BAR II

They waited again.
More specifically, he waited again, seated at the same spot as the other night they went to the bar. This time, he wasn't going to let her leave so easily. Laxus had come along instead of Gajeel, wanting to see this 'girl' in person.

They'd been waiting for a good one hour that they started to get bored. Bored enough that Loki even started to hit the dancefloor, hit on the ladies.

Just like what they've come for, the same blonde started making her way to the counter, her spot.

"She's here" Gray said. Stating the obvious.
"A Heartfilia huh" he added.

Natsu turned to Laxus giving him a 'what the hell did i just tell you' look. Word spread real fast. Laxus gave him a 'you know my wife' look in return.

Adding up to the mood, Jack&Jack's 'Like That' music started to play as soon as she entered the bar.

"She looks just like Mrs. Heartfilia. Well prettier...younger..."

"We get the point Gray" Laxus cut him off.

While they talked about her, Natsu had already started heading towards the girl.
.
.

Ordering the usual, the bartender finally found the courage to start a conversation with blondie.

"So umm..uhh. you kinda look familiar," the boy started.

Instead of hearing a soft voice of an angel replying to him just like what he expected, he got a masculine one saying "mhm. I bet you're one of those boys who have the same line for every girl they see"

This caught the girl's attention. She instantly looked at where the voice came from. She had a strong feeling it was the same man from before.

And she was right.

Locking eyes with the same stranger, again, she was the first to look away. Natsu found this quite pleasing. He liked the way he made her face lit up with that pink shade on her cheeks as she looked away. By this time, the bartender had already attended to the others, out of sight.

"Natsu Dragneel. You?," he started as he waited for a handshake. This made her look his way again. She stared at his hand and then at his ever calm face.

"Lucy. Lucy Heartifilia," she answered together with a handshake.

She noticed that his face seemed unexcited as she told him her name. She wondered if he found her boring.

Girl, its not that. The thing is, he already knew a lot about her.

A lot.

Natsu noticed that she didn't look amazed or shocked upon hearing the name 'Dragneel' either. Who would't? It wasn't just any name, it was one of the top famous names in Japan.

This girl had no interest in news or politics whatsoever, he thought.

"Umm.. so what do you do, Natsu?," she asked, showing him a sweet smile.

Well, he wasn't about to tell an angel what he does for a living. Would she really stay and talk after hearing him say 'Im part of the mafia. The head. And I kill people' with a straight face? No. He wasn't going to tell her. At least not yet.

"Business. Something to do with companies and hotels," he answered. Lucy nodded slowly at him.

The whole night they've come to know more about each other.

Laughing, giggling, chuckling and whatnot. In his case, he knew more AND more about her, anything that wasn't written in the files.

They found each other's company quite...enjoyable. Staring and drinking at the same spot.

Lucy was starting to like him. Him and his overwhelming presence. Natsu, well he already liked her. By now, it would already be more than just 'like'.

Their meetings were not limited in just the bar. They've started meeting each other in any place in the city. The park, the mall, anywhere.

Everytime they did, Lucy would notice people in suits and black cars in the area. She just shrugs it off, thinking that 'must be their work break'. This went on for a few weeks. A month to be exact.

She was slowly falling for him. She tried to dismiss the feeling, afraid someone like him would never fall inlove with a girl like her. Lucy had no confidence at all. She tried to hide her blushes everytime he said something sweet. But Natsu wasn't as dense as she thought.
.
.
He wanted her more and more each day.

He couldn't wait. He wasn't one to wait.

Even with that calm face he put on, he was an impatient person.

One night, they were walking at the boulevard overviewing the ocean. It was beautiful, seeing the city lights on the other side.

It was cold, too. Both of them wore their coats. White for her and black for him.

"Hey Luce," he started as he stopped on their tracks. Getting her attention with the nickname he made for her on their 3rd night together.

"Yeah?" She replied with a smile.

And that smile slowly faded as she looked at his face.

He was serious. She'd never seen him like this before. He had his authoritative aura on.

Lucy started to get nervous. Too nervous she could hear her own heartbeat.

"Marry me."
