Cap pov

" Nick, what r u doing here?" i asked in a suprised yet irritated tone. He told me that his wife kicked him out but one his shield device he typed that shield was being compromised. B4 i could ask him what he meant, i heard gunshots and before i knew it nick collapsed on the floor. Seeing he had no reaction, i pulled him to the side when sharon came in. I looked at her questioningly and she explained that she works for shield and was on the mission to protect me under furys order. She then called medic and i asked her to tell them im on pursuit. I jumped out and smashed into different walls but when i finally saw the culprit i threw him my shield but he caught it effortlessly and jus threw it back at me forcing me to b pushed back. When i looked up again, i saw that he was gone and when i ran to the side of the building he was no where to b seen.

Nat pov

I collapsed in my apartment when i heard the news.Fury is dying. The person who saved me from the torture of the red room, the person who offered me a place in shield, the person who made me who i am today, is currently lying on the hospital bed fighting for his life. I wiped a tear that i shed, took my car keys and drove as fast as i could to the hospital. When i reached i ran up to the er dep and i saw him with tubes connected to his body. I walked and stood between maria and steve. Pls dont die i whispered softly. Maria was explaining what happened when i interrupted her saying its a soviet gun. She looked suprised but slowly nodded her head. I then told her i knew becoz i was shoot twice with that b4. Suddenly i heard the doctor say that his time of death was 1 15. My heart dropped. Without fury, i was the monster that was hidden deep in my body. After seeing him for the last time, cap said maria had to take him so i had to leave. I asked him : " y was fury at ur hse?"  He then replied me with a idk. I told him that he was the wordt liar i have ever met.

After seeing nat leave, i knew her trust in me was broken. So i was determined to win it back  by finding out who was the person or thing that killed fury.
