Emotions
In the morning, the bells of the castle woke up the kingdom of Avadeen, announcing another royal disgrace: the death of queen Toena. The castle still stank of ashes. I woke up worried about Nadeen. I didn't like what I was feeling. I was about to exit the room when Shura entered.
"It was you, right?"
"Yes, it was me, Shura."
"Mila, I never thought that about you. I can see marcs on your neck from here, why did you do that?"
While he helped me to cover the marcs, I told him everything about Toena: that she was a witch, that she wanted to manipulate Nadeen and that she knew about the murder of my mother from the beginning.
"Wow, she really is a son of a bitch, old bastard."
"Now you understand?"
"But what about Nadeen?"
"That's what hurts me the most. I hurt him indirectly and I don't feel comfortable because of that. Let's continue with this."
I stood up and, with shura, went to the throne that was full of people that still couldn't believe the death of the queen. Her unrecognizable body was buried this morning next to the king they had put a coffin as a symbol for the people who came.
The castle had been opened for all the people, and there was Nadeen, listening to the condolences. The kingdom was on the verge of chaos. There was no king or queen. The closest advisors told Nadeen hat he should marry this week to recuperate the stability of the kingdom. he, overwhelmed by the situation, runned away and rode his horse. I had a feeling of where he would go, so I took a horse and rode on it until the waterfall where he brought me.
He was sitting on the ground with his feet in the water looking at the waterfall. I sat next to him and put my head on his shoulder. We sat there for a while without talking.
"My parents were not the best, I didn't love them. I just respected them but thinking that I don't have anyone in this world... I really can't, Mila."
"Nadeen, you have a kingdom that loves and respect you, you're not alone... You also have me."
"You're the only light left for me, Mila. I need you by my side. I need it to be official."
"I will never leave you, only that is official."
"No, official: that you are my fiancee, my wife and the next queen of Avadeen."
I didn't have words to say to him. The man standing in front of me had eliminated all the darkness that was in me and has filled me with light and happiness. On my face were only tears of happiness and courage for everything I was hiding from him.
"I love you Mila, princess from Phatzia", he said. He kneeled and took the stem of a flower. He tangled it creating a ring and putted it on my finger taking me in his arms and turning around under the beautiful waterfall.
