As they walked towards the river bank, Sangamithra kept thinking about the green light. When they reached the river bank, Aditha pressed her hands in assurance about his return. However, she was extremely scared as she was yet to find the solution. He moved away from her and went to the old priestess to get her blessings.

After receiving the blessings, he removed his shirt and he just had the dhoti on him. As she kept looking at him, she noticed the rudraksham on his neck. She then touched her necklace and an idea sparked in her mind. She found the answer to the first part of the riddle. By the time, she looked at him again, he was in knee deep water, ready to do his prayers before jumping into it.

Sangamithra: Ilavarase..

She went running towards him. The old priestess smiled at her. Aditha turned around and looked at her.

Aditha: Enna kanne?

Sangamithra: Thangal kaiyai neettungal.

She then tied her hip chain around his hand with two stones tied to it. Since her chain is much lighter to all the jewelry she had on her, she chose it.

Sangamithra: Ivai Maragadha paralgal. Irunda pozhudhil idhai nokkungal. Ivai oli tharum endru Rukmani thaayar sonnaar.

She lied about Rukmani's part to not have him doubt her.

Sangamithra: Indha aranaal ennai thaangal ninaivu koora... Thangalin manaivi karaiyil kaatthirukkiren.

He smiled and nodded his head at her. He then turned around and did his prayer. As she stood next to him in the water, she prayed.

Sangamithra: Avar uyirai ella vaazhkkaiyilum thiruppi thandhu vidamma.

He then jumped into the water. She went to the river bank and sat on a spot. While everyone was keenly looking at the river, she closed her eyes and started praying to Eesan. Veera went and stood behind her as per Aditha's command to protect her in his absence.

Sangamithra: Eesa, ennaal aana anaitthaiyum naan seidhu vitten. Ennai nee pirappitthadhu oru uyariya kaaranathirku endru naan ariven. Andha kaaranam indru kan mun neeril moozhgi kondirukkiradhu. Avarukku oli kodu iraivaa...

She started praying with closed eyes and tears kept rolling down. Meanwhile, Aditha was able to cross certain distance without any issues. However, as he reached the center, he was suddenly chased by snakes. As he swam away from them, he didn't notice the rock in front of him and hit his head on it quite strongly.

He started loosing blood and the current started pulling him. As it was near a new moon day, there was no moon light on the sky. Aditha was going with the current at some point. Suddenly he heard his wife chants in his half conscious state and then remembered her words to look at the stones on his hand when there was a need for light. He tried lifting his hand and looked at it after some struggle. At the same time, a lightning struck in the sky and the light shone on the stones. He then pushed himself to wake up and opened his eyes clearly. Her words kept repeating in his ears. She was waiting for him on the riverbank.

As she kept praying the lightning which struck, fell on the tree near her. When the tree was about to fall on her, Veera held it from falling on her. It was a large tree. However, he was able to hold on it and he didn't disturb her prayer. Subodhar ran towards the fallen tree and held it to support his friend.

Aditha gathered all his strength and swam against the powerful currents. He turned around to see if the snakes were still following him. They were not following him anymore. He then briskly swam towards the other end and reached the other side. As he stepped on that part of the land, people cried and took aaratthis of him. Many of the people fell on his foot. He stopped walking and asked them to rise.

As they all stood up, he looked around and found a boatsman.

Aditha: Ayya, thangal parisalai enaku thara mudiyuma?

Parisalotti: Ilavarase, enna kelvi idhu? Engal saabam theerttha deivam thaangal. Thangalukku illaadhadhaa? Naane otti varugiren, ilavarase.

Aditha shook his head as he was still not sure if the curse was lifted or not.

Aditha: Naane otti selgiren. Saabam theerndhadhu endru eppadi arivadhu? Adhanaal thaangal vara veandom. oru thee pandhatthai mattum ttharungal.

Woman from village: Itthanai rattham vazhigindradhe.

Aditha: Enakkaga en devi angu kaatthirukkirraal. Naan sellum varai uyirai kaiyil piditthiruppaal. Angu sendru avalai udane sandhikka veandum amma.

He was not asked many questions and then given a torch and the boat to cross the river. The river was much calmer on his way back. The old priestess was already on her knees when she noticed the beacon of light in the middle of the river.

Sevili: Thaaiye, enna aanadhu? Yean mandiyittu vitteergal?

Old priestess: En thaayi uraitthaal. Naduvil oli varum engal vaazhvil vidivu varum endru. Adhu nadandhadhu. Adho oli! Ilavarasar engalai kaappatri vittaar.

Sevili had tears in her eyes as she kept looking at her princess and Subodhar and Veera as they held on to the tree. She thanked god for saving their crown prince. Aditha soon reached the their side of the river. The old priestess thanked him and asked him to walk further to the person he was waiting to meet. He ran towards his wife who still had her eyes closed. Tears kept flowing and she felt his fingers wiping her tears.

Aditha: Kanne, naan vandhu vitten.

She opened her eyes to see him leaking blood from forehead.

Sangamithra: Ilavarase, rattham. eppadi aanadhu?

She quickly tore a piece of cloth from saree and tied it around his forehead.

Aditha: Oru nodi kanne.

He then ran towards his friends and pushed the tree along with them in the opposite direction. It fell with a huge sound. Veera and Subodhar hugged Aditha. Sangamithra kept crying watching the scene. The old priestess came towards her and held her hand.

Old priestess: Vidhiyai maattra vandha nee ini jaakkiradhaiyaaga irutthal avasiyam amma.

She didn't understand what the old woman had said. At the same time, Aditha had also returned to her side. Old priestess blessed them and went back in the boat he came.

Aditha then hugged her. Sevili, Subodhar and Veera went back to their tents to provide some privacy to their prince and princess.

Aditha: Accham kondaayo kanne?

Sangamithra: Uyir thondaikkum nenjukkuzhikkum idayil nindru ponadhu perumaane. Ini ippadi oru uyir paritchaiyai seidhu en uyirai paritthu vidadheergal.

She took a moment to think. He had given her everything except one.

Sangamithra: Ennai meendum manandhu kolveera?

He looked at her with a puzzled expression.

Sangamithra: Thangalai manandhadhu ninaivil illai enakku. Indha naalil ungalai izhandhu irundhaal ungaludan nadandha thirumanatthai kooda ennaal ninaitthu paarkka mudiyavillai. Adhaanal adhuve enaku veandum perumaane.

Aditha: Zilam thirumbi thirumanam nadandhaal enna?

Sangamithra: Illai perumaane. Inge nadatthal veandum. Iniyum naal kazhippadhai naan virumbavillai.

Aditha: Un aasai aadhuvaanal appadiye aagattum kanne.

They then walked towards the tent. After they finished the dinner, Subodhar asked him.

Subodhar: Naam naadu thirumbalama ilavarase?

Aditha: Arasar nammakku itta aanai enna?

Subodhar: Makkal thunbatthil irukkiraargal avargal thunbatthai pokkummaaru koorinaar.

Aditha: Aam. Thunbatthai pokka paadhiyai dhaan seidhirukkirom. Matra paadhiyai seiya veandoma?

Veera: Enna adhu ilavarase?

Aditha: Aattrukku idayil paalam ondrai katta veandum. Illaiyendraal mazhai adhigaamana kaalangalil avargal meendum avadhikullaavar.

He didn't know then that he was going to build the bridge which was later going to pull him into the river in his next life.
