Timeskip 9 years:

Izuku POV:

Over these nine years, Ochako and I have become the best of friends. We go almost everywhere and do almost everything together. Being around her just makes me feel like I can do anything, and makes the words from everyone around me feel insignificant. It doesn't matter as long as she's with me. I even started to fall in love with her.

But I won't tell her that. I should let her find her happiness before to find mine. Even if it hurts, she comes before I do.

In the morning:

Today started as I usually start them. I get a wake up text from Ochako (deep blushing)

O: Hey, Izuku. Wakey wakey, handsome

Why does she have to talk like that. I'll get here back. Just because I have a crush on her doesn't mean I can't tease the hell out of her.

I: Hey beautiful. How you doin'?

O: Hahahahahaha. Okay, okay you got me. So are you ready for today?

I: Sure, why not.

I get up and eat breakfast. And I go to meet up with Ochako.

Timeskip to school:

The teacher comes in with a handful of papers,

"Okay, now for your career aptitude tests. Now choose wisely because this is your future. Ah, who am I kidding. You all want to go to U.A. right?"

The whole class starts acting like a bunch of animals and trying to show off their quirks. The only one's remaining calm are me, Ochako and...

"Don't lump me in the rest of these extras teach. I'm the only one who has what it takes to become the number one hero." Kacchan.

"You think you're better than us Bakugou." "Why don't you get off that high horse of yours." "Come on I'll take all of you extras on. I'll get into U.A. and I'll become the richest hero of all time. I'll be even more popular than All Might himself."

Hearing him talk like this is really annoying and gives me a headache.

"Oh, Midoriya, Uraraka. You're going into the hero course too right?" "WHAT!" Everyone yells.

"Yeah, I want to go into the hero course. So what about it?"

"I can see Uraraka becoming a hero, but Midoriya? Maybe we should save the pros some work and put him in jail right now." "Yeah right. Like an arsonist could become a hero."

I start to get  little irritated at that word. Arsonist. Being called that for 11 years has made me hate the word. But I look at Ochako calming smile and I start to calm down.

"DEKU!"

I said started to.

"You really think U.A. would take in someone like you when they could have me?" "Well why not. If they do accept a hotheaded, egotistical jackass like you, then I'd have a pretty good chance too." Ochako started laughing weirdly.

(AN: Like this)

"What did you say to me!" He starts to come at me with his quirk. "Okay that's enough you two. You're still here to learn (AN: It's not like Yu-Gi-Oh where no one gets an education) not fight each other just to prove something. Now sit down."

"You got lucky this time Deku."

"Are you okay Izuku?" Ochako asks me. "Yeah, I'm good. Though I do have a headache."

"Is it an angry Pomeranian?" I try to stifle my laughter the best I can and my face started becoming read.

"Yeah. Oh, are you gonna come over today for quirk training?" "Yeah I'll see you later at, let's say, 5:30?" "Sounds good."

Ever since we were ten, we started to train so we could get into U.A. We switch between who's house we train at. Most of the time we work until we're extremely exhausted. My favorite training day was when we passed out and I woke up with her head on my shoulder. I wish it had lasted forever.

Timeskip after school:

"Alright see you at my place later." "See you Izuku."

I start walking home using a tunnel as a shortcut. I've heard rumors that villains use this tunnel as a way to kidnap people, but I've never believed that and still don't.

"Ah, a meat suit. If I knew he was here I would've been more careful." 

Well I have been wrong before.

"Well I'll just have to use you as a disguise." The slime villain started coming at me. So I lifted my hand at it and lit the fucker on fire.

It started to splatter all over the place and as that happens I see something else at the end of the tunnel.

"Don't worry. Why? Because I am here."

'Holy fucking mother of All Might. IT'S ALL MIIIGHT!"

"Oh I see you've already taken care of him. You used it for self defense, right?" I nod. "Good. Now I'll just apprehend this villain."

"UM. A-a-all M-m-m-m-ight?" "Yes what is it?" "I'm sorry if I'm wasting your time but can you sign my notebook?"

"Why of course. Anything for a fan." I give him my notebook and he reads it. 'I just want the autograph.' "This is very impressive. You know your heroes well. You're going into the hero course aren't you?"

"Y-y-y-yes s-sir. I want to bec-c-come the greatest hero ever."

"HAHAHAHAHA! That's what I like to hear from the new generation of heroes. I look forward to working with you in the future young man. Here's your notebook."

