

"Yes, of course!" North exclaims in his heavy Russian accent. He turns his attention to Tooth and Sandy, "You can let others out now."

"Ooh I can't wait to meet the new Guardians!" Tooth squealed. She and Sandy quickly untied the three remaining sacks.

Out of the other small sack was a girl with flaming orange, long, curly hair, pale skin, and vibrant blue eyes. She seemed to be an average height. She was wearing a long teal dress with a quiver of arrows on her hip and bow strung on her back. When Máni chose her yesterday, North said that her name was Merida, princess of the clan Dun Broch, in Scotland.

Out of the pumpkin shaped sack came a girl with long, really long, golden blonde hair. She had green eyes and medium-pale skin. The girl was shorter in stature. She was wearing a shin-length, light purple, and pink dress with three-quarter sleeves. Her name was Rapunzel, from Corona.

The person to come out of the giant sack was a surprisingly small boy. He had shaggy brown hair, green eyes, and pale skin. He was wearing a green shirt and pants with brown, furry boots and what appeared to be a leather harness on his upper body. If Jack recalled correctly, his name was Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third, heir of Berk. He also remembered that he usually forced it to ice over a lot in Berk...and this kid happens to slip...a lot.

What followed the boy out of the sack, Jack had no words for. A black dragon, with bright green eyes and was wearing brown saddle on its back, crawled out of the sack.

The entire room tensed as the dragon walked past everyone in the room quietly. When the dragon reached Jack, however, it was a different story. It started growling and looked like it was about to attack him.

Jack nervously, and slowly, backed away but it just came closer to him. "Toothless! Be nice, these are friends... I think." Hiccup said cautiously.

"Toothless?" Jack asked as he stared inside the beast's mouth at its razor sharp teeth. "This thing definitely has teeth."

Behind Hiccup everyone relaxed and started to talk among each other.

Jack watched Elsa as she talked with Rapunzel and Merida. Tooth was chattering to her fairies while Sandy was sleeping. North and Bunny were arguing about whose holiday was more important.

"But Easter is not Christmas." North argued confidently.

Bunny stood straighter, "Oh crikey. Yer never gonna give this up are ya, mate?"

Jack returned his attention back to Hiccup. He shrugged, "He doesn't always have--"

"Haddock is tha' you?" Merida asked in her strong Scottish accent.

Hiccup looked visibly frightened as she walked up to him to get a closer look, she gasped, "It is you!"

In a split second she had her bow off of her shoulder and an arrow out of her quiver aimed at Hiccup's head. Hiccup immediately raised his arms up in defense, "Yer dragons 'ar eating up all of 'ar sheep!" She yelled in his face.

"Merida, please, put the bow down... I know you're not going to shoot me, so put it down."

Jack was impressed with how calm Hiccup was. Especially with an arrow trained on his head, "Merida, put the bow down."

He noticed, along with everyone else, that Toothless fell to the ground as if he were laughing. Everyone turned their heads towards him except Merida, who was still aiming at Hiccup. "Yeah, thanks for your support here, bud. Real helpful," Hiccup rolled his eyes at Toothless, "You're supposed to be on my side."

Jack saw North sigh and take a few steps toward Merida, "Lower the bow!" He shouted at her. She hesitantly lowered her weapon and glared at North. "You were all brought here for important reason. And it was not to argue about dragons!"

Jack watched North as he waited to make sure they were all listening. "I think it is time to introduce everyone." North cleared his throat. "I am North, guardian of Wonder. You all know me as Santa Claus and this is my workshop. That, " he points to Tooth and she waves, "is Tooth, the Tooth Fairy, guardian of memories. Here, " North walks over to Sandy, "we have Sandy, the Sandman, guardian of dreams. Unfortunately he can't talk, and we don't know why. This," he now motions to Kangaroo, "is Bunny--"

"Kangaroo," Jack coughed.

Bunny ignored me as North continued, "The Easter Bunny, guardian of hope. Jack why don't you introduce yourself?"

He shrugged but on the inside was wondering if these people believed in him.

"Can you all see me?" Jack asked first. Merida, Hiccup, and Rapunzel nodded their heads with confused expressions. Elsa rolled her eyes at him. "Good. I'm Jack, Jack Frost, Guardian of Fun, and the Winter Spirit. The reason I asked if you could see me was because people who don't believe in me can't see me."

"Jack Frost? As in the person that makes it snow in Berk nine months out of the year?" Hiccup questioned.

