Filling The Gaps Of Our Past(Part 2)

Springtrap's Pov:

Springtrap's Dream:

I woke up and I was in an empty space, but there was tv screens everywhere, but there was one big screen in the middle of them all.

What is this place?

"Springy?! How they hell are you here?!"

I quickly turned around to see another bunny. He looked familiar...

Where have I seen him?
"Why do you look so familiar" I asked ignoring his question.

He seems to have settled down a bit but I could feel that he still had some tension.

"I-ummm"
Was all the bunny was able to say before turning around.
I inspected him a bit more to see if I can pinpoint why he looked familiar.

Then it clicked.
"Wait! Your the one that I saw Freddy propose to."
He turned around blushing a bit but growling a little.

"So Freddy showed you as well, right?"

I suppose he was mentioning the memory of us in the future so I nodded.

He turned back and sighed.
"Do you think it's....real?"
He looked a bit hurt and doubtful. I couldn't help but feel the same way.

"I honestly don't know..." I said feeling somewhat sad myself.

"I want to believe it's true but it all seems so unreal that all we can do is believe."

Looking at the bunny who has his ears flopped down sitting on the ground.

I sat next to him and hugged him. It looks like he needs someone to talk to and I'd be happy to be that someone.

He flinched at me hugging him but soon hugged back.
"Thanks Springy"

I had one thing that I have wondered about this bunny.

"So who are you?" I asked looking at him.

"Well umm. How do I explain this? I am a different person but somehow we both control your body."

I don't know if I heard that correctly but WHAT?!

"Let me explain. Whenever you get hurt badly or your emotionally unstable, I believe you black out and we end up switching places where I take control over your body for a while until you are safe."

That would explain why I would be near death and somehow wake up fine...

"That explains a lot..."

I started to look down and we had an awkward silence between us.
I wanted to talk to him, but something about us knowing each other's thoughts makes it weird...

"So..."

I tried starting a conversation, but nothing came to mind as we both looked down.

From what I know, we are kinda like friend's. I feel a strong connection with him somehow, but I can't seem to know why...

"Hey, we can look at your memories here, but there is a place I don't remember ever seeing. I am not able to open it, but maybe you can"

I looked up at him and I want to get to know him better. Maybe we can become better friends.

As I got up, I followed him out into a large corridor that I didn't knew existed in this place.

The TV screens all around us were my memories from the past.

I smiled as I looked back onto the good times where I was still happy.

"Nice looking back at the past, right?"

I looked at him and nodded with a smile.
When did my family go so wrong?

Do I even remember?
Somehow I am drawing a blank as I don't remember how long ago it has happened.

"I don't remember when our family became so wrong." I said still trying to find out why our family was the way it is.

"I don't know either, but I also don't remember how I got here in the first place. All I know is that i'm just here."
He goes silent for a moment, but speaks again.

"Almost all the time in my dreams all I hear is a constant beeping"
I decide not to interrupt him as he keeps describing his dream.

"The beeping goes on and on and on. Suddenly, I hear the beeps slow down until it's dead silent..."
He goes silent again.

As we approach the door that the bunny was talking about, it seems to be a see through door but tainted in black.

I try to punch the glass-like door but to no avail. I try harder and harder but soon felt my arms ache.

"Looks like not even you could break it..."
I slumped down on the floor and the bunny decides to join me on the floor as well.

"Hey, I don't think i've gotten your name yet?" I asked trying to lift this gloomy mood.

"Oh right! Heh, the name's Josh"
Josh?
That name sounds somewhat familiar...
Josh...
Josh..
Josh.

All of sudden I hear faint crying coming from behind the tainted door behind us.

We both turned around, and when we did, we saw a crack form on the door.

"Don't leave me!" was all we heard from behind the door.

Josh and I quickly got up and started to hit the door again with our fists trying to help whoever was crying inside.

The crying behind the cracked door slowly faded away.

"What the hell was that?" I asked Josh as he shrugged a bit looking a little worried.

"Your name sounded so familiar...as soon as I began thinking about it, I heard a cry for help behind that door."

"Do you think this has anything to do with your memories? This IS your head."

"Maybe, something about your name seemed to have triggered something."

"If your memories are here as well then that means that somehow that door is also connected to you in some way. Maybe talk more about your past" As I said that, I felt a sense of nervousness come from him.

Maybe I shouldn't force him.

"Nevermind, I don't want to make you uncomft-"

"It's fine. It is the least I can do for seeing everything you can do at any moment"

"Huh? Wait you mean every mome-"

"Yes Springy. Even when you are doing...you thing..."

Aw shit! Isn't that fucking embarrassing!?

I heard him chuckle a little.
"Don't worry, I look away when you do it"

"That doesn't make it any better..." I mumble.

"But back to the main topic. If you want to know about my past, i'm okay with it. Let's start with that beeping I was telling you earlier"
I hesitated but I nodded as I did want to know more about him.

He took a deep breath and started.
"I have this dream almost all the time...
I hear constant beeping and it stays that way for a while. I could only hear beeping as I was unable to open my eyes. After a while, my hearing becomes muffled and the beeps go slower until it's just one long beep until I wake back up."

I was about to go hug him before he started crying because I could sense that he was about to cry.
Suddenly, we hear beeps coming from the door just as Josh had described for me.
Soon after we hear the long beep, it's followed by the same voice screaming the same line.

The door became more cracked, but not enough to break through it.

"I get it now..." I said realizing what it is.

"This door must be a memory for both of us, and..."

"It seems to be telling a story..." I said finishing the sentence for him.

