LAST TIME:

In less than a few seconds in my time I cut off every head of all the minor gods and few minor titans. But to them it was less than an instant, as I watched over 40 bodies fall on the ground dead and dust flow to me I smiled. I liked this new power a whole lot. To travel the speed of light when I was attacking was straining on my body. But combined with my techniques for assassination it would become invaluable and almost perfect for killing anything.

But my shaking legs and arms said I could only use it so much. So I put Helios's soul and all the immortal souls I just got into a special place in my soul bank so I wouldn't spend them on spells. I wonder what kind of powers I would gain as I stockpile immortal souls. The thoughts just made me happier as I smiled and spun Soul Reaper and put it back on my back on the pile of dusts that used to be immortals all of their souls that are now mine.

"The arenas activities are now suspended for the day all of you return to your quarters." I said in a booming voice as the monsters began to disperse. But I didn't care I need to know why Zoë was in this hellhole of a place.

NOW:

I sat in a chair as I watched the sleeping demi-titan, her breaths coming slowly each time she breathed in and out. Nyx and Hemera were aiding to her as they didn't trust me enough to be alone with such a cute girl that was naked. So they dressed her in some of Nyx's old clothes which consisted of a simple pair of black jeans and a black shirt that fit her perfectly. But after they dressed her they found she had a fever for some reason as they treated her.

But as of now I was on watch duty as appointed to by Hemera as they two got some rest from taking care of her. But over the night her fever had stopped thankfully and right now she was simply recovering as I watched over her. But in the silence of the night I began to wonder how she got here, but only one answer filled my head. That was that Zeus had ripped her soul from the sky and thrust her down into this pit.

"Uggh." I heard suddenly as I instantly shot up and walked over to Zoe. Her face appeared to be in pain as she woke up though as her eye slowly opened from their squinted position. But as they did I backed up a little just in case of a stray fist. But as she woke up a hand went to her head as she blinked a few times as it seemed she had a headache.

"W-Where am I?" She asked herself as I answer for her.

"You are in the arena that is Tartarus." I said as she instantly shot up to her feet in a fighting position as I looked at her with one eyebrow up.

"Who are you?" She asked me with a venom laced tone as I mentally face palmed myself forgetting about my hood.

"Oh sorry if I startled you old friend." I said as I removed the hood as I grinned at her. Instantly she looked surprised at what face she was seeing as her mouth gaped a little.

"P-Percy?" She asked as I nodded a little surprised she even remembered me, but I guess the spell didn't reach her.

"Yeah that is me." I said with a limp smile as I held my arms out as she stepped down from the bed and suddenly hugged me. I was surprised would be an understatement as she hugged me as I slowly hugged her back.

"I am so happy you are alive, it has almost been 260 years since you have disappeared from under the sky." She said in a worried tone as I gave her a confused look but as it had nearly been 13,000 years for me but I guess that is Tartarus time for you.

"I am sorry I disappeared?" It sounded more like a question than a statement as I raised an eyebrow as I looked at her confused as of why a female huntress cared for a man. Seeing that she was still hugging me though her face glowed red for a second as she let go and coughed once.

"You better be, I lost a good source of entertainment because you disappeared." She said as I laughed, but then I got something out of that statement.

"Wait you watched me?" I asked her as nodded like it was nothing abnormal to her.

"Of course I have, all the primordials do. You are a strong demigod so when you went missing many of them were upset with their missing entertainment." She said as I was surprised.

"You know the primordials?" I asked her as she nodded.

"Of course I do I used to live in the realm of Chaos were the hero's in the stars live, let me tell you Orion is the largest dick in the world." She said as I nodded.

"But back to the current predicament why am I here?" She asked me as I shrugged.

"I think Zeus has something to do with it but that is just a guess. But you don't belong here Zoe, so tomorrow I am going to take you to Elysium were you belong." I said as she looked shocked.

"Is that where I am not at right now?" She asked as I shook my head but then I realized something she was speaking normal English.

"How do you know modern English?" I asked her stumped as of how as she smiled proudly.

"I learned from the Hydro's since he liked to visit often." She said as I nodded remember the old pervert that like to visit Tartarus and hit on Nyx a lot.

"Yeah..." I trailed off but she let it slide as we continued out conversation.

"So were am I now?" She asked me as I motioned her to follow me.

"You are in arena which is in Tartarus, but I control the arena so you are safe. But I want to take you back to the underworld and to Elysium so you can be with the other hunters." I said as she slowly nodded.

"But what if I want to stay here with you?" She asked as her face lit up like a Christmas light as I had to make a double take of what she said.

