Chapter 4

As the week passed by, Danny began to have a strange feeling. It was the same feeling he had before he even knew of the Disasteriod. When Dan and Pariah Dark attacked. The feeling of Schist is about to go down. You know that feeling? Yeah? Then you should know that it's not a good feeling. Good. I didn't feel like explaining more.

As Danny walked into his English class with Lancer on Monday on time for once, he nodded his head to Mr. Lancer in acknowledgment. As nice as it was that his teacher knew his secret, Lancer was starting to revert back to his old ways when it comes to Danny. Sure he wouldn't give Danny detention (Detention and ghost hunting? No.), and the jocks weren't being babied by Lancer at least. Though the homework wasn't getting any easier like it had the first week, or harder like years before, and Danny expected this so everyone was treated equally, he did miss it. That must of been how the jocks felt before he sluggishly thought. The class progressed on once everyone had arrived, and silent class work soon followed.

The feeling had kept him up all night, and there wasn't even a ghost attack to keep his mind off of the trip. Where's the Box Ghost when you actually need him? The Box Ghost had become somewhat of a friend to Danny. Yes, he still likes to attack Amity Park now and then, he screams out beware the Box Ghost and yada yada, but otherwise he wasn't really a bad guy now. They actually even hung out sometimes. They fought only because Boxy liked to test his strength. And recently, he's had a bit of an eye for the Lunch Lady. Danny's even been giving him love advice!

Ask and you shall receive some ghost trying to destroy your city Danny thought as a blue wisp flew threw his lips. If it's Boxy again, I will take away his favorite cube for interrupting me in school. "Mr. Lancer?" Danny raised his hand, hoping his teacher would see the problem in his eyes. The teacher looked up from his book and saw the ghost boy's worry displayed on his face and feet positioned to run. He sighed and said to his student, "Go ahead Daniel, leave your work on your desk."

Good thing I finished early.

------------------

Running away from the restrooms and instead to the football field outside, Danny looked around before yelling out his catch phrase(makes me laugh just thinking of it. Gotta love Danny.) and transforming into his alter ego. Flying up above his school, he tried taunting the ghost out of hiding. "UGLY OH UGLY! WHERE ART THOU UGLY?"

"I'm not ugly, Dipstick! I'm a star!" A familiar voice yelled back. Danny rolled his eyes before finally seeing his favorite ghost ever (The sarcasm!). It was someone you remember. Trust me, you remember her name. Yeah? Yeah, you remember it. It was Ember! Yay jazz hands and stuff!

"If it isn't flame face!" Said Danny, trying to pour as much annoyance into his voice as possible.

"You know you love me!"

"Do I? Do I really?"

"Oh come on! Is that anyway to treat the greatest rock star of all time?" Ember said, smirking. Danny looked to her in defeat, not feeling in the mood to continue the petty fight. Noticing Danny's lack of Danny-ness, Ember soon became confused, the emotion evident in her face, her eyebrows scrunched up and mouth in a pout. "Danny? If it's about the whole greatest rock star thing, I'm sure you're a close second!"

Danny smiled at Ember's version of comfort. "I'm fine Ember. I just have a bad feeling and thought that you were the cause when my ghost sense went off."

Raising an eyebrow, Ember responded with the ever famous, "Really? Is that it?"

"What did you expect?"

"I don't know! Something cool! I guess... Wanna go to a concert on the other side of the world?"

"I'm going back to class!"

"Can't we at least have an epic battle to the coma?"(they can't die so....)

"Bye Ember," Danny said, floating back to the ground, realizing the author was going to toy with him and the readers until the next chapter. Sorry fourth wall. You were nice while you were up.

--------------------

"I'm telling you! I have a very bad feeling about this!" Insisted Danny, trying but failing to make his point to his teacher and friends. It was Thursday, and the field trip would begin tomorrow. Lancer had allowed the trio to pack and make sure everything was ready for the trip while he graded papers. Danny's parents asked the teens to temporarily stay out of the house while they experimented on something that would 'keep the students safe from the bad ghosts'. He didn't feel like seeing what could blow up the lab this time. Sam's parents didn't want Danny and Tucker over while some other rich, snobby person was there.

"Maybe it's the feeling that you should start your homework before I give you more," Lancer replied, having a very hard time focusing on the test in front of him.

"we don't have homework tonight, since the trip would keep us from turning it in until next week."

"This is still my classroom, and I'm still you're teacher, right?"

"..."

"Exactly."

Quieting his voice down to a more appropriate level, Danny continued to annoy his friends with his thoughts of evil arising. He started waving his hands around, hoping his friends that were more focused on the food in front of them would notice him. He waved them so frantically, that he hit Tucker's soda all the way to the other side of the room, causing it to spill all over the room making everyone drown in Diet Coke and Dany became a full ghost.

