𝐄 𝐀 𝐑 𝐓 𝐇

―"𝐎𝐊𝐀𝐘, 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑. 𝐇𝐈𝐓 𝐌𝐄." 𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐋𝐘 with blasters behind his back extended out, as he instructs the Mighty God of Thunder.

And Thor of course complies.

Mjölnir and Stormbreaker bang together and send a beam of lightning that is sucked up by Tony's suit, and in one movement it is shot out of his hands and body. Thanos twirls his large blade sword to divert some of that energy.

They are still battling Thanos.

Thor then engages in a game of baseball yet again, this time with his two weapons of choice, lifting one like a bat and striking the other strongly. Thanos grabs Tony and uses him as a shield, resulting in extreme damage to the Ironed Man's system.

Tony's A.I, F.R.I.D.A.Y, calls out to the man as his helmeted head hits a rock and his eyelashes flutter, "Boss, wake up!"

But he does not.

Steve athletically tries to attack the Mad Titan with a back-flipped kick, which does short of nothing, so attempts to block any attack with his vibranium shield but is knocked away onto the ground. Also taken down.

Thanos launches his sword at Thor who slides underneath it as a way to dodge and then combats him with the use of Stormbreaker, Mjölnir being discarded, and it clashes directly with the sword. The action dismantles his sword but also at the same time Stormbreaker, which causes the purple hand belonging to Thanos to clasp around his throat, and he starts to choke him.

He is tossed into pieces of the Earth, continuously punched at more, and thrown around until Thor summons Stormbreaker into his awaited hand, but Thanos counters that―catching the weapon himself and digging it into the God's chest.

Thor chokes on air, eyes bulging and lungs collapsing as the pieces of the unworldly weapon―his own unworldly weapon―begin to cave in to him.

Unbeknownst to the two, Mjölnir is called elsewhere.

The hammer, with very specific purposes, hits Thanos hard enough for him to get off of Thor, and flying back to its user―sagaciously Captain America is the one.

Proving in fact, that he too is worthy, of possessing the power of Thor.

His friend doesn't hold back his amazement, wheezing, "I knew it!"

Steve leans back and readies himself before taking on Thanos. Shield in one hand and godly hammer in the other, he charges, swinging Mjölnir from the year 2013, and hits Thanos in the face, knocking him down. Steve throws his shield and the Thanos from 2014 deflects. The Captain throws the grey hammer at his shield which creates a shockwave and successfully takes the Mad Titan off his feet.

Receiving an advantage on the offensive side, Captain America goes on to toss his shield first at Thanos and quickly hits it back at him again with Mjölnir. He lines his arm back up and underarms a channel of lightning on Thanos.

Thanos eventually―predictably, with most of if not all his opponents so far―gains the upper hand. He removes his helmet and allows the strength to fuel him when stabbing Steve in the leg and knocking Mjölnir out of his hand.

Thanos pounds on Steve's shield with his double-bladed sword until it is nearly destroyed, pieces of the vibranium staggering off, and finishes the battle with the man out of time by throwing him across the battlefield.

Steve tries to get up, but he can't. So he lays there, staring above at what was coming.

A war.

He was the last one standing.

He was ...

Except, he wasn't.

Steve Rogers can only shuffle to a recovery position on his side when he and Thanos still at the rumbling from the Earth that entails.

When the big three are unsuccessful in dismantling Thanos, that is when the young woman steps in. The last one standing. The FORCE to be reckoned with. 

The hero... The child. The hero.

A new hero . . .

―𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐏𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐓, 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐍 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐌 𝐎𝐅 𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄 𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀, 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 plunges above and out of the underground remains surrounding the Avengers Compound.

It is an extraneous amount of sustainable energy, it is a figure of light, it is no longer an anomalous shape. No longer a ForceField.

The final step in achieving all control over power like so, over pieces of a sustainable energy source, an Infinity Stone... was finding the symbol best representing the woman. The man.