He nodded and we looked at the door. If this door really represent a memory or multiple ones, then that means that we somehow share this moment.

But how? I've never met Josh before.
The only way we would find out is to keep talking, right?

I turned over to Josh who seems to have come to the same realization.

"I guess we should...continue...?"
I nodded.

"Well, another memory I seem to have is about...you. The dream has me sitting on a bench. It was at the park near our house that you love so much."

His mention of me has made me curious as what he has to say.

"It looked like I was sitting on a bench while you were out playing with some other kids in a playground. I remember you came up to me and we walked alongside each other. You looked around 5 or 6 years old at the time. Then, I blacked out as I hit the ground."

"The dream seemed odd but something like that feels... so famili-"
Before I could finish my sentence, the glass door behind us began to shatter. It was cracking and it shattered infront of us like an explosion.

Suddenly, I blacked out, but I heard something muffled. I couldn't open my eyes or move my body at all. I could only hear what it has to say..

"Josh...? Josh stop playing. Josh?! Josh wake up!" The voice of the kid was familiar...

"Get your hands of me! Josh! Help me!"
Before anything else was said, the voice faded away with screaming while another familiar voice began to become louder.

"Springy?! Springy wake up!"

I suddenly opened my eyes as I was breathing heavily as if I was holding my breath the entire time coughing out blood.

"Springy! I'm glad your alive" Josh said before hugging me tightly.

"W-what happened?" I said as my voice hurt from just speaking.

He let me go and pointed over to where the glass door was.
"The glass door ended up shattering and somehow a shard of glass got caught in your throat when it exploded" That explains why it hurts to speak and why I was coughing up blood.

"No wonder it hurts to speak" I said in a quiet voice as to not make my throat hurt more than it already is.

"Then you should stop speaking and we will see what we can do about your cuts later"

Cuts?
I looked around my body and found that there were open wounds that came from the glass.
I

looked around me to see that glass was shattered around us.

"How come you don't have any cuts?" I asked examining that Josh was completely fine.

He looked around himself to see that he didn't even have a scratch on him.
"I honestly have no idea, but glass just phased through me. Could it be because I don't have a physical body and you do?"

I had no idea of how this head dream logic works but im guessing what he says makes sense so I just shrugged.

"It seems that whatever happened, caused that door to break"

"Mhm. Wanna go in?" he asked while reaching a hand towards me.

I nodded and grabbed onto his hand to stand up.

"Hey, Springy?"

I turned my head towards him.
"How do you not feel pain sometimes? It freaks me out at times."

"How the fuck am I suppose to know?" I said playfully.

Josh replied by rolling his eyes and sighing.

"C'mon, let's check what hides behind that room"

We walked into the room that was once locked and it was empty...
Wait nevermind, there is one big tv in the middle of the room with nothing but static.

Josh and I walked towards the tv just to be immediately flashed in the face with a bright light.

Josh's Pov:

"Hey mom! I'm taking Springy out to the park!" I yelled across the house before opening the front door.

"Ok, but be back before 5" She replied back from the kitchen.
I looked down at my phone to see that it was about to be 3pm.

"Ok I will!" I said while Springy walked outside.

I closed the front door and saw that Springy was patiently waiting for me by the sidewalk. Springy was always an obedient kid and he was always creative in finding ways to entertain himself while me and mom aren't there.

Mom has to go to work and I have to go to school. Normally Springy would be with dad but...
Just a few months ago, they got divorced because my dad was using up all our money to drink and drink to the point that he would be a hazard.

Springy was suprisingly smart for his age, he would know things like, hide when its dangerous, scream when in danger, and call the police if anything really bad happens.

Sure it's great for him to know this, but...
Springy shouldn't have to know this. He shouldn't be thinking wether he is in danger or not.

Sometimes I fear that the kid is more mature than he should be...

Well, now i'm just wasting time. I'm going to hang out with Springy today and hopefully we'd get home in time to not get yelled at for being back late.

"C'mon Springy, it's time to go to the park!" I said in a happy tone to get him excited.

He smiled and ran over to me. He grabbed onto my hand and we started walking to the park.

"So, anything happen at school?" I asked because Springy always had something to say about his classmates or his teachers.

"Oh yeah! You know Bonnie right?"

"Mhm." To be honest I don't know any of his classmates so most of the time I just nod or say 'yea' so he could move on with the story.

"Well, he decided to prank the teacher by hiding all her chalk and it was so funny!"
I looked at him with a slight smile.

"Oh yeah? Where'd ya hide it?" I asked because I have a feeling that it wasn't a good one.

"Oh, we hid it in the the trash can near her desk!"
The hell?! Why the trash can?!

I mentally facepalmed and sighed.

"Did she ever find it?"
Springy giggled and shook his head.
"Well, what'd she do then without her chalk?"

"She ended up having another box full of it" he grumbled.

"Well, it was fun while it lasted, right?"

He faced me and smiled.
"Mhm"

We were at the park's entrance and I let Springy run towards the playground.

I wish I could have that kid around me 24/7.
Sure it'd be annoying, but atleast i'll know he's safe.

But for now, i'll keep him safe for as long as I can. I don't care if i'm that overprotective brother. If Springy ever gets hurt on my watch, i'll never forgive myself...
-------------------------------------------------------------------

This backstory ain't done just yet. There is going to be a 3rd part finishing the story behind Josh and Springtrap because I realized this chapter is getting a bit long.

I'm kinda happy how I am able to kinda connect and make some sense between the characters and it's so fun!

Anyways, See ya!
