Story: The Imperfect by perdida_princesa19
Total - 86/100
Cover: 5/10- I appreciated the hand drawn cover, it's beautiful. But it feels like it would belong more with fanfiction vs a romance or teen fiction novel.
Title: 10/10- Even after just reading a few chapter I could already see how the title came into play in both the blurb and story.
Plot: 35/40- The plot is well thought out and character driven. The author gave me a taste of romance by taking a cliche scene and making it their own. It drew me in and made me want to keep reading. Overall, the plot was great but certain scenes skipped around which disrupted the flow.
Characters: 10/10- The characters were well thought out and each had their own personality. I like how the main character (April) had her own problems and I could already tell that she would experience character growth through the help of Dylan and her friends.
Humor: 9/10- This book is a romance so I know that comedy isn't necessarily needed but it is always appreciated. That being sad, it was great that there were a couple parts that made me laugh.
Enjoyment: 17/20- Besides a few grammatical errors, I felt like this book conveyed the human interaction of a romance. The characters were likable and the theme within the story of "no one is perfect", is a fresh take on celebrities and high school romance. It was a great read!
Story: Destined by ilovereading_books1
Total - 83/100
Cover: 5/10
- The sword on the cover fits the fantasy genre, but it is the same cover used by many other writers.
Title: 10/10
- The blurb and first few chapters are perfectly described by the word 'destined'. It's short and implies an adventure, which this story provides.
Plot: 35/40
- The plot moved smoothly along for a short story. I was given clear details and I loved the use of the five senses. Some of the paragraphs were a bit jumbled though and I would like certain sentences to be broken apart.
Characters: 7/10
- Right at the start I was given the main character's name (Sadie) along with her backstory. I was also given good information on the side characters like her mother and grandmother. With Sadie though I felt her character was missing something and I actually enjoyed the other characters more.
Humor: 9/10
- This book is fantasy so I know that comedy isn't necessarily needed but is always appreciated. I can definitely tell that through the use of sarcasm, each chapter is filled with humor.
Enjoyment: 17/20
- I would have liked to see more similes, metaphors, or personification that exemplify this book as fantasy. Other than that, I really enjoyed this book. With flying dragons, humorous sarcasm, and great character backgrounds, this story was worth the read!
Story: Disaster Ever After by Fan_girl_07
Total: 73/100
Cover: 10/10
- I really enjoyed the cover! It is both dramatic and beautiful while also portraying Grabriell's (snow whites) raven black hair and rose red lips.
Title: 10/10
- The title is catchy and easily memorable. To see how the title impacted the rest of the book I skipped to the last chapter and *SPOILERS* it was literally a disaster scene! Flames, death and heartache brought the hero Cedric a tragic and bittersweet ending.
Plot: 28/40
- The plot offered a unique take on fairy tales and 'happily ever afters'. I like how the author combined multiple fairytales into one, but at the same time it felt a bit disjointed. Each chapter was filled with great dialogue but I would have liked more illustration or storytelling because the genre is fantasy.
Characters: 6/10
- I liked both Gabriells and Cedrics kind personalities. I was given an explanation on what the characters looked like along with a brief backstory. My only qualm is that I didn't learn enough about them to relate with them.
Humor: 6/10
- This book is fantasy so I know that comedy isn't necessarily needed but is always appreciated. Through the bantering of Chess and Remington I was able to see their friendly humor.
Enjoyment: 13/20
- There were a few grammar issues and moments where the book would skip around when I wish it would just continue playing out. Other than that, I loved reading a bright imaginative fairy tale with a not-so-happy ever after.
Story: The Celestials by Anna2k04
Total: 55/100
Cover: 6/10
- The cover is a bit blurry and I would like to see more of a 'wow' factor. But, I love the sub title: "I'm more than what you see".
Title: 10/10
- The title is perfect for this book! The entire story is about the Celestials and readers even get to see their POV.
Plot: 25/40
- I loved how each chapter was like a newspapers article with the date, location, and time. Very creative! I also appreciated how the books blurb came into play within the 4th chapter. The biggest thing holding me back plot-wise was that everything was confusing. I knew murders were happening but I was never given more information on what the Celestials were up to. I also wished to see more descriptions of the people, places and setting, as it was overly dialogue heavy.
Characters: 4/10
- I appreciate how the author was able to weave a story with so many characters. I was given their names, but I was never given any backstories and I couldn't relate to any of them.
Humor: 3/10
- From the viewpoint of a teen fiction book I wish I could have seen some humor in the chapters I read. From a mystery standpoint, humor isn't needed unless it lightens a scene.
Enjoyment: 7/20
- Overall the book had fantastic grammar and a great mystery to it! However, I was confused most of the time so it held me back from fully enjoying to story. I would also consider this book to be in the mystery genre or even fiction, not teen fiction.
Well, that was certainly a lot. I hope everyone noticed how all four stories were judged by the exact same person. I'm sorry for that, but thank you judge. Lots of hard work. My eyes also hurt, but let's continue.

