6 | you never forget
6 YEARS LATER...
"Are you ready babe?" I ask my fiancé Tyler.
"Yea, let me just go get my phone. I think I left it upstairs." He says running upstairs.
"Are you ready sweetie?" I ask my five-year-old daughter Ariella.
"Yea!" She says excitedly as I bend down to her height to fix her shirt.
"Are you excited to see grandma and uncle Kai?" I ask.
"Yea! Can we go to the park when we get there? Please?!" She asks with a pout.
"Sure baby, why don't you ask daddy if he wants to go with us?" I ask, and her eyes brighten.
"Okay, mommy!" She says as Tyler comes back downstairs and walks over to us.
"Now I'm ready." He says kissing my lips.
"Daddy! Daddy!" I hear Ariella say next to us.
"Yea cupcake?" He asks.
"Will you go to the park with mommy and me when we get there?" She asks with her puppy dog eyes that get us every time.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world." He says smiling as he kisses her forehead.
"Yay!"
"Are you ready babe?" He asks me.
"I am, let's get going because we don't want to miss our flight," I say as he picks up Ariella and we walk out of our old house.
We get Ariella into her car seat and put all of our luggage in the trunk before getting into the car and driving to the Airport.
On our way there, all I could think about was how Rosewood was when I left. I wonder how much it has changed.
It's been six years since I left home. I still remember everything that happened there too.
I sometimes think of Ryder because he was my first love and just like people say, you never forget your first love.
I tried to forget about him, but it was hard. Especially since I had a daily reminder of him.
Whenever I see Ariella, she reminds me so much of Ryder. She is a female replica of Ryder.
She looks nothing like me, and some people actually thought she was adopted. I love her so much, and she is my world.
I used to wish that I never met Ryder, but then I realized that I never would've had Ariella if I didn't.
When I first left and moved to New York, I wasn't in the best place. I was depressed and pregnant, so my emotions were all over the place.
The day I left, is the day I met Tyler. He was the person who sat next to me on the plane, and we instantly became best friends.
We saw each other more often than we thought because he ended up being my neighbor in the apartment complex we lived in.
He helped me through my pregnancy and was always there for me when I needed him. When I was depressed because of Ryder, he made me happy again.
I told him everything about me and what happened when I lived in Rosewood. I thought he would think differently of me, but he didn't because he was into the same stuff as me.
We were best friends for one year before we developed feelings for each other and started dating. Then on our four year anniversary, he proposed to me, and there was no way that I could say no.
I love him so much. He's helped me all these years with everything, and he was even there for me when I gave birth to Ariella.
He helped me raise her and became her father figure which is why she calls him dad. He is her dad even if not by blood, and he will be legally, once we get married.
Tyler helped me get back into street fighting after I had Ariella and he would sometimes help me watch her.
Every time Tyler and I practiced with each other we got really competitive on who could beat the other, and he never won. I think I may have damaged part of his huge ego.
Ariella will be starting kindergarten when we get to Rosewood because she's five now.
I loved living in New York, but I'm happy to be going back to my hometown. I miss all of my friends and family so much.
I haven't gone to see anyone because I wasn't ready to go back, so some of my friends and family came to see me.
Last time I saw my mom and Kai, I found out that Kai got a girlfriend. He's thirteen now and looks so big. I miss my little seven-year-old brother.
I recently talked to a bunch of my friends telling them that I'm moving back and that I'm going to be planning my wedding.
Also, I talked to Kendall, and he told me that his cancer went into remission again. I'm so glad because his cancer came back about a year ago, but now it's back in remission.
I was so busy in my thoughts that I didn't even realize we got to the airport. "We're here" I heard Tyler say snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Do you want to get the luggage while I get Ariella?" I ask as we open our doors.
"Sure." He says smiling before getting out.
Once I get out of the car, I go to the back and get Ariella out of her car seat. "Ready to go on a plane baby?" I ask as I pick her up.
"I'm tired mommy." She says yawning as she puts her head on my shoulder.
"Ok sweetie, take a nap," I say, and I feel her nod.
I close her door and walk to Tyler as he finishes getting the luggage out. "Ready babe?" He asked with a smile.
"I'm ready."
