Chapter 72

Sector 17

Secret's Point of View (Geekmaster1001)

The giant Zombie continued to lumber towards Secret and Pixel. Luckily, there were no people around.

"Okay Pixel, I'm gonna need you to--Pixel?"

Secret looked at Pixel, who was on his knees. He was holding his head in his hands and was shaking violently.

"Pixel! What's wrong?!" Secret ran over to him and tried to help him up.

The blind Resistance member just started to shake even more violently, and he fell to the ground. Secret didn't know what to do, but there was a giant Zombie that needed to be stopped. He turned away from Pixel and started rummaging through his bag.

"Maybe if I just throw a bunch of healing potions at it, it will die," Secret muttered to himself. He found a few healing potions in his bag and charged towards the giant.

Sector 18

Audrey's Point of View (The_Server_Girl_111)

Matster and Hero were gazing at the giant Zombie lumbering towards them. Audrey popped in between them, putting an arm around each.

"Alright guys! Let's go kill us a giant!" she exclaimed cheerfully. Audrey thought she heard Matster sigh, but she wasn't sure.

Sector 18 was a beautiful city. It had a giant glass dome in the center of it, where gorgeous flowers and other flora grew. One could stand on the outside of it to observe the vegetation.

Or one could break inside to escape a giant Zombie, apparently.

Dozens of citizens were cowering inside the glass dome, fearfully watching the giant approach. Audrey saw a large hole on the side of the dome. That must have been how they got in. Instead of running, the citizens just stayed in there.

"We need to get those people out of the dome," Matster said. "Audrey, why don't you go do that? Hero and I will handle the giant."

"Yes sir!" Audrey exclaimed. She ran in the direction of the dome.

When she reached it, she ran inside using the hole they had made. "You all need to get out of here! Run! Go that way!" She pointed in the direction of the hole, which was away from the giant.

The citizens didn't move. They looked at her with a sort of animal curiosity.

"That glass is not gonna protect you from a giant Zombie's foot!" Audrey yelled, starting to feel woozy from all the yelling. "If you stay here, you will all die!"

The people continued to just stare at her.

"Fine!" Audrey yelled. "If you're gonna die anyway, I'll just kill you all first!" She whipped out her enchanted diamond sword, which seemed heavier than normal for some reason.

A few people flinched, but none ran away.

Audrey lowered her sword. "What is wrong with you people?" She started to sway. "What is...wrong with...me?"

All of a sudden, Audrey started to feel brain-dead. Her muscles relaxed, her vision turned fuzzy, her arms hung limp, she could barely process her thoughts. What was going on?

Audrey suddenly saw a bright yellow sign on the side of the dome. It was difficult to read, but she made out the big letters:

"CAUTION: PLANTS RELEASE MIND-NUMBING GAS"

Audrey read that, but didn't process what it meant. She fell to her knees as the citizens stared at her, just as brain-dead as she was.

The giant came closer.

Sector 29

Jean's Point of View

Jean was sitting in the Town Hall, rubbing her temples. Almost all of the Resistance was out at war with giant Zombies they didn't even know how to beat.

And their best soldiers--Steve, Jay, Nomis, and Kirai--were nowhere to be found. Jean could only assume Herobrine did something to them.

And she still had the ingredients to the potion that would kill Herobrine.

They were lying on her desk, and she stared at them. Maybe she should do something with them.

"Donna. Diane," Jean said. Her two assistants looked over at her. "Go get me a brewing stand and an awkward potion. Now."

The blonde and brunette stood up and walked out the door. Soon after, Jean heard two screams and thumps.

She shot to her feet and started to run to the window. About halfway across the Town Hall, Jean saw someone walking outside, bow and arrows out.

Kat.

At first, Jean was going to call out to her. But something was wrong. She looked...different.

Jean hid behind a chair so she wasn't seen. Kat turned to look through the window of the Town Hall.

Her eyes were red.

What happened to her? Jean thought frantically. Did she kill Donna and Diane?

Kat turned her head away, but came towards the door of the Town Hall. Jean quickly raced over to the side wall and pressed a hidden button. A compartment opened up in the wall, just large enough for Jean to fit in. She squeezed inside just as the wall closed over her again.

Jean had used this when Yuri and his servants brought the Wither to Creektown. She wouldn't have been found if Pete hadn't ratted her out. But she was glad he did, because Yuri was holding little Emily hostage at the time.

Anyway, Jean hid in the secret compartment in the wall of the Town Hall. She heard the front doors swung open. Kat must have walked inside.

Jean prayed Kat wouldn't find her.

Sector 1

Jacob's Point of View

A crash was heard somewhere nearby. Jacob cowered behind his desk in Mojang Offices,  frantically flipping through a book.

"Hurricanes...mob attacks...mine explosions......Why is there nothing about giant Herobrines?!" Jacob yelled to himself. He was flipping through the protocol book.

He had already put the building on lockdown and sent all workers to the conference room. But that wasn't going to hold up against Herobrine.

"Oh, where is the Resistance?" Jacob muttered to himself.

Another crash was heard, much nearer this time. Herobrine would step on Jacob any minute.

"That's it. I'm calling Jean," Jacob said to himself. He rushed over to the phone, dialed Jean's number, and waited.

It started ringing.

One ring.

Two rings.

Three rings.

Four rings.

"Come on Jean! Pick up!" Jacob exclaimed.

Five rings.

Sector 29

Jean's Point of View

Jean heard footsteps nearby. Kat was coming this way.

