Yes I know, but lemme explain..,..

So I stocked up on pokeballs, and headed forward route 2. There i caught a rattata level 2, jolly nature. I put it in the PC for in case my entire team dies. I enter viridian forest, and the first pokemon is a Weedle level 5. I send in sqirtle and try throwing pokeballs at it, because I don't want to accidentally kill this thing.it string shots me twice. I have thrown 2 pokeballs by now, and I'm getting kinda frustrated because the old man caught a level 5 Weedle back in viridian in one throw, at full Hp. ( that was the pokemon catching tutorial) the Weedle uses poison sting, and sqirtle is poisoned. I groan. I really don't want sqirtle to die. It hits me that I don't have any way to heal this poison on spot due to nuzzlock rules. The pokeball I threw doesent catch. i switch to save Deluge. Mankey comes out. Weedle uses poison sting again, and to my horror, POISONS MANKEY. No joke. I stare at the screen for a bit, not believing that a 10% chance of poisoning move just poisoned twice in a row. I click on scratch, lowering weedles hp. It uses poison sting again. Mankeys Hp is lowered further by the stupid poison. I throw a pokeball and catch the dumb thing. When i exit the battle, i open my party and observe the damage. I look at Mankeys and sqirtles Hp and think of how many steps it will take to get to the pokemon center. It hits me that my team might not make it. ( for you all that never played pokemon before black and white, I need to explain that poison would lower your pokemons hp as you walked. It could actually faint your pokemon in GBA games) I might lose my star players, here and now. The next few minutes consist of me trying to find the shortest route to the viridian pokemon center. My heart is racing as I make calculations and am careful not to misclick. I don't look at my party- it would just add to my anxiety. I make it to the pokemon center fortunately, but just barely- mankey was about to die and sqirtle could have only taken about 13 more steps. With my party intact, i vow to run from every Weedle in that forest. I stow Weedle in the PC- partly as punishment, but also because it would be nice to add a fully evolved pokemon to my team in a pinch, like if one of my good teammates died, Weedle could be raised to level 10 to become a beedrill. I decide I should prepare for a blitz through viridian forest; there's plenty of Weedle-wielding trainers in there.