"Trust me you don't want to stay here with me, this place has changed me...and not for the better." I said in a dark tone at the last part.

"How so?" She asked in a worried tone as I looked at her sympathetically.

"Enough to make the very monsters that rom this place fear me, I am treated as a god of fear around here. I am the very person you would disgust Zoë I am not someone you should be near in your life or any other." I said as my face darkened as I walked out of the room leaving Zoë to snap back into reality as she followed me once again.

"But you are the man who took the sky from my mistress why should I be disgusted with you?" She asked me as I looked at her.

"Has Hydro's been filling your mind with these thoughts because if he has I will rip the old pervert a new one." I grumbled as she smiled and laughed a little a very odd sight for Tartarus indeed.

"No he hasn't trust me I already nut punched him once for hitting on me...I have just come to recognize old emotions. I like you Percy I wish for you to know that, just like before we rushed into the battle with my father when I first told you." I remember the first time she said I like you as well as this one, I was so young and naive back then. But as she said that she blushed as I smiled under my hood as I put it back on as we reached a door.

"Sorry Zoë I don't know what to think about those emotions just as I said last time, I am sorry I never got a response to you. But put this on I bet half the monsters here will probably want to rip your head off with you being a hunter and all." I said as she nodded as I handed her a black cloak, but I could still feel this conversation about 'emotions' was not over.

"So tell me Zoë you ever traversed the pit?" I asked her as she flipped up her hood.

"I cannot say I have." She said as I laughed a little.

"Well I do it every week for some exercise so follow me I will get us to a place I can send you back to Elysium." I said as she sighed deeply as I laughed a little. But as we walked for hours we crossed paths with many monsters but none dared attack me and my partner as we talked about the sky and other things down here.

"Zoë I was wondering why do you like me?" I dropped the ball on that question but as I asked it she stopped and looked at me.

"Because the minute I saw you I knew you were different from the other men, you were more carrying and loving than them and more powerful as well. But something about your personality and how you acted just captured me." She said as she suddenly leaned forward and kissed me as I almost jumped.

"Zoë what are you doing?" I asked her as she took off my hood and hers as I looked into her volcanic black eyes.

"Doing what I should have done long ago before I died." She said as she kissed me again as she threw her arms around me not giving me a chance to escape. But I had to say I enjoyed it just as much as her as I wrapped my arms around her sides and grabbed her butt. But she didn't fault as I did instead she deepened the kiss even more. As our tongues wrested for dominance I felt her hand slowly do down to my pants as they tugged at the hem.

"Wait Zoë don't." I said as I managed to break us apart.

"What why did I so something wrong? I did everything Eros told me to do?" She told me as I rolled my eyes, one day he was going to pay for making my love life hell.

"No it is not that Zoë you did everything right trust me. But I am not the person you once knew, I cannot love someone as pure as you. You have to understand I am a beast that no longer should be called human. I have seen and done things to monster and humans alike that no amount of sacrifices can wash away. I am forever stained by the blood of my victims so please do not let me dirty your hands as well with this filthy body." I said as she stood shocked.

"I don't care dirty my soul if you must but please-." But I stopped her with a hand.

"Please don't make this hard on me Zoë I am someone that will forever be shadowed by his actions. So please let me do this one good thing in my life and not spoil a perfectly good soul that deserves Elysium." I begged her as she looked at me stunned.

"I don't care." She stated her mind as I sighed.

"Well I do care for you that is why I am doing this, I am too far gone to turn back. I bet even Annabeth couldn't do anything anymore for me or you. I am a broken disc now please stop this and don't dirty yourself." I said as I saw tears start to form in her eyes. But before she could do anything I felt a massive power enter my senses as I instantly shoved Zoë behind me. She instantly had an angry face but quickly had a stunned one as a massive monster trudged over a hill not too far away.

It looked like a shaded that was falling apart but in all reality its name was a lost shadow. You see lost shadows are basically made up of loose shadows almost like a haze of blackness. The thing is this haze of shadows is a fatal poison to any who breathe it even primordials. It corrodes the soul in 10 minutes and the body in 1 minute and makes the person or creature who inhales it fade from existence. This monster was one of Erebus's creations that he made when he was bored and they are only loyal to him.

But the hulking mass of the monster stood as large as a behemoth by maybe double and its glowing red eyes and mist like body angled towards us as I stopped breathing. I was not for one facing one of these things but I don't think Zoë could keep up with me feeling from this monster. She may be a hunter still but Tartarus teaches you to be faster than anything else down here to survive and that is fast let me tell you.

