Kay, with that out of the way, enjoy the reboot!

---------

Hi, how are you? Huh? Me? I'm Kari Himura and I'm just your average girl. Kinda. I'm about twelve, even though I look like I'm ten, and I am going into the tenth grade after summer, I'm not looking forward to that. Before you freak out, yes I'm twelve and going into the tenth grade. I'm pretty smart for my age, obviously. Also, I live on my own, I have for almost my whole life, and I have a part time job to earn money. I haven't shown my real smile for who know's how long? I still smile but those aren't genuine, as well as my fake laughs. Whatever, uh, I'm on my way to the store now because I'm almost out of food. See ya later I guess.

----------

Kari walked through the crowd and looked around. Her face was hidden by the black hoodie she wore, it was unzipped to show her shirt, which was a midday sky blue color with a silver waning crescent moon on the front.

Kari then entered the grocery store and bought some food for herself. She eventually began to walk home with a sigh. The wind was much stronger now and it messed with her hoodie as well as her silver ninja scarf which dragged on the ground slightly, her midday sky blue t-shirt with a silver waning crescent moon on the front, and her blue jean shorts that were slightly below her knees.

Kari then stood in front of an old abandoned shack that she called home for a moment then sighed and entered it. She put up her food then took off her hoodie to show an army green cap, silver rimmed goggles with slightly tinted lenses. She took off her cap and goggles then did the same with her blue fingerless biking gloves which had silver lining. Once her gloves were off it revealed a silver waning crescent moon symbol on the back and palm of her left hand, there were two more on her right hand too in the same spots but they were hidden by the white bandages that went from her fingertips to her shoulder blade. Kari also had the same symbol on her back, torso, forehead, and tops and bottoms of her feet. Kari's feet were wrapped in bandages as well since she did not like shoes and rarely wore them. Kari sighed and looked around with her blood red eyes that were cat-like in shape. Her hair was pure white and pulled up in a ponytail that spiked out in different directions and had two longer bangs that went down to about chin length and were tied in silver ribbon. Her hair and pale-ish skin shimmered lightly in the light of the dim lamp to the far left of the room.

The girl blinked and looked at her things for a moment while smiling at herself. She grabbed a bowl of salmon flavored ramen and prepared it for dinner then ate it happily.

Once dinner was done Kari went out for a walk after putting her hoodie, cap, goggles and gloves back on, taking her skateboard with her to roll around for a while. Her skateboard had a bottom similar looking to her shirt, except the blue was a little darker. The wheels were silver in color. The wheels usually gave a shining effect as she rolled along in the sun, but this time they did not shine since it was sundown. Soon she arrived in a park and looked at the trees that had flowers budding in clusters. She smiled and closed her eyes then hummed to herself as she sat under a random tree. After a moment of humming Kari stood up with a sigh and went home. It was night time as Kari went home. The moon was full and bright and the sky and little to no clouds.

"... Full moon.." Kari said with a sigh. "It's nice to see." Kari gave a shy smile. "Heh... " As Kari kept heading towards home a few voices called to her.

"Hey!" Kari shivered. "It's Kari!"

"Hah! I was wondering when we'd run into her!" Kari gulped. It was the group that always bullied her. They had seen her appearance a long time ago and have constantly been beating her up and picking on her ever since because she was different. Kari began to flee, not wanting to get hurt again.

"After her!" Kari heard as she picked up speed.

... Left...

A voice echoed in the back of Kari's mind. Kari did as she was told.

... Right...

Kari did as she was told. Eventually she was surrounded by trees and she was clueless about where she was. The girl looked around and began to get a little worried. Soon the moonlight seemed to form a path.

... Follow... The path....

The girl shivered and hesitantly followed the path of moonlight. Soon everything was dark except for the shimmering path that was in front of Kari. Soon Kari came across a strange clearing with a circle on the ground with strange symbols and writing. There was an old sign that had been worn away by time and was unable to be read. Kari just started, noticing the path went to the center of the circle. The girl gulped then went to the center of the circle. The path vanished and turned into silver ash that blew away, resembling fireflies in a way. The circle, symbols, and writing began to glow and Kari was enveloped in a bright blue light. Kari soon collapsed on the ground and blacked out from a weird power that made her head hurt.

----------

When Kari woke up it was morning. The girl looked around and felt like something was off. She stood up and saw that the once worn out sign was as good as new. She approached the wooden sign and went to the side that had words and began to read it out loud.