Story: Oken Rebirth by mageauteur
Total 61/100
Cover: 9/10
The cover is beautiful, and I really like it. However, it just seems a little busy and it took me a second to find the title, especially because of the transparency of the text. But other than that, I think it was pretty great.
Title: 10/10
The title is very intriguing and got my attention pretty quickly.
Plot: 25/40
I think the plot was really good and well thought out. However, I'm not one for all the exposition. I feel like you could have made this something to learn throughout instead of having it dumped into my lap. Quite frankly, I was struggling to read it. I noticed some grammar mistakes but they didn't bother me as much as the long sentences and paragraphs. Switching between bold and regular really messed with me, too, in the prologue. I honestly couldn't even make it half way through the first chapter, it was just so long and had so many words.
Characters: 9/10
The characters were kind of interesting, but, as I said, I couldn't even make it through the first chapter.
Humor: 0/10
It's a fantasy, which means people probably don't expect humor, but even so, I couldn't find any in what I read.
Enjoyment: 5/20
It seems like a very interesting story, but I didn't enjoy it much because of how hard I found it to read. I definitely think I'd reread it if you edited it, because I'm interested to see how the story continues.
Story: Screams by live_life_with_books
Total 45/100
Cover: 7/10
I like the cover, but I feel like it's just irrelevant to the story.
Title: 10/10
The title is so very relevant. It relates to the story and the plotline, and that's really all a title needs to do.
Plot: 37/40
I love the plot. It's so original and beautiful and I really like it. The story could use editing, though. The chapters were pretty short and I didn't get a lot of information. Like I said, it could use some editing. But overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the story.
Characters: 8/10
The characters were enjoyable. I feel if the chapters were longer and I'd been given more background, I could've truly enjoyed it a lot more.
Humor: 0/10
I didn't see much humor in the story. It probably isn't necessarily needed in this kind of dark toned story, but it is nice to have to cut through the tension.
Enjoyment: 18/20
I enjoyed this story a lot, but it could be better if it was edited and the chapters were extended. But I was happy to read this and very excited when you entered, as you are one of my favorite authors.

Story: The Empress Ascendant by AnalogiesGoneAstray
Total: 72.9/100
Cover: 5/10
It had good graphics and great text, but the main character looked nothing like how she was described.
Title: 10/10
It was interesting enough to make me want to read it, and it fit the story perfectly
Plot: 35/40
It had a very interesting and exciting plot
Characters: 7/10
I only read the first 5 chapters and I though the main character, Sanseta was well developed. However some of the side characters didn't have as much depth
Humor: 4/10
There really wasn't any humor at all, but I don't think it needed any. It's too serious of a plot and theme.
Enjoyment: 18/20
It had the fantasy elements, I enjoy as well as some romance. At first I was afraid that they were going to jump into the Romance way too quickly, but they drew it out nicely.
Excuse my math on the total, it's been awhile since I've done this :/

SHORT STORIES
JUDGE: Xion11418
Story: The Bench by scriviamo-Storie-
Total: 86/100
Cover: 5/10
- The cover literally shows a bench which is perfect for the title of this book but it is a little blurry and could be more eye catching.
Title: 10/10
- The title perfectly represents the story.
Plot: 35/40
- This story represented life, loss, and everything in between. While certain scenes needed to be explained more (Kappamera and his experimenting on Phoebe), I felt the emotion and messages behind the author's words.
Characters: 9/10
- In just two chapters I was able to read about the characters appearances and desires. The story focused on Drakon but I would have liked to better understand his daughter Phoebe and his wife Rhea.
Humor: 9/10
- This short story was made to be bittersweet but even when the family was going through hard times, I thought some of the similes used were charming and funny.
Enjoyment: 18/20
- I loved reading how kind the father was and the little moments he enjoyed with his daughter. I also loved the first paragraph of the first chapter, it immediately catches your attention!
Story: Helpless by BananaZurc
Total: 82/100
Cover: 10/10
- The cover perfectly matches the story and its title.
Title: 10/10
- The title perfectly reflects how the main character or how most hobos would feel in their situation.
Plot: 31/40
- While the story was rather short, I was given great information on the main character and her life living on the streets. I feel like the plot would flow better if the paragraphs were broken up smaller but overall it was a job well done.
Characters: 8/10
- I was able to learn about the main characters background but I was hoping to see a character description of what she looks like and more on how she emotionally/mentally changed by living on the streets.
Humor: 7/10
- This short story is intentionally tragic so having humor would take away from the message the author might be trying to portray. I am giving 7 out of 10 because there isn't humor but I know the author would be able to write it if given the chance.
Enjoyment: 15/20
- I absolutely loved that the author took a topic that most people don't like to think about and made it her own! I liked the short purposeful sentences but I would have liked a big moment where I was wowed and filled with emotion.
Story: The Guide to Being Philophobic by BananaZurc
Total: 90/100
Cover: 10/10
- I loved the cover! The heart shaped noose is perfect for a tragic love story.
Title: 10/10
- After reading this poem/short story I was able to see how the main character could become philophobic.
Plot: 36/40
- This poem was well thought out and rhymed evenly but I felt the author could have used more figurative language. Overall it was very well done. The ending shocked me and tied the entire story together.
Characters: 9/10
- I loved the male leads perspective and how his pov tied the story together. I was able to see the female leads emotions but was never given any other information.
Humor: 7/10
- This poem is bittersweet so I know that comedy isn't necessarily needed. I can tell that the author would rise to the challenge though.
Enjoyment: 18/20
- While I wish there was more explanation, the poem was beautiful and heart-rending!
I hope you will also notice that all the short stories was judged by exact same person as well. Thank you for all your hard work, judge!