"Zoe slowly back up okay do not antagonize it in anyway got it." I said slowly as the monster seemed to glare at us as its red eyes followed us as we slowly backed up. Zoe had no problems following my instructions this time let me tell you. As we backed up though about 100 feet from the beast it suddenly threw its head back and howled. As the howl washed over us I instantly cursed myself as I picked up Zoë and began to sprint as fast as I could to the arena.

"What are you doing?" She yelled at me as I sprinted faster than any hunter could have dreamed.

"Saving our lives." I said but as soon as I said it I knew I was too late as the shadows condensed about 200 feet in front of us as I came to a screeching halt. Instantly from the shadow came 3 of the beasts and then more began to shadow travel in as we were dead center in the middle of a 100 of the beasts.

"Shit shit shit." I repeated as I guess the primordial wasn't so happy I had been sleeping with his wife and daughter. I guess this was his way to end me so it would happen again.

"Zoe listen carefully okay." I said as she nodded as the beasts all growled at us as they were about 300 feet away each.

"I need you to pray to Nyx okay try to get her to come here at all costs okay. I will protect us costs just try to reach Nyx." I said as she nodded as I drew Silent Doom as all the monsters backed up a little recognizing the weapon.

"Why can't you shadow travel out?" She asked me.

"Because they are faster than me when they shadow travel, if we did we would both end up dead before we even exited the portal." I said as I twirled the blade as Zoë got on her knees and started to pray to the goddess as I faced the horde of the terrible monsters. As I did they all started to walk around me in different directions as I stayed right by Zoë's side as she prayed as hard as she could.

"Nothing is getting through it is like it is being blocked or something." She said as she stood up by my side.

"Damn Erebus this must be his doing." I cursed as I swear I heard a chuckle.

"Got any weapons you can spare?" Asked Zoë as I nodded and slowly reached to my side and pulled out a plain sword I keep on me just in case. I just tossed it to Zoë who saw it as not her ideal weapon but it would work.

"Wouldn't have a bow would you?" She asked me in a sarcastic voice.

"Fresh out." I said as she laughed a little even though our situation was not a funny one.

"Zoe stay close to me I am going to try to punch a hole through their wall, hopefully we can reach the arena if we run." I said as she nodded as I began to stalk towards one side as Zoë covered my back.

"Go!" I screamed as I used my powers over the elements to create an explosion in their ranks. As it went off I managed to wound one as startled the others as I ran forward as Zoë's speed. As we did I saw the wall of the beasts we had our back to start running after us.

"Remember hold your breath when we pass through okay." I said as she nodded as we were about 10 feet from them as I suddenly picked Zoë up around the waist as I jumped over several of the beasts as they tried to claw us out of the air. As we landed I shoved Zoë forward as I twirled around and sliced off a paw that was right at my back in an instant. As the mist like paw hit the ground it dissolved at the monster roared.

This gave me an opening as I twirled Silent Doom and stuck the main blade up through the bottom of its mouth and into is brain. As it dissolved I used my power to force an excess amount of air in-between me and the monsters as it blew me back into the air. It was kind of like a harmless bomb that I use to propel myself greater distances sometimes. As I landed I rolled once and skidded to a stop but in that instant thy raced after me as I used the smaller dagger on the end of Silent Doom to stab a monster in the head that was right in front of me.

As the blade cleanly went right into its head it dissolved and went into my blade but then I barely managed to duck under a massive paw. As I dodge I looked like the guy off that matrix movie as I twirled Silent Doom hitting 3 of the monsters around me. At this they howled in anger as 5 of the monsters launched themselves at me as the rest gathered around me as I got their attention. I had no idea where Zoë was at this point.

"Die!" I screamed at the 5 monsters as I unleashed my new move as I was like light itself as I killed the 5 of them. But as I did my body was left trembling a little as I curse myself. Without a moment to lose I dove into the beasts as I got a new lung full of fresh air. As I charged into the crowd of them I was a hurricane of death as I sliced and hacked at the monsters. But as I did I felt my body getting weaker from the poison in the air. Even if I hadn't breathed in any it was still getting in my skin pores.

But that didn't stop me as I kept slicing off heads and legs as all the dust went into Soul Reaper as I killed as many as I could. Not blood came from these monsters but if I had to say if there had I would have attracted a horde of monsters that wanted the fresh blood. At this time I just finished killing number 35 as I used another burst of air to blow me upwards into the sky as I inhaled as much air as possible.

