Darkness And The Moon
It was already midnight when everyone decided to go home. Well, they didn’t really have to leave yet. But considering that the Wife was carrying a child and needed more rest, they had to go.
The outside was dark, but good thing it was a full moon, otherwise everyone would completely go blind.
The Family started to flood out of the carved wooden doors of the Villa.
Lucy was walking ahead of Natsu who was still talking with Jellal and the others.
Everyone had their guard down, not expecting an enemy since the place was supposed to be a ‘secret’. What a big mistake.
They were about to realize that soon enough…well, sooner than they could even realize it.
.
A man with pitch black hair suddenly came out of the dark and ran towards them holding a Tommy gun in his hands, an American submachine gun.
He fired at everyone in the area, aside from the blond woman who was screaming and curling down on the ground. Lucy got isolated from the others.
They were all caught off guard, the moment the gunfire started, everyone either dropped on the ground or jumped behind the safety of the cars parked everywhere.
There were screams in the entire place.
Loud curses and cracking of firearms echoed through the night.
“LUCY!!” the Don’s voice was filled with alarm as he looked around to find where she was, “WHERE ARE YOU?!”
The firing was never ending.
“KILL THAT MOTHERFUCKER!” Natsu shouted loud enough for everyone to hear through the shots that were being fired.
It was their turn to fire at the enemy. Why not? They outnumbered him more than a hundred to one. The only disadvantage they had was that bullets were being aimed at them at the moment. The enemy had the upperhand. If only they could take one shot, then the tables would turn.
Then finally, Gray was able to shoot the man on the leg, making him kneel on the ground. A scream of pain let everyone know he was hit. The moment he was on his knees, the entire Family went into firing stance, all firearms pointed at the man.
The enemy knew it was impossible. He knew it was suicidal but did it anyway.
There was gunfire again.
This time, more than a multiple shots. Imagine hundreds of guns being fired at the same time, not just once, but multiple times. It could damage eardrums to those who weren’t used to it.
Each of the family fired back at him, not missing a single shot. All bullets made impact on his body.
But even so, the man continued to shoot at them even at the verge of death. Impossible, but because he had a will to carry out an order, he had to do it.
Blood splattered everywhere as he continued to fire until his last breath.
Like he said, he was willing to die for her. For Tsurara. Because of that, he willingly sacrificed his life…as a mere diversion for his mistress to carry out the plan that was to kill the blond.
As it all happened, Tsurara was already approaching Lucy who was down on the ground helpless and alone. She pointed her gun at her.
The blond couldn’t believe it when she lifted her head to look at the woman in front of her.
“Y-Yuki…”
“It’s Tsurara,” she had a sick smile on her face, “Now, die.”
It caught Natsu’s eyes.
When he saw Lucy down on the ground, helpless and about to get shot, he didn’t care anymore. He ran towards his wife not giving a fuck at the exchange of gunfire that was happening around him.
Fire him all the bullet he could have, just not Lucy. Not her.
“Natsu!” Zeref shouted when he saw his brother run out to the open, “Shit! Cover him!” he kept firing at the enemy.
“LUCY!” Natsu shouted.
She heard his voice and immediately looked to the side. She saw him running towards her. She was happy to see him unscathed.
But she knew what he was going to do next.
He was going to take the bullet for her.
“NO!” Lucy shouted. Tears started falling from her eyes, “NATSU! DON’T DO IT!”
Even if she didn’t say it, he would still do it anyway.
Without any hesitation, he threw his body on the ground, covering every corner of Lucy.
Gunshot—
.
.
Just as the shot was released, Sting jumped from behind Tsurara and tackled her on the ground at the same time.
“Urgh! Get off me! Get off!” she shouted at him and tried to get away with no avail.
Sting slapped her on the face to shut her up. And it worked.
The firing died down after Tsurara fired the shot. And the man who risked his life for her, fell on the ground. Dead. A pool of blood formed around him.
Now everyone’s attention turned to the woman who was being tackled on the ground. As they looked to see who the enemy was, their eyes widened. Her familiar face was made visible by the light of the full moon.
“How the hell is she even alive?” Jellal asked no one in particular.
Tsurara snickered as she faced them.
“Surprised to see me? Yes, I’m still alive,” she smirked, “But your Don isn’t.”
“Wrong.”
A voice that sounded so dark got everyone’s attention. Especially Tsurara. She rapidly turned to face the one who spoke.
Natsu stood up, his broad back facing her and everyone else.
When he turned around, the expression on his face was something that was never before seen by everyone. Call it angry, furious, wrathful, enraged, etc. But it was something more...a term that was more evil…darker.
“N-no…,” Tsurara stared in horror, “You’re de-“
“You missed.” He said simply.
Tsurara trembled in fear and started to reach for her gun that was laid on the ground. She planned to shoot him again. But Sting kicked the armament away from her reach.
As he started to walk towards her, the fear on her face became more and more obvious.
Natsu’s aura that surrounded him was dark, dangerously deadly. Sting backed away as he came closer, he felt it too.
He reached for his own gun that was tucked on his lower back and swiftly pointed it down at her. At her forehead.
“You really want to die that badly like your dead husband, do you?”
Hearing about her husband again, Tsurara’s hands turned into fists.
“You killed him! You heartless monster!” she shouted angrily.
But Natsu wasn’t fazed by her.
“The moment he attempted to kill my wife, his slot in hell was already guaranteed,” he said with no emotion in his voice as he continued to point the gun at her.
She continued to glare at him with both hate and fear.
“Come to think of it, that plot he made against my Family was suspicious,” he started, “I knew it wasn’t his idea to kill Lucy. He despised me. If he wanted to kill me, he would have done it head on. He would have killed me right away if he had a chance.”
Tsurara started to tremble more.
“It was you, wasn’t it?” Natsu didn’t break eye contact with her, “If there was anyone who could order him around, it would be you.”
He was right.
She was found out.
Tsurara started to chuckle like a demented woman.
“Bravo,” she mockingly clapped her hands at him, “Yes, it was my idea. I told him to kill your-“
Another gunshot—
.
.
Tsurara’s body dropped on the ground. a clean shot through her head.
Natsu had had enough about her blabber. So he ended it along with her life.
They all stared at the body.
Then Natsu turned and walked back to Lucy who was crying as she sat on the ground. She had scratches on her knees.
Natsu gently picked her up.
But before he walked away, he turned to Sting. He gave him a slight nod. If he didn’t show up and tackle the enemy, the bullet might not have missed.
The blond man was surprised to see this, only a few people could get a nod from the Head.
As Natsu walked towards their car, Sting could only stare at him. At him and her. He realized, there was no way he could ever break that love they had.
“Is everyone alright?” Jellal turned to everyone else.
Good news was that they only got minor injuries. Scratches.
“I’ve checked. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt.” Erza reported.
Jellal gave out a relieved sigh.
At the corner, Rogue turned to his right-hand man. Rufus already understood what he was going to say next.
“I got it,” he said and turned to the others, “Let’s start cleaning up people!”
“Here we go again,” Gray started to walk towards the dead bodies.
“So we witnessed the death of another Nura,” Lyon said as he turned to Juvia.
“Well that’s not something new.”
