I managed to live through my first three classes and almost fourth class before lunch, when our dear Science teacher announced that we were supposed to do an assignment on the identification of salts and we will be doing that in pairs. She handed out the pairing list. To my astonishment, I was paired with Jacqueline, the straight A student of the class.

After the bell rang, she approached me, "We are supposed to complete the assignment by this week. When are you free? We can meet up somewhere, your house or mine or somewhere else for completing it according to our schedules." "Maybe we can meet up at Blue Sky Café after school tomorrow?", I asked with a grin. Percy works at that café and I and Nico crash there everyday after school till Percy's shift is over as we are not sure what fate could befall us if we are in the house alone with those assholes. Jacqueline blushed and nodded.

I left her behind and strolled down the hallway to the cafeteria. Percy and Nico were at our usual table. "What took you so long? Trying to hook up with some girl, huh?", Percy sassed. "Nope", I said, popping the 'p'. "Come on, I'm hungry, let's get something to eat," Nico groaned. Percy got up and got three sandwiches for us. After handing out a sandwich to each of us, he took a bite of is own and said, "Did everything go all right till now?" I and Nico nodded and I informed Percy about the assignment and conversation with Jacqueline. When I mentioned everything, Percy joked, "It seems like that girl might have a secret crush on you." There was a glint of jealousy in Nico's eyes but it disappeared as soon as it appeared. After that we continued eating our sandwiches in a comfortable silence. Hardly had we finished our sandwiches when the bell rang and we hurried off to our respective classes. The rest of the day passed mostly uneventfully.

After school was over, we went to the café and after the ending of Percy's shift, we reached home only to find that Apollo hadn't arrived yet and the four pillars of Destruction were sitting in the living room on the couches watching the TV.

What do you think will happen now? Will they get tortured again? Sorry, but no sorry, I am writing a torture scene in the next few chapters. And what do you think about Jacqueline? Sorry for the late update and the very short chapter. Hope you'll like it. I kind of had a huge writer's block. So, I watched 'Love, Victor' and a Thai BL series, 'Dark Blue Kiss'. I recommend both of them.