As I flew in the air though I looked to the left to see a sight I had not wanted to see. Zoe had her blade up as she fought two of the beasts way off to the left of the horde the surrounded me. But as I could tell Zoë was not very familiar with the sword of any kind as she fought for her life. But then it all seemed to stop as I saw the monster swat at her arm and connect with it as her sword went flying off to the side. As this happened she was throw into the ground from the force of the blow as well as have a few massive cuts in her arm that the smoke began to pore into.

"No!" I screamed as I launched Silent Doom at them like a spear, also I used another blast of air to send me rocketing towards her but I was to slow. Almost as if Kronos was slowing down time around us I watched as the monsters took up the area behind Zoë as she slowly pushed herself to her knees. She looked much worse than I had thought as I flew towards her as the monster at her back opened its giant mouth above her.

Silent Doom hit the other monster all together as I watched as Zoë looked up at me and gave me one last smile. But at the same time her lips began to move slowly as I read her lips. 'I love you Percy.' That was all her lips said as the monsters mouth came down around her as she closed her eyes and accepted her fate as the monster ate her whole. In one movement her body was gone as the monster raised its head and swallowed her body whole. All I could do was crash into the ground a few feet away as I rolled to my feet.

I just slowly got up as the monster walked over to me and opened its massive maw as it roared at me. But as it did I just slowly stood up as the black mist rushed past me almost as if it was fire as I held out my hand to my side as Soul Reaper shot from the ground and straight to my palm as I closed my hand around it. As it did I looked up at the monster as I saw him shudder a little at my eyes. They were solid black/purple as the darkness poured off my like a fountain as I slowly drew in a breath of the poisoned air.

"No hole, mountain, crevice, or even the darkest corners of this pit will keep me from killing you and your entire race. I will hunt you all down until there are none of you left, I don't care if that primordial of shadows make an army of you I will destroy it with the armies of the arena. Hear my now Erebus you have evoked the anger of the god of the arena and the king of monsters. May any who worship you and your fowl beasts die at the hand of my monsters."

"I will make fear spread like the plague among your worshipers, my monsters and I will become the bane of you. The people of this planet will fear to worship in the fear of being killed. You will fade because of this I swear." I said as thunder boomed across Tartarus.

"Hahaha you think such a puny immortal can kill a primordial with such a small threat?" I heard in a booming voice around me as I smiled a sick and twisted smile.

"This is no threat Erebus this is a promise." I said as I was gone in a flash of white light as I suddenly stood behind the monster as its essence began to dissolve it was so close to me. In fear the monster tried to jump away but I was by it again as I drove a fist right into its face as it slammed into the ground as a crater formed. As I looked down at my hand I saw it was covered in a dragon like scales but I didn't care as I drove the short blade on the end of Soul Reapers pole into its skull.

"Die you bitch." I said as I ripped the blade out and thrust my hand towards the wave of the beast head towards me. As I did suddenly solid spikes of solid mercury shot out of the ground and into at least 50 of the new 300 beasts. Effectively rendering them trapped as the metals I used couldn't kill them that easily. But quickly the sky began to darken greatly as thunder drummed across the sky as the beast bellow my feet dissolved into golden sand and black sand. The golden sand went to my weapon as the black sand went to my cloak.

"I will worry about that later." I told myself as red lighting suddenly struck down from the clouds and hit the Mercury spikes effectively killing all 50 of the monsters and 20 more that were too close to them. But I wasn't done as I put Soul Reaper on my back and raised both my hands as the wave of monsters was still increasing but this would end it. As I raised my hands though the ground suddenly turned to an almost rusty looking sand.

But as this happened suddenly hundreds of the monsters began to sink into the 30 feet deep sand that was much larger than his force as they all began to sink in it. But more just kept coming as they kept sinking and sinking until after an hour more than 3000 of them were trapped in the sand.

"You think you puny little sand will stop my whole army if you do you are poorly mistaken." Said the booming voice as I just laughed.

"Is it me or are you a stupid primordial, you send all of you monsters after one person that is just funny. But to get them all caught in this simple trap that is even stupider than I thought you were. But let me give you a hint on this magical sand of mine. Don't let it catch fire." I said as I lit a ball of flame in my hand thanks to some hydrogen as I tossed it a good distance as pushed myself back a good distance with an air jump.

"Why fire?" I heard from the voice as I smiled.

"You have never heard of thermite have you, let me give you a hint it burns close to 2500 degrees Celsius that is equivalent to 4532 degrees Fahrenheit." I said as the ball landed as my desert of the thermite caught fire and the desert began to glow as bright as the sun. But I just laughed as the cries of his monsters dying almost instantly trilled me. After about half an hour all the thermite was gone and just a giant boiling lake of lava was left as I felt the presence of the primordial leave.