The end.

Just kidding. They didn't drown. The author was just super sleep deprived and doesn't feel like supporting the fourth wall. So now she's just trying to fix her mistakes and make a better chapter than the last ones, hoping that someone will comment because she can see that there are silent readers. She knows there are at least twenty people reading this. She knows you're there. She's always watching.........(please comment I get so lonely)

ANYWAY!

Lancer looked up at the sound of the plastic cup hitting the ground and saw the dark liquid starting to drip from the straw since the lid stayed on. Sending a small glare Danny's way, the ghost boy rushed to phase the soda through the floor, leaving the tile once again spotless. Rolling his eyes, the teacher sent back to work, and the boy went back to ranting.

"Danny! Everything will be fine! Let me finish my salad please!" Hissed Sam though grinding teeth. Was it so much to ask for eating a salad in peace. Sam looked to Tucker, hoping he would defend her side.

"She's right, dude" Tucker said, soon followed by a mumbled I'm always right. Rolling his eyes before continuing, Tucker looked away from his Meaty Patty(or whatever he eats at the Nasty Burger) to look his friend dead in the eyes. "If there is something wrong, then you should calm down. You won't be able to stop whatever is making you crazy when your head is flying off your shoulders."

Checking that his head didn't actually disconnect from his body again (long story), Danny sighed before floating up and onto his back. "Maybe you guys are right... Hey I'm not crazy! This is serious! I'm being serious! Guys, you're not listening to me!"

"Trust me, Danny, we're listening," Sam said, giving the black haired teen a tired look. "We know you're nervous for something. We'll deal with it like we always have. Together. So for now, come back down and have a fry."

"Can I really have a fry?" Asked Danny with hope in his eyes. Sam wasn't one to share her fries.

"No. These fries are mine. Take some of Tucker's."

"... Good enough for me."

The rest of the night was filled with no worrying, homework threats, laughs, and complaining of someone getting their own fries.

------------

The next day, Danny was sitting in the living room, waiting for any last minute students that were arriving at the Fenton household. While he was lost in thought, thinking of what might occur these next few days, a certain bully was sneaking up on his victim. Dash was thinking of the resulting humiliation the boy on the couch would get by wailing on him in his own house. Unfortunately for the idiot, a certain teacher saw what was going to happen to the ghost boy. Mr. Lancer walked over and put a hand on the blonde's shoulder, saying, "It's still not too late to make you go back to the school, where you can do more school work while everyone's off exploring."

Sneering, Dash walked away and Lancer sat down next to Danny on the couch. The ghost boy didn't notice the teacher's presence, to deep in thought to realize his surroundings. Seeing his student in his dazed state, the teacher decided to speak up. "Daniel, if you're still worried about the trip, everything will be fine."

Not expecting the sudden sound directed at him, Danny jumped in his seat before registering what the older male said. Danny sighed, now out of his started faze, and leaned back into the pillows behind him. It showed how tired he really was from staying up again, worried for the trip. This time, he was worried for more than just the dangers this trip possessed. He was worried for his secret. "I'm know that everyone will will be fine, but I still have a feeling that something happen will happen."

"What kind of thing?"

"I'm not sure. Something really dark, definitely an old enemy, but I don't know who. Then there's the case of my secret."

"Why do you worry so much over your secret? It seems to cause more pain by your lying to others that care about you."

"Well, most of the ghost zone already know who I am, but the people here? The human world? They could use my family against me. That's if my parents accept me first!"

Mr. Lancer raised his eyebrow, thinking how Danny could think that. Yes there might be people that might try to destroy him thorough his family, but that could happen to everyone. To think that his parents wouldn't accept him though, that was what confused the teacher. "Why wouldn't they accept you? They've accepted Phantom and that there are good ghosts!"

"But do they know that Phantom is actually half human? Do they know that he needs to sleep and eat a-and be human?"

"They know that Danny Fenton is their son, and that's all they should care about," the teacher said before walking off to where Mrs. Fenton was calling for the class to come down into the lab. Sam and Tucker walked over to Danny from where they had been standing, checking that they had everything since their ghostly friend was thinking of what was to come.

A few minutes later, the class, teacher, and Fenton parents were in a modified version of the Specter Speeder. As the class awed at the green abyss, and the trio pretended to prevent suspicion, a ghost boy thought of everything that could go wrong.

----------------

Hey look at that! They're in the zone finally! Yay! Sorry about that weird little part in the middle, I was bored and tired while writing that part... and I was to lazy to take it out... Okay. So I'm starting school(actually started yesterday, but details!) and updates won't be everyday. Just warning ya.

SO LONG MY CHICKEN ARMY
YOUR LEADER,

-Bella
