The Store

In the darkness of the night, Shura broke one of the windows getting in the store and started to give me the most expensive and beautiful costumes, just like the shoes, underwear, tiaras and a lot of other things that the royalty use.

After a few minutes, a dog came down from the second floor and began barking like crazy. I kneeled in front of him and said: "Snooze immediately." The dog was lying on the floor, however his barks have caught the attention of a guard that was lightning the way to the store with a flashlight.

I could not let him discover us, so I invoked a double mirror spell that made whoever walked by and looked at the store, saw it intact as if there was no one inside.

"Get down", I said to Shura, who obeyed immediately and stayed quiet until the guard moved away. Then we went out the store and runned towards Shura's small house to sleep.

We got up when we heard the bells ringing announcing the sudden death of the king, which caused a big smile on my face.

"Get up, we're late. We still have to prepare ourselves", I screamed to Shura, causing him to jump on his bed.

"Holy God, prepare us for what? Are the bells ringing? The king... He died, Mila!"

"Take it easy, that man was worth nothing. We'll prepare us for our new lives, that bastard will be paying in hell."

With a surprised face he said: "Wow, I can't believe he's dead. It's true that he deserved it even so it took me by surprise. You know I can't deny it, I'm going to dress up."

We started to put on those expensive clothes I never had the chance to feel on my skin. The clothes were very heavy but the shoes gave me the sensation of walking on the clouds. With a small spell I changed some details so no one knew they were stolen garments.

In front of me, I had Shura who looked unrecognizable: leather pants that marked his legs and an outfit that highlighted his green eyes and the mole on his eyebrow. He really looked handsome. I came closer and fixed his brown hair that was disheveled. We really looked like royalty, there was no trace of the person we were before.

We just lacked one thing: a carriage. We couldn't arrive on foot. I knew that due to the death of the king, there would assist several people from other kingdoms, so I would only have to intercept a carriage and make those who occupied it disappear. Through the forest a beautiful carriage was on the way. With my hands I provoked a witch wind making a trunk fall over the road. The carriage had to stop abruptly.

I ran to that vehicle before the people inside got out and whispered: "They will come down in a hurry, disoriented and without remembering a thing. Then, they will go to their kingdom and will never return." I was not used to use magic so often which is why I didn't know so many spells. I felt excited however I kept hearing my mother's voice telling me not to use it.

I told Shura they would be alright when he saw the people disorientated walking down the path back home. He sat in front directing the horses, while I took a seat in the cabin at the back saying: "The time has come, the fake princess is on her way to justice."
