I know my next challenge is Mt. Moon, where team rocket will try to mess me up with poison pokemon that could quickly murder my team. But between that is the next route, where I can buy a magikarp, catch another pokemon and battle plenty of trainers earning loads of much needed EXP. I decide that I should catch a pokemon first and decide from there. After battling a couple trainers, I enter the grass and encounter a spearow. I go ahead and throw a pokeball and catch it. Its a calm nature spearow. I return to the pokemon center and heal up. I look at my party and think. I was really hoping for a nidorian- it would be immune to the poison effect that seemed to be my only real fear. Plus a nidoking would have been really nice. Spearow was alright though- it would soon become a powerful fearow and get some decent moves, plus I could use fly. (I mean, there's no guarantee you get a pokemon that can use fly in a nuzlocke)
I decide to go ahead and train spearow on route 2. I also want to get warturtle to lv 25 or higher- it's currently at lv 21. This is because it's the only pokemon I have that I can rely on to take out poison point pokemon, due to the fact that it has sp attack moves. I can't afford to fail against team rocket- any pokemon that gets poisoned in the maze of Mt. Moon would be as good as dead. I'm about to make route 3 my personal training ground.