"That takes care of that..." I said as I shadow traveled back to the arena seeing as there was no longer a need to fear the shadows anymore. But as I arrived I suddenly lost feelings in my legs as I feel forward and hit the ground as I laughed a little as I felt tears begin to run down my face.

"I am sorry Zoë I could take you back to Elysium after all." I whispered to myself as suddenly Silent Doom hummed at me. At first I was daydreaming but then it hummed again as I thought for a second then I remember the golden dust.

"Zoe?" I asked the weapon as it hummed in confusion and delight as I was stunned.

"But how...I know your soul must have been trapped in the beast when I killed it. So when I did kill it Silent Doom absorbed your soul. Since you were so close to me Silent Doom gave you your own personal pocket so you can somehow control Silent Doom a little." I said as it seemed to hum in agreement as I slowly hugged Silent Doom.

"Don't you worry I will get you a new body don't you worry and when I do I hope you can forgive me for being too slow." I said in a sad voice as Silent Doom hummed in annoyance as if saying 'it wasn't your fault' but I just smiled and laid down on the ground as I watched Nyx running over to me.

"One day don't you worry." I said as I passed into unconsciousness.

FLASHBACK END:

"And that is about it." I finished as everybody looked at me shocked as Tiffany was the first one to ask a question.

"You mad a desert of Thermite?" She asked me as I nodded.

"That was long before I mastered that power anyway." I said as she let a low whistle out.

"Zoe loved you and I had no clue." Thalia said a little dazed from my story as I smirked a little.

"A lot of women have loved me but only one has managed to turn the monster inside me into a carrying and loving man." I said as I gave her a kiss on the cheek as she blushed a little.

"Still what do you plant to do now we leave in like 10 minutes?" Tiffany said as I nodded.

"I will put her soul back in her body and leave her body in the hands of Tammy and you before she wakes up so me and Thalia can get some alone time." I said with a wink as Thalia blushed as Tiffany made a face of horror and I think jealousy.

"Hey don't hog her you male." She said as I laughed a little.

"Why do you mean hog me?" Thalia asked as Tiffany's face suddenly went red as she ran out of the room as Zain threw his hands up to say 'really?' but as he followed her out I smiled as I felt the ring humming a lot on my hand.

"Percy how long do you think it will take for her to return?" Asked Thalia as I smiled.

"I say a month at least it takes time for a soul to get accustomed to a body." I said as she nodded.

"Silent doom I summon the soul of Zoë Nightshade and place it in her rightful body." I said as suddenly the ring glowed golden for a second as suddenly golden dust began to fall and flow into her mouth as I held the ring a few inches above her head. As the last of the dust flowed in suddenly Zoë's body gasped for air and arched as if it was in pain. This started Thalia so much her halo popped out of nowhere as if on high alert.

"Got something on your head." I said as she reached up and grabbed the halo and blushed.

"Shut up." She said as I laughed as I looked at the now breathing body of Zoë Nightshade.

"So what do we do now?" Asked Thalia as she held her halo to her chest as it hummed a little as it glowed blue at little as it had gotten some of its power back.

"For now we are going to go to that cabin and have some us time." I said as I picked up Bastet and set her on the side of Zoë's body as the cat seemed to recognize one of the ladies who force fed her space food as she hissed at her.

"Hey no hurting her go it or you will be a month without any tuna got it." Threatened Thalia as the cat seemed horrified at this announcement. Quickly the cat laid down peacefully by her body as I smiled a little. Nothing like having one of the world's most dangerous monsters as a pet am I right.

"By the way what ever happened to Erebus with your threat and all?" She asked me.

"I backed off a little because Nyx begged me to, he had become so weak that even a minor god could have killed him. But I did as I said I would I hunted down all of his shrines and worshipers and killed them. To this day he only has 3 shrines left and 15 followers that willing follow behind him. Also the beasts that he created are all gone as well not one lives, but since so many fear to follow him he remains at a minor god level with his wife at his side."

As I said this a shiver could be felt going through Thalia as I smiled evilly but then I felt a hand on my shoulder as I looked down at Thalia. Her face showed sorrow and love as I smiled lightly at her as I suddenly scooped her up princess style. This made her blush and make a very girlish noise that I would have never thought would come out of her mouth.

"Now let's get going I am tired of waiting around." I said as I kissed her and walked out of the room.
