That was indeed something, a terrifying something, Sam waited a few minutes for the sounds of his mothers steps to vanish, and then tried to climb out, emphasis on the "tried". He might've put himself in an even worse situation, is this how his new life ends? Stuck in a hole and left to starve? That's....disappointing. Didn't even get to use magic, wait, can spiders even use magic? Oh well, doesn't really matter now.

"NO" Sam thought, he would live this life as best he could, who gives a shit about heaven? He's not going to die in a hole, he's going to do it all! But first, this hole problem, first he tried the most obvious solution, learning how to run, thankfully the bottom of the hole had a small rocky room that was big enough for him to walk around, he started doing some "jogs" around the room, when he was confident he then started using two more of his legs, making him run around the room way faster, he continued this process until he reached the point where he could use all of his legs, allowing him to move around at about the speed of a newborn deer. All in all, this process took about two hours. Surprisingly fast for someone to get used to six extra legs.

Now, the even harder part, climbing up the wall, this would be pretty fundamental in his survival later on after all, he didn't even know if there was any other exit to this place besides the crack in the roof that, from his view in the hole, was probably one-hundred and eighty feet away. If you were wondering how he looked up by the way, he had to prop himself  up with his legs like a dog, wasn't exactly comfortable though. Anyway, the climbing.

First he put one leg on the wall, which he actually got stuck to, and could release his leg with relative ease, it was at this point that he discovered that there was a colour on his leg, which was a bright red, not to different from lava in appearance, at this point he wasn't sure if the colours had any actual importance or if they were just a result of genes.

Next he put his next front leg up onto the wall, now sort of arching upwards, next his middle right leg, bottom left leg, and so on and so forth, after climbing up the wall for two minutes flat he reached the roof that led to the hole, now, Sam did feel a little weary in his stomach, but continued on and reached the hole, now just for a climb up.

Finally, after around ten whole minutes, he got to the surface and was pretty proud of himself, that pride was immediately replaced by shock however, as once he got up he saw an absolutely huge pool of blood and spiders bodies that had a chunk of flesh ripped off of them, a few eyes, some bones sticking out, he was in shock. Because despite only knowing them for a whole..... two? Three minutes? Five tops. They were still his brothers and maybe sisters, wasn't exactly sure of how to tell the males from females.

And then, well, despite the horrible scene in front of him, his stomach growled in hunger. Even he was a bit shocked, and then he pondered about the obvious thought that would go through anyone's mind in a scene like this. He had to eat them.
