The wedding stage was set up in the middle of the Nila mandapam as it boasted raised platforms on both ends for esteemed guests like groom's relatives and family and a long varendah to seat the country's people. The entire mandapam was decorated with flowers and almost five hundred to six hundred members worked in the decoration. Since they had a practice of giving gifts before marrying the girl, Sannam had brought five cauldrons of jewelry, three cauldrons of gold biscuits, five cauldrons of silver coins, hundred cows and goats and placed fifty one plates for the nalangu ceremony.

Sambaladevan was visibly commenting how he had provided more gifts to Umayal other than he had for any of his wives. He was even commenting about if the girl being worthy of all these gifts. As the princes were serving the relatives of Sannam, Raveendra was constantly getting irritated with that old man and his relative's jibe. Aditha kept his hand on his brother's shoulders to calm him from time to time. He was really missing Veera at the moment to handle this little brother of himself as Veera had a better relation with Raveendra than anyone in the palace.

As the rituals started, Sambaladevan was called to finish his nalangu.

Sambaladevan: Indha nalangu manappennudan dhaane mudikka veandum???

As Aditha returned to the palace, he took the responsibility of handling the wedding. Hence, he came forward when Sambaladevan questioned and answered him.

Vadivaambal then called Aditha near her. She knew that this was the person who insulted her nephew. So she was thinking to take her revenge.

Aditha listening to her words, went near her and nodded his head with a smile. She was stunned for a moment. She had never seen such a handsome man in her life.

He smiled again. She was totally charmed by his smile. Vadivaambal was still not going to give up on insulting him.

Vadivaambal: Naangal itthanai seer seigirome. Adharku thagundhaar pola irundhaal podhumappa. Sari nee sel.

Aditha smiled and walked away. He didn't even mind the old lady's words as the people in his palace were more rude and malicious.

Virutha Varmar was seated in the opposite raised platform along with the bride's relatives. He was also noticing how they were talking about Umayal. He was feeling a bit uneasy in giving his daughter away to such a family as most of the opposite raised platform was occupied by Sambaladevan's wives.

Boomadevi was also seated next to Virutha Varmar as she watched everything with a smile on her face. She never liked Umayal as the latter was the apple of the eye for everyone in the palace and took everyone's attention away from her. To see such an end for Rukmani's daughter, she was truly delighted. The same could be said for Porchelvi as she was happy for Rajendra in attaining his goal. Ponnarasi and all the wives of Rajendra except Poovizhi were also seated next to Boomadevi. Rajendra was at the entrance with Nedumaaran welcoming everyone to the wedding.

Rajendra: Ini thadaiyaaga ondrum Vara povadhillai.

As he was about to enter the mandapam, he saw a carriage with fish emblem flag. He blinked his eyes twice or thrice before checking the carriage again. His eyes weren't lying. This was the same carriage. That carriage itself gave him a fear for life. He hoped that the carriage didn't carry the person he had in his mind.

Noticing his shivers, Nedumaaran nudged him and asked.

Nedumaaran: Enna aanadhu ilavarase????

Rajendra: Ingu naam nirka veandom. Ulle Sendru viduvom.

He was visibly scared and ran away from there. However, he maintained his composure when he walked into the mandapam. He went and settled down in his chair near his father. He really hoped for that person to not enter Zilam. That person was his nightmare. To his dismay, a guard ran inside and announced the arrival of this newcomer aka his nightmare. As this new person was of a high stature compared to Virutha Varmar and Sambaladevan, he had to announce, so that everyone could make room for his arrival.

Guard: Arase... Sabaiyil ulla periyorgale... Kringa desatthin Arasar, Kochadaiyaan Ranadheeran thirumanatthirku varugai thandhirukkiraar.

His voice reached the end of the mandapam and everyone's eyes turned towards the entrance where a tall buff man was applying the sandal on his hands and smiled at the little girls who welcomed him.

As he was a king, both Virutha Varmar and Sambaladevan stood up from their chairs. Then, Aditha went near Virutha and whispered something in his ears. Virutha nodded his head and nudged Boomadevi to come with him to entrance.

Since the newcomer was a king, Virutha had to go and invite him. Upon closer inspection, Virutha noticed the handsomeness of Ranadheera. He was beyond the descriptions the king had heard previously about him.

Boomadevi took his aarathi with an irritated face as he smirked at her.

Virutha: Vaarungal Arase... En magaludaiya thirumanatthirku vandhadharku nandri..

Rana: Vanakkangal Arase.. Naan Vara thaane veandum.

Boomadevi: Azhaitthadhu dhaan yaarendru theriyavillai. Ippodhu yeano muraiyaai edhuvum nadappadhillai.

Virutha glared at her as Rana had the second highest military power in Zilam. He was the next strongest king in the island. So enmity with them would definitely be a bad idea for Zilam as a war between them would ensure more calamities.

Rana smiled and met her eyes.

Rana: Muraiyil neengal arasarin naangam manaivi dhaane?? Rani Chandravadhani irandhu vittaar endru ariven. Matra iruvarai enna seidheergal?? Murai thavari vandhuvittu muraiyai pattri pesugireer. As Kringam was famous for its medicines, he offered his goodwill.

Even though Virutha didn't like the way Ranadheera addressed Boomadevi, he had to stay calm as she warranted this reaction from the young king. He was a king after all.

As they walked inside, people of Zilam were in awe to see such a handsome man. He was bare chested and had worn different gold chains from neck to abdomen with gold vanki on both his arms and his crown was even more beautiful with half sun at the back and a kalasam like design in the middle. His forehead had a chandira pirai as thilagam. He had a white dhoti on and he really looked like a groom in it.

Some of the people even gossiped that this newcomer looked more like a groom than the actual groom.

The servants quickly brought a chair for him to sit and placed it near Virutha's seat. Virutha and Boomadevi went back to their seats in hopes of Rana following them. However, he stood in the middle with folded hands for vanakkam and looked towards Aditha's direction.

Rana: Thennaadudaiya Sivane Potri...

Then looked upwards and said

Rana: Ennaattavarkum Iraivaa Potri....

No one noticed the way Aditha's lips showed a small smile and it disappeared in a fraction of a second.

As Rana stood in the middle, Sambaladevan asked Kamanar to come near him as he was in the wedding stage. The advisor went near him.

Sambaladevan: Ivan Edharku ippodhu vandhirukkiraan?? Yean avanudaiya irukkaiyil Sendru amaraamal angaye nirkkiraan??

Sambaladevan nodded his head and

Rana: En peyar Kochadaiyaan Ranadheeran.. Raana enbadhu enaku piditthavargal mattume azhaikkum peyar. Thangalukku appadi azhaikka urimai illai.

As both the nations were not in friendly terms, this didn't come off as a surprise to anyone.

First minister guessed the animosity between them and tried to smooth the situation out.

First minister: Kringa desatthu Arase... Moovarasargal koodiyirukkireergal.. Indha neratthil Edharku vambu?? Ingu vandhu amaralaame.

Rana: Vambizhukka thaane vandhirukkiren Boopalan avargale.

At the same time, Aditha looked at his father requesting permission to talk. Virutha nodded his head.