"Thank you All Might." He then jumps away to the police station. I notice the time and I have to hurry since Ochako should be on her way. 'That was awesome. I met All Might and he said he looks forward to working with me. I've got to call Ochako and tell her about this." I select her contact and wait for her to pick up. But it goes to voice mail. 'That's weird. She never let's it go to voice mail. She must be in a different room or something.'

I'm walking home and I start to hear a commotion. My curiosity gets the better of me and I check it out. It looks like a villain attack, but there's something familiar about this villain.

'OH CRAP!'

It's the sludge villain from before. 'How did he escape? No. How did he escape All Might!?'

"I heard that he took a hostage!" I hear someone say.

"A hostage? This'll make things more difficult for the heroes."

I was right they couldn't do anything without endangering the hostage. But then I notice something. About the hostage. They look familiar. I look closer only to see it's...

(AN: Play 'You Say Run')

My body starts moving and I try getting the hostage out. I throw my backpack to try and blind him. I then start clawing at him with my hands set on fire just enough so she doesn't get hurt.

"Izuku what are you doing? Get out of here before you get hurt." "Like hell I'm going to do that. You're my best friend. I couldn't just sit there and watch you die."

Her face started to look red, and I figured it was because of the fire. 

"Dammit kid. I'm gonna make sure you actually die this time." He started to raise his fist, and I cocked my arm back setting it on fire.

"Hell Fire SMAAASHHH."

He then exploded into a hundreds pieces, and I went to check on Ochako.

"Hey. You okay?" "I'm guessing we're not gonna do any training today, huh?" I chuckle slightly at her obvious question.

Timeskip 'cause why not:

After being questioned by the heroes we went on our way home. She starts getting really close to me which causes me to get flustered. "Uhhh. W-w-w-wha-what ar-r-re y-you doing?"

Her face started getting red too. "Sorry I'm just kind of shaken up so I thought I'd stay close to you. You know? To feel safe."

I calm down a little bit. "It's okay. I don't blame you, I'd be a little shaken up too if I was in your situation."

As we start getting closer to our stop, a really skinny blonde man appears.

"Excuse me young man, may I speak to you for a moment?" He doesn't seem like a villain, but I still don't let my guard down.

I tell Ochako to go on without me and that I'll be fine.

"So, what did you want to talk to me about?" I ask still not taking my eyes off of him.

"I wanted to talk to you about that villain attack. I saw how you took down that sludge villain. That was very impressive. But why did you run in like that? It was pretty stupid of you."

"I know. But I wasn't even trying to run in there. My legs just started moving on their own. Once I saw Ochako in there, I couldn't think. I wanted to save her, so I guess my body went on autopilot so I could be a hero, even if it was for a minute. And now that she's safe, I feel accomplished."

The blonde man smiles at me. "That's exactly what I wanted to hear. That's what I expected to hear from the new generation of heroes."

Something clicked in my mind after he said that. 'What I expected to hear from the new generation of heroes? All Might said that earlier today. And his voice. it even sounds like-' "Are you...?"

He then starts to inflate and turns into..."ALL MIGHT?!"

"Yes! It is I. The number one he-"

"AAAAHHHHH! What happened?!"

"It's a long story but the short version is," he lifts his shirt and shows me a scar. I guess I didn't really need that lunch anyway. "I got this from a villain fight 5 years ago. I lost my stomach and half my respiratory organs were destroyed. I can only do hero work for 5 hours a day now. The rest of the time I look like this."

"Well that's...disgusting." He starts laughing at that. "Yeah but it's not like I go showing it around to just everyone. But now to the reason I'm here."

He looks at me dead serious.

I nod at him to continue.

"I'm not invincible, as you saw. I needed to find someone to carry on my legacy. Some say that the greatest heroes in history acted without thought. As if their bodies acted on their own. And today, I saw the makings of that hero."

I then start to think about all the insults and names over the years

"Midoriya?  A hero? More like an arsonist. Hahaha."

"If they let someone like him become hero, they're definitely desperate."

"Remember what you are, Deku! You're just a useless, worthless, pathetic loser!"

Then I hear her voice and start tearing up

"Don'y listen to them. They're just jealous that you have a cool quirk."

"I'll never leave your side. We'll always be best friends. I promise."

"Deku doesn't have to mean useless. It sounds the the word for 'you can do it!'"

I start to tear up more.

"Young man. You too can become a hero."

Those are the words I've always wanted to hear from my idol. I fall to the ground crying.

'Thank you for believing in me mom, All Might. Ochako.'

That's the second chapter. I actually had this one more thought out than the previous chapter, and I wanted to get this one written out. And if anyone is wondering about Midoriya's personality here, he's calm around others, but when around Uraraka, he's either more confident or nervous depending on the situation.