"Circle of mystery. Warning, all who enter disappear." Kari blinked a few times. "Circle of mystery? Huh... Weird..." She sighed and grabbed her skateboard and put it under her right arm then put her left hand in her hoodie pocket and finally turned to walk away, being sure to keep her face hidden. "Gotta get home and eat, I'm kinda hungry. Must be past breakfast." Kari hummed to herself in thought. She walked on for a while then came across a woman in an old kimono. Kari just thought she was cosplaying or something for the festival that was in town so she approached her. "E-Excuse me miss." Kari began to speak shyly since she was not very used to talking to anyone other than herself.

"Ye-- AAAHHH!" Kari jumped back in shock at the woman's sudden scream. Kari began to tremble in fear and whimper. The woman stared for a moment and looked at Kari. "Wait... Are... Are you from the present?"

"Huh?"

"You know, the present. With weird clothes and these things called bi-cycles or something." Kari just stared for a moment. Was this woman loony or did Kari hit her head?

"Uh... Y-Yes..?" Kari stammered, not sure if this was the correct answer. The woman gasped happily.

"Then you must know Kagome Higurashi! Oh come with me, Kaede's village is this way. Follow me, please." The woman smiled and led Kari towards a small village that looked like it was ripped out of a history book about feudal Japan. The woman led Kari to a small hut near a red arch that was in front of some stone stairs. "Priestess Kaede? Is Kagome with you?" She asked.

"Yes, I'm here. Kaede is out in the fields right now." A teenage voice called. Soon a girl who looked about sixteen with long black hair, fair skin, big brown eyes, and wearing a nice yellow button up sweater with a medium length blue skirt with black shoes stepped out of the hut. Upon seeing Kari she gasped. "Did you come from Tokyo?" She asked. "I mean, modern day?" Kari nodded in reply. The girl smiled. "My name is Kagome Higurashi, nice to meet you."

"I-I'm Kari Himura."

"You must be kinda scared and confused. Don't worry, I'll help you understand." Kagome said in a soothing voice. Kari nodded slowly in reply while Kagome explained the situation.

"So... This is feudal Japan..." Kari stated plainly. Kagome nodded.

"Yeah, I know. It's a lot to take in." She said, understanding if Kari began to freak out. Kari just took a deep breath.

"Y-Yeh..." Kari mumbled.

"Hey, don't worry about it. We'll just go through the Bone Eater's Well and you'll be home in no time." Kagome smiled. Kari tilted her head.

"Well? What Well?" Kari asked and Kagome laughed nervously.

"Uh, it's a sacred Well that connects feudal Japan to modern Japan. I go through it all the time." She sighed.

"Hey! Kagome!" A voice called. Soon a boy who looked about thirteen years old walked in. He had a bushy fox tail, fox legs, and pointy ears. He wore a blue kimono with a furry orange vest. His skin was fair, his eyes were green, and his hair was auburn. "Kagome! I found a really cool flower! I thought you'd like it." He looked happy. The teen boy then noticed Kari and blinked. "Who's this?" He asked.

"This is Kari Himura. She's from my era. She somehow ended up here and I'm gonna help her get back home." Kagome smiled. "Kari, this is Shippo. He's a fox demon."

"Hiya, nice to meet you Kari." Shippo smiled, his tail swishing a little. The twelve year old just waved shyly in reply.

"I think she's shy." Kagome chuckled. "Shippo, you mind showing Kari around? Maybe introduce her to the others? I'm kinda busy at the moment." Kagome said nervously. Shippo gasped happily and nodded.

"Sure! Come on Kari." Shippo sounded happy. Kari hesitantly followed the fox, glancing back at Kagome as she left the hut.

"So, there is the medicine shop, that's one of the food markets, and here is the inn. Oh, there are the fields where the farmers grow their crops." Shippo chuckled and looked down at Kari. She was about three feet two inches tall while he was about four feet five inches tall. "Inuyasha might be near by chopping some firewood." Shippo shrugged.

Pretty soon the two came across a person in a red kimono with long silver hair, dog ears, and golden eyes. He was holding a large sword that he was using to chop some wood. Shippo smiled. "There's Inuyasha." Kari stared. "He's a half demon dog."

"Huh? Oh, hey Shippo. Who's your friend?" Inuyasha asked, resting his sword on his shoulder.

