Introduction

I enjoy learning about various pieces of lost media, whether it's films such as "London After Midnight" starring legendary silent film actor Lon Chaney Snr (The father of the Wolfman himself, Lon Chaney Jr) or lost video games such as "Sonic Extreme" for the Sega Saturn; its a fun hobby when take into consideration on how much media is actually unavailable to the public. But lost anime is the most interesting to me, mainly since anime goes back to at least the early 1930's, but didn't really get popular until 1963 with "Astro Boy". But recently, a video by retro anime connoisseur "Kenny Lauderdale" on Youtube caught my attention about an anime vinyl he found regarding an anime from the mid 1980's named "Kamen Senshi Lavithunder"; the only problem is that this series was never released and is now considered lost media. (You can find that video above this chapter by the way)

If that's the case, then how did the vinyl get released if the series itself never did? And is there any other evidence of the anime's existence? is there any images or production notes regarding the story of this series? That's exactly what this book is for; where we will examine anything regarding this mysterious anime and figuring out the anime's plot and why is never got released in the first place! Strap yourself in, this is going to be very fun!
