"How The Modern British Royals Led Me To Writing and Wattpad"

Hello. My name is Emily, and I'm a 17-year-old girl who loves the modern British royal family. It all started on May 19, 2018, when my grandmother and I watched the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. My grandmother primarily cared about Princess Diana and her two sons, Princes William and Harry.

What caught my attention was the song that Meghan walked down the aisle to. It was incredibly beautiful. I then started to Google them because the wedding was so beautiful, and the things I learned were quite interesting. The little bridesmaids and page boys looked absolutely adorable as they walked behind Meghan. Now, to this day, I know a lot about them and other royal families, such as those in Norway, Sweden, etc.

In the summer of 2023, I went to Hollins University in Virginia to spend a week on campus and experience college life. During my free time, I started writing a script about Queen Elizabeth II's life because I aspired to become a screenwriter in the future. One of the college professors reviewed my script and remarked that I had talent. She then asked me if I would be interested in having people perform it. I had about ten minutes to decide, and I agreed. (The people didn't actually perform it; they simply read it aloud to a group of other people.) However, I truly enjoyed the experience and was very proud of the individuals who read it.

I continued to write my script throughout my junior year of high school. One of my favorite art teachers expressed great interest in my writing. She consistently encouraged me to type it up and share it with others. I was hesitant to share it due to shyness. However, I eventually typed it up and showed it to her. She then recommended three writing websites, including Wattpad. I explored Wattpad and, well, here I am!

I wrote one of my first stories based on The Simpsons, as it's one of my favorite TV shows. I then wrote other stories, and I fell in love with Wattpad, exploring different genres. My goal is to become an author and a screenwriter.