"The one and only..." Jack mockingly bowed to him. "Sorry but I'm really lonely and it's really funny to see your face when you slip on ice," he smirked.

"Gee thanks," Hiccup said sarcastically.

"Jack, explain to them why they are here." North commanded. Well he's pushy today...must be the lack of cookies.

Pitch was back. When Máni told them so last night Jack was shocked. However, he was even more shocked when Máni told them that there were going to be some new guardians. Not just one, but four. And he wanted Jack to team up with them.

"You all know who the bogeyman is. But what you don't know is that guardians like us," Jack gestured to North,Tooth, Bunny, and Sandy, "have been protecting mortals from him for hundreds of years. Just five years ago, Pitch decided that he wanted to destroy us again."

Jack started pacing taking glances at the four new guardians. "However his plans backfired. The minions he had created out of black sand, had sensed Pitch's own fears and attacked him. When this happened, we naïvely believed that he was gone for good. But he has returned and is now stronger than ever."

"Máni, the man in the moon, has chosen the four of you, as well as myself, to team up and defeat him once and for all."

"Did I skip anything important?" He asked North.

"No... but ya forgot the part about ya becoming a guardian after Pitch tried to kill us," Bunny mumbled this as if he thought Jack was hiding it.

"Why do need me if you have Jack?" Elsa glanced at Jack. Her innocent look ,scent chill down his spine, which should nor have happened. He was the embodiment of winter itself.

"We have the same powers... if you don't need me can I go home?" He saw a glimmer of hope in her eyes. Jack felt bad for her, she had a sister that was probably worried sick about her. When he said that Anna was going to take care of the kingdom, it was never actually arranged; he just took Elsa and left without anyone knowing where she was going.

North's face was solemn as he walked up to Elsa. He placed his arm labeled 'NICE' on Elsa's back and pointed to the moon with the other, "Máni has big plans for you, Elsa. We need you more than you know."

Just as fast as it appeared, that hopeful glint in her eyes disappeared into thin air. North noticed it too, "Jack, Elsa, come." He gestured for them as he exited the main room where the toys were made. Elsa glanced at Jack curiously. He shrugged his shoulders, signaling that he didn't know, and walked alongside her as they followed North to his private office.

When they entered he heard Elsa gasp, "It's... wonderful." She stared in awe at the train set made of ice, and all of the beautiful wooden toys that were piled up around North's desk.

"That is point," North said, his Russian accent very strong. Jack understood why North brought Elsa here now. He wanted her to find her center.

Though Jack didn't know why North brought him with. Maybe just for some moral support from someone who controls the same element? Like I could help anyone emotionally, Jack scoffed at even thinking like that.Sure he could be caring when needed, but other than that...He was usually the fun one that made messes.

"I bring children wonder. That is thing I bring into world. That is thing I protect in children," North pulled Jack close to Elsa and he saw her blush. Jack chuckled to himself but apparently Elsa noticed.

She glared at me, "Jack both brings and protects fun in children... so Elsa...what is your center?"

She looked confused yet sad at the same time. Jack started to feel bad for her again, the third time today. She stuttered, "I--I don't know."

"Don't fret dear one. You will figure it out when time is right... It sure took Jack long time."

North's statement angered Jack for some reason, and he didn't even know why, "What do you mean by 'long time'? It took like three days." He remarked, feeling offended.

Why am I not acting like my usual fun self?

"Guardian of fun also has few anger and offendment issues once in while," North whispered to Elsa.

"I can hear you, you know," Jack walked out of North's office and down the hall back toward the main toy room. He heard soft scrapes on the ground coming near him but he didn't look back to see who it wad.

"Jack, wait," She called. When she was about five feet behind him, he turned around to see was Elsa gliding on ice as it formed beneath her.

He couldn't help but stare at how beautiful she was. Her pale skin, platinum blonde hair, and vibrant blue eyes made the perfect combination against the ice on the floor.

Jack realized a moment too late that Elsa wasn't able to stop herself. She crashed into him, both falling to the ground. She landed on top of him with her face an inch from his with wide eyes.

Hello Guardians,

I looked it up and apparently Máni is the of the God of the moon. And yes I did spell it correctly. So if you are one of those people who is also writing a 'Big Five' story, then please spell Máni's name correctly. If you do so I will read, comment, and vote on every chapter of your 'Big Five' story. Also I made up the word 'offendment' because I couldn't find the right word to use...GAH
