Just Keep Swimming
A/N: This is requested by Blackberry808 !!!
(The trio are triplets in this one.:) They're all five years old.)
Today is the perfect day. Avi and Kevin have been waiting for this day since their triplets turned five. They are ready for this moment.
Their children are having swimming lessons.
~~~
"Okay, do you three have your floaties and goggles?" Avi asked, looking down at his children. They all nodded, ready for their lessons. "You three are so adorable right now. I just want to hug you all."
"Then hug us," Mitch, the youngest triplet, spoke up in his soft voice. "I love hugs!"
"Me too," Kirstie, the middle triplet, replied. She smiled up at Scott, giggling at him. "Scott does too!"
"I do," the oldest one confirmed, his blue eyes full of happiness. "Hug us, Papa?"
Avi hugged them tightly, smiling up at Kevin. Kevin put a finger over his mouth to tell his husband to be quiet as he went behind the kids. Avi nodded and held back his laughter. Kevin laughed to himself evilly and began to tickle Mitch, making the little boy start giggling loudly. Scott and Kirstie screamed and tried to escape, but Avi grabbed them and tickled them. The laughter from the triplets echoed through the community pool, making everyone else look at them. A lifeguard shook her head and tapped on Avi's shoulder, making him stop tickling his children.
"There are people who want to enjoy the peacefulness. Stop or I'll kick you out."
She walked off and Kevin stuck his tongue out at her, causing his children to laugh quietly. Avi rolled his eyes and walked up to the swimming teacher. The teacher turned around and smiled, nodding her head.
"Hello, are you the Olusolas?" She asked, smiling at the kids. Mitch and Kirstie hid behind Kevin's legs while Scott waved excitedly. "Awesome. We're going to have so much fun! Let the lessons begin!"
If only she knew what the Olusola children could be capable of.
~~~
"Okay, let's start! Your parents will be back in no time! What are our names?" The teacher asked excitedly, smiling at the children. Everyone there earlier had left, including Avi and Kevin. "How you, hon? Do you want to start?"
She smiled at Mitch, who widened his big brown eyes. He opened his mouth, then closed it again. He looked at his feet, not knowing what to say. Scott cleared his throat, catching his teacher's attention.
"That's Mitch. He's shy and doesn't really talk. That's okay because he is still adorable," Scott answered for his brother. Mitch smiled at him and looked back at his feet. "I'm Scott."
"And I'm Kirstie, the girl," Kirstie ended, smiling up at the teacher. "What's your name?"
"Mariposa. It's Spanish for butterfly."
"That's pretty," Mitch whispered, looks up at Mariposa. "Butterflies are pretty too, like you."
"Aw, thank you," Mariposa replied, looks down at the youngest triplet. She clapped her hands and looked at the water. "Now it's time for lessons!"
~~~
What started out as lessons turned into a day that Mariposa wants to end...now. First, the triplets all pretended like they were drowning. Second, Kirstie kicked Scott which made him push her and she fell on Mitch, who screamed...loud. Third, they did that they were they saw who could their breath the longest and Scott almost fainted. Lastly, they all splashed her when she was teaching them how to float. Now they're recreating the Titanic.
"I'll never let go, Jack," Mitch murmured, holding onto Scott's hand while sitting on a duck floatie. Scott's eyes were closed and his tongue was out, making it look even more 'realstic'. "I'll never let go."
"I'm an iceberg," Kirstie yelled, pushing Mitch off the floatie. He screamed as he fell in the water. "Die, Rose! Diiiiieeee!"
"Jack," Mitch yelled excitedly, hugging Scott. Scott hugged Mitch back, smiling hugely. "What else do you want to reenact?"
"The part when she feels like she's flying! I want be the wind," Kirstie yelled, blowing on Mitch's wet hair. Scott held Mitch's hips and picked him up as high as he could.
"I'm flying, Jack! I'm fl-AHH!"
Scott lost his grip and Mitch fell on him and Kirstie, causing the three of them to fall into the water. They all got back up and laughed hysterically, looking back at Mariposa and let's just say she looks furious. The triplets stopped laughing, but they smiled nonetheless.
"She's Cal," Scott whispered to Mitch and Kirstie, causing them to laugh. "Sorry, Cal-I mean, Mariposa?"
"You three are supposed to be learning how to swim, not reenact a movie from 1998," Mariposa told them, shaking her head. "How do you three even know about that movie?"
"We watch it with our daddies all the time," Kirstie answered, smiling at Mariposa. "There's a part when they always make us cover our eyes though. It's when Rose and Jack are in the car. We always peek through our fingers even though we don't know what's going on. Do you?"
"Yes and that is something that you don't need to know until you are older!"
"How much older? Like, six or something?" Scott asked, tilting his head. Mariposa rolled her eyes as she jumped back into the water. "No need to be rude, Cal! At least Jack gets Rose in the end even though he dies!"
Mariposa sighed loudly, wanting nothing more than for these kids to just listen for once. She closed her eyes and rubbed her head, shaking it slowly.
Lord, give me strength.
~~~
"Hey, kiddos," Avi greeted happily, smiling when the kids ran up to him. He smiled at Mariposa and gave her some money. "How were they?"
"They're better actors than swimmers," Mariposa told Avi, looking at the children. They all smiled up at her innocently. "Acting classes are good for them."
She walked off quickly, almost like she was running away from life itself. Kevin walked in and looked at her retrieving form, raising an eyebrow. Avi shrugged his shoulders and looked down at his children, crossing his arms.
"What did you three do this time?"
"We put on a show," Mitch answered, smiling innocently. He looked up at Scott, giggling slightly. "Scott plays a good Jack!"
"And Mitch plays a good Rose," Scott replied, his mischievous smile making Avi and Kevin share looks of despair. "We were amazing."
"And I played the best ice burg ever," Kirstie yelled out, nodding her head. Avi shook his head as he took her hand, rubbing it gently. "Papa, why were Rose and Jack in that car?"
"That is something-"
"That you won't know about until you are older! Jeez, we'll be five hundred by the time we know what actually happens."
That is, until Scott decided to go on the Internet and found out what the word 'sex' meant.
