Adam Kingsley, Captain of the football team

Here's a new chapter for y'all! I'm so excited because this books already gotten 72 views and that's more than my most viewed book, I Spy (which I most likely won't finish) unless I make a LOT of edits. I'm trying to put a lot more effort into this book, like I even made a cast list which is down at the bottom of you want to check it out. So enough rambling, this chapter is dedicated to C_Fraser they have helped me so much with writing my entire life, and I probably wouldn't be writing today if it wasn't for them❤️ above I also included a picture of Sierra Jensen, who is played by Sasha Pieterse. I also included the song Wildflowers by Tom Petty which is one of my favorite songs, and it reminds me a lot of the part of Wynn (however small) that is a hippie. Now I promised I'd stop rambling so here's the next chapter!

It had been a week since I'd stamped on Adam's foot and left him standing there. It bugged me because he was all anyone would talk to now, if it wasn't Damien Zales talking about how he'd ratted on him to the principal about smoking weed in school, it was Tora Azurly yelling about how he'd 'accidentally' spilled his Dr. Pepper all over her depressing poetry for her poetry slam that night. Yep, people had things to say about Adam Kingsley, and they weren't good.

Apparently I wasn't the only one with anger towards Adam, everyone in school seemed to hate him.

I was at my lunch table with Ophelia listening to her rant about how Adam had tripped on her table in art class and knocked over her wet painting, ruining it. When Sierra walked over and 'tripped' spilling her cranberry juice all over me.

Sound familiar?

Yeah her and Adam seemed like a match made in heaven.

I scowled. I resisted the urge to smack Sierra across her face. I swear I'm not a violent person but I really, really hated her.

Instead what I said made me die a little inside. "Now, now Sierra, why can't we just be friends? What's the point in all this. We'd all get along much better if we were peaceful." I gave her my best wistful smile and made sure to keep my voice airy.

She snickered. "Peace man." Sierra held up two fingers for a peace sign and used her best old hippie voice. A few of her irrelevants let out cold metallic snickers. It was an unsettling sound.

She walked away, clearly not in the mood for a fight. I breathed a sigh of relief, it was because she was stopped teasing me, but not in the way you think. I want her to stay away because one of the days I'm going to snap and the real girl would show through. I'd introduce her to Wynn Noble.

Ophelia was frozen, fork in hand. She really hated conflict.

I sighed. "Just eat Ophelia." I said quietly. I took a bite of my salad. This was a terrible choice, though there's not much options here. Everything either tasted like old socks or was a year old. There was no in between. This salad seemed to fall under the 'year old' category and was brown and warm. I threw my fork in it and leaned back in my chair. Ophelia kept eating, though I'm not sure how.

Just then there was a loud banging and I heard a lot of yelling coming down the hall. I jumped slightly in my seat, it was much louder than the usual chatter of the cafeteria.

Brian McMan, the school's star athlete, and most popular boy in school was wailing so loud you'd think he'd stubbed his toe on a coffee table or something.

He was flanked by a trail of irrelevants that were made to look like high school football players. They played on the team with him, though he was the star quarter back, and captain. He was yelling something incoherent, but I did manage to catch one word: Kingsley

''What has he done this time?' I thought to myself. Brian was usually pretty relaxed, in fact he was always relaxed, but here he was yelling so loudly you'd think his throat would burst.

Brian had now taken it upon himself to search every table for Adam. His normally milky completion was red, and some of his sandy colored hair stuck to his back in sweat.

He looked a bit insane to put it lightly.

Brian had now stopped at our table, and even though it was clearly just me and Ophelia he still looked under the table and every other place you'd think he'd never be.

Brian let out a frustrated cry. "Where is he!" He yelled, going back to his irrelevants. They just shook there heads. I don't think it's possible for a robot to be scared but these irrelevants came the closest you could to it.

Then, right on time came the man of the hour, Adam Kingsley.

He was dressed in a wrinkled button up, a pair of worn dark jeans and his old black leather jacket. His hair was messed to perfection and he had a relaxed smirk on his face, like he had no care in the world even though the schools buffest guy had it out for him. Though I still had no idea why.

"You" Brian seethed, walking up to Adam. I have to give Adam some credit, he didn't even flinch and kept the same relaxed smirk on his face. That seemed to tick Brian off even more.

"Yes me." Adam said, not even breaking a sweat. There were speaking at a normal register, but all conversation in the cafeteria had ceased. When they stopped speaking you could hear a pin drop.

"Shut up smart-ass, here's what your going to do. Your going to tell coach you made a mistake, that your injured, that your scared, anything works for me. As long as you quit." Brian snarled.

Adam let out a chuckle. "Is that so?" He asked, how he managed to stay slouched back and relaxed through all of this was beyond me.

"Yes." Brian said, he didn't add anything else, maybe because he wasn't smart enough to come up with a good comeback. That's one of the things that came with being the Allstar, you weren't particularly smart.

Adam just shook his head, amused. "Look, whatever your name is, you probably shouldn't be speaking to me like this. I am the captain of the football team, and your superior." Adam emphasized the word captain and superior.

The entire cafeteria let out a collective gasp, myself included.

Brian McMan had been captain of the team since we started here. It was his role as the Allstar. It was just who he was.

Brian turned bright red, he stepped closer to Adam.

Adam kept his cocky smirk. "Looks like your out Brent, see you on the fie-" Adam didn't get another word in before Brian was on him. He punched him in the face, and hit his cheek. Adam didn't flinch. He brought up his fist and punched Brian in the jaw. It gave a sickening crack. Brian fell back, and groaned. A few of his irrelevants gathered around him to help. Adam stepped away from the scene. There was a red mark on his face from where Brian had hit him, but other than that he looked fine.

There was a split second where I saw some emotion in his eyes. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who saw it though because the rest of the school was angrily getting to there feet. Adam wasn't stupid, reckless sure but not stupid and he could see this was not going to end well for him. So he backed away, but not before seeing me.

"Hopefully I'll see you at one of my games Kai." Adam winked at me. He may have been a jerk but he was a cute jerk so I couldn't help but blush. Adam just laughed when he noticed. Not one of those cocky fake laughs, but a real one. It sounded melodic and I kind of wanted to here it again.

"See you around Hippie." He added with a smirk before turning around and promptly walking out.

A/N: Another Chapter done! This one was so fun to write, and I can't wait to write more! I promise there will be drama, and maybe some more Wydam;) I'll update soon!
