Miya heard gunshots as the zombies grip on her loosened. Maya looked up and saw the figure standing under the street light.
'Are you all right?' asked the stranger.

'Yeah, I'm fine.'replied Maya.

As he stepped closer she could see his face, he did not look much older than her.

'Thanks, but who are you?' asked Maya.

'My names Daniel, I'm 14, what about you?' asked Daniel.

'My names Maya, I'm 13.' replied Miya.

Daniel reached over to grab Miya's hand to help her up.

'What are you doing out here?' questioned Maya.

'I'm heading towards the city centre.' Daniel said

'Why would you do that?,it is full of zombies.' asked Maya

'It's the only place i can stop the spread of the infection before it reaches other places."replied Daniel.

''How do you know this?''Miya asked.

''I have studied the zombies and why would they protect something if it had no big purpose.'' Daniel replied

Daniel started walking towards the city centre, he turned around and asked Miya

'Are you coming?'Daniel asked turning around.

''Why would i go with you?'' Miya asked

''Because i looks like you don't have anything better to do'' Daniel smirked

'If we do go we will die' replied Miya.

' isn't that all part of the adventure?' Daniel questioned.

'Let's go' Miya sighed.

Maya ran to catch up with Daniel and they both comtinued towards the city centre.