Surely she wouldn't find her. Regular Kat didn't know about the secret compartment, so why would Evil Kat?

Speaking of evil Kat, why was she evil? Was Herobrine controlling her? Or was it someone else?

Kat stopped. Jean could tell she was near the hidden compartment. But surely she couldn't see it.

Suddenly, a loud ringing came from Jean's pocket. She jumped and pulled her phone out. Jacob was calling her.

Jean fumbled with the phone and almost dropped it. She managed to silence the phone, but by then it was too late.

The wall to the Town Hall slid open, and Kat stood in front of Jean, red eyes ablaze.

Sector 1

Jacob's Point of View

Six rings.

Voicemail.

"Why isn't she answering?!" Jacob exclaimed. He threw his phone in frustration.

Jean was always busy with the Resistance. She loved them so much, she didn't even care about her actual job. She was the president of Minecraftia, and all she did was sit in a village with a bunch of soldiers. Jacob had to sit in for her job for the past few weeks, and it was all for nothing. Their building was about to be destroyed, and he didn't know what to do. Sure, Mojang had another location in the Sectors "just in case", but they didn't have as many workers there. They also didn't have any of their important information there. They didn't have time to transfer it there, though, because Herobrine was destroying it all.

Everything that was happening was Jean's fault. Jacob hated Jean.

The loudest crash of all was heard, and Jacob saw a huge block of gray descending from the ceiling that it had just broken through.

Jacob watched as Herobrine's foot came down on him.

Sector 29

Jean's Point of View

Jean was about to scream when Kat was suddenly tackled to the side by someone. At the same time, the wall slid closed again, and Jean was trapped in darkness once more.

She didn't know who tackled Kat, but she assumed it was Tommy or Alice. They were her bodyguards, after all.

Jean decided she needed to get out of the compartment. There was no telling what Kat might do. Jean started to punch at the wood in front of her, since there was no actual way to get out from the inside.

She finished breaking the wood on top, and had a view of part of the inside of the Town Hall. She couldn't see Kat or Tommy or Alice, but she heard them fighting. An arrow flew past the tiny window Jean could see out of.

She started to break the bottom block so she could fit through the opening. When Jean was almost finished, she heard the sound of glass smashing, like a window had just been broken.

Jean finished breaking the wooden plank and slowly poked her head out of the hidden compartment. She peered into the Town Hall, but saw nobody. The place was a mess, though, and one of the windows had indeed been broken.

Jean wondered where Kat and her opponent had gone.

Sector 24

Brayden's Point of View (SirWattOfPad)

Brayden flew the Shark straight towards the giant Zombie. Techno was ready at the redstone cannon. NinjaX was holding on in the back.

Just before they reached the giant Zombie's face, Brayden pulled up on the controls. The Shark veered upwards, but not before Techno shot three consecutive blasts from the cannon.

All three hit the giant Zombie in the face.

All three did nothing.

"What?!" Techno shouted.

"Try again," Brayden said. He swerved the Shark around, and they flew at the giant from the back this time.

Techno fired three more blasts. All three hit the giant's back, but didn't make any visible effect on it.

"Why isn't it working?" Brayden asked.

Techno didn't reply, just fired more blasts.

Suddenly, X leapt out of the Shark without saying anything. He crashed through the window of the top floor of a building and rolled. He seemed unharmed.

"Fly low," Techno ordered.

"But X--"

"I said fly low!" Techno yelled.

Brayden sighed and flew the Shark down. Techno fired more redstone blasts, but none of them did anything to the giant.

Sector 19

Shaina's Point of View (StoryLane)

Shine and Cyril watched as the giant bore down on them slowly. There weren't any citizens around. They must have been evacuated already.

"Any ideas on how to kill it?" Cyril asked.

"The six members of Mojang killed three during the Great War," Shine replied. "As far as I know from the history books, they did it single-handedly."

"What does that mean for us?" Cyril inquired.

"It means the giant must have a weakness," Shine answered.

"What do you think it is?"

Shine shrugged. "It's hard to see all of it from down here. Let's climb to the top of a tall building."

Cyril nodded, and the two of them raced into a nearby building. They climbed up dozens of flights of stairs before they reached the top.

When they arrived on the roof, the giant was much closer. A few more steps and it would be past the building they were on.

"Its eyes are red," Cyril pointed out. "Do you think that has anything to do with it?"

"Possibly," Shine replied. "Giants don't naturally spawn, so I don't know what their normal eye color is. But red eyes are usually a bad thing."

"Better than white eyes," Cyril muttered.

Suddenly, a commotion was heard from below. Shine and Cyril peered over the edge of the building.

A crowd of people were charging towards the giant Zombie. They were still about fifty blocks away from it, but they were clearly aiming for the giant.

"What are they thinking?!" Cyril exclaimed. "They're all gonna get squished!"

"Wait a minute," Shine said, realizing something. "Look closer at the crowd. It's not just people."

Cyril squinted her eyes. "It's...iron golems?"

"And they all have red L's on them."

Cyril gasped. "Just like the golems that attacked us!"

"Attacked Nomis, specifically," Shine corrected. "Who are those people with the golems?"

Cyril squinted again. "I can't tell. But I see at least ten golems. And maybe around twenty people."

Shine looked closer as well. As the group got nearer, she could make the people out better.

"Those are Villagers," Shine said in awe.

Suddenly, a collective roar was heard from the crowd.

"For Leonardtown!"

Leonardtown ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Also rip Jacob

What is going on with Pixel? Who is fighting Kat? Why aren't the redstone blasts working on the giants?