"This is Kari Himura." The fox demon said. "She's from Kagome's era."

"Oh, well, uh Hi." Inuyasha said plainly with a wave. Kari nodded and waved back.

"Next up is Sango, Kirara, and Miroku." Shippo said and began to walk off with Kari close behind. "By that time Kaede should be back from the fields." Kari nodded.

Time passed and it was now time for lunch. Kari had met Sango, Kirara, and Miroku. The monk had asked Kari to bear his son which resulted in him getting smacked by Sango's weapon, the hiraikotsu, and Kari to freeze in shock. Now Kari was in the hut with Kagome, helping her with lunch along with Shippo. Inuyasha had just gotten back from chopping wood and Miroku, Sango and Kirara had returned from shopping.

"So, how was meeting everyone else?" Kagome asked happily.

"... Uh..." Kari gulped and shrugged. Kagome chuckled.

"Hey, it's alright. You don't have to get attached. I just thought it'd take up some time so I could finish up helping Kaede." Kagome sighed. "We'll go to the Bone Eater's well after lunch. I'll take you there. I need to go back to my time as well to grab some stuff." Kagome said. Kari blinked.

"But... I arrived here when I stepped on a weird circle. I don't think the well will work." Kari murmured. "The sign said "Circle of mystery. Warning, all who enter disappear." So Y-yeh..." Kari informed and Kagome looked at her then hummed.

"Maybe going back to it will take you back to our time." Kagome said with a thoughtful hum. "Well, I'll go with you. We could talk along the way. I mean, I know we just met and all but we can still be friends." The teen girl smiled happily. Kari just nodded. Soon it was lunch time and everyone was eating.

About halfway through lunch an old woman walked into the hut. Her hair was pulled up into a long ponytail and her right eye had an eye patch. The woman wore a white kimono top with red kimono pants. Kari stared at her for a moment then Kagome spoke up.

"Oh, hello Kaede." She greeted. "I finished all the chores for the day."

"Thank you, Kagome." The old woman smiled then looked at Kari. "And who is this?" She asked kindly. Kari shivered a bit.

"Oh, this is Kari. She came from my time." Kagome informed and Kaede blinked in shock a few times.

"Did she come through the Bone Eater's well?"

"No, she came through the Circle of mystery. I've never heard of that though." Kagome shrugged. Kaede approached Kari and sighed.

"Tell me, what is your full name." She said kindly.

"Kari Kana Lee Himura." Kari murmured. The old priestess just nodded.

"Hmmm... Thank you, child." She replied. Everyone grew confused at Kaede's behavior. Did she know something they did not? Regardless, they let it be and resumed eating.

After lunch Kari grabbed her things and she and Kagome walked to the Circle of mystery so Kari could go back home. While they walked Kagome gave Kari her address and phone number so they could get together sometime.

"Maybe we could hang out sometimes. I might be here, in the feudal era, most of the summer though. I kinda have to put sacred jewel back together." Kari looked up at Kagome.

"Sacred... Jewel?" She asked out of confusion. Kagome nodded.

"Yes. It's a very powerful jewel that is sought out by demons and humans alike. I shattered it a while ago... Heh... My bad." The teen girl chuckled nervously. Kari just shrugged. The two soon arrived at the Circle of mystery and Kari looked at Kagome.

"Uh... So see you later?" She asked. Kagome nodded.

"Maybe you'll show me what you look like back home? If you want to." The girl smiled kindly. She really wanted to see what Kari looked like, but she did not want to be rude. Kari shrugged and stepped in the circle. With in an instant she was gone. Kagome sighed and headed back to the village.

----------

Soon Kari was back in Tokyo. She blinked and looked around. It was the same nature preserve as the night she left. The same worn down sign and the same scenery. Kari sighed and walked home. That night Kari heard a voice. The same one from the night before.

... Go back...

"Huh?"

... It is to be...

"Who are you..?" Kari looked around. Nothing but the walls of her old run down home and her things she collected over the years.

...Go back...

"Okay this is r-reeeeaally weird..." Kari gulped and began to shiver. "I'm probably just hallucinating... Y-yeah... Just hallucinating.... Maybe sleeping will help." Kari said then changed into her black and gold striped pajamas and curled under her covers.

...It is to be...

The voice called. Kari shivered and whimpered for an hour or two until she fell asleep.