The woman. The strong, capable, forceful woman.

And Danielle Mairead Rockland has nothing left to prove.

She is the one to strike fear in others now, and she does it in her own way.

Powerful.

Unstoppable.

From underneath the side of the remaining Avengers Compound, is a spirit of flying blue energy that sours out and eventually lands on the ground fiercely. Both legs parted, slightly kneeling. Total superhero pose.

One of Dani's own, of course.

She rises.

Then, without saying a word, charges straight at the Mad Titan who does not have time to gape his mouth when Dani shoves a colossal amount of blue aura into the large being. He noticeably recoils as he is the one coughing for his life now.

Thanos fights for each and every last breath while failing to get a verbal sound out so the young woman still with her long-bobbed hair and glowing, vibrant blue eyes does the talking for him. She reminds him, of a callback from an earlier battle, with a different version of him.

Her voice is gritted from the level of strain, but she persists nobly, "Is this ... strong enough for you?"

Dani signals another blast and BOOM! Thanos is pushed back until he is forced to step down on one knee, and while the brunette recoils from her own attack as well, she smoothly―rehearsed, cause she has had to practice. She composes herself and settles her abilities before lowering herself onto the ground and walking forward.

And then, she starts to speak. Wholeheartedly.

"Every time... I get knocked down, I rise up again. It's in... my nature."

Her eyes glow and her palms are encircled with blue mist, her veins pulsating, and her hair is in velocity-induced waves as she continues striding forward. Onward, always getting back up again no matter what is thrown at her. Unstoppable. Resilient.

"Like a phoenix from the ashes."

There is a notice of a large amount of aura surrounding her, altering its shape, beginning to levitate her into the air as both her arms synchronously raise. Mimicking the stance of a bird, that flies. She can fly, has soared to her destiny... and now it's time to reveal a brand new title. 

For Dani Rockland, as an existing, living, and breathing Goddess-like creation. A force.

She beckons, body fully in the air and glistening, veins that are the same color as the Space Stone stripping through her body, and with a final declaration physically, she announces, "I am called..."

Her new title. A right one.

"The Blue Phoenix."

Captain America's lips part, far enough away to which he didn't have to reel from the dust kicked up.

But the man, the SuperSoldier―the father, he is in awe, "... Dani."

The young woman remains above in her phoenix-shaped forcefield, leading those who look at her to have their chins tilted up. Thanos, this Thanos, is no doubt in awe of what he is seeing. Pieces of the greatest power in the universe... inside her, a human. A genetically modified, though incredibly earthly human being. Physically, mostly. Physically.

Just what will that entail?

The Mad Titan grants her the courtesy and respect as an extremely powerful individual, undeniably one of the strongest, by addressing her formerly by her newfound name, "Almighty Blue Phoenix, to what I ask is your cause?"

"To protect those that I love," Dani answers without falter, her helmeted though blonde-headed caretaker viewing her from a stretched-out position, on his side.

Captain America still remains in a great deal of amazement, and bewilderment. He does not intervene at this moment, mostly because he can't. Steve, even with the recent discoveries of Mjölnir, is nowhere near his daughter's level anymore. He supposes he never was. He... knew he never was.

When it comes to existence,  Dani's was to care for those who could not care for themselves, for the ones she admired. Though she now makes it entirely clear what her purpose intends to be now. Right now, in solidity.

She confirms through bright blue irises and lit veins, "Though right now," her cause, "it's to end your life."

To take down Thanos, this version of him, no matter what. Even if it kills her.

"If you live." Is his menacing, guttural reply.

Danielle folds her lip. Then, the Blue Phoenix takes action.

She charges on, pouncing―literally―at the first opportunity of attack and flies down similar to how Thor does, and then fires three different strikes. She settles into multiple hand-to-hand combat motions that her powerful abilities follow obediently, giving her the right power-ups. Thanos fends off her moves sharply but Dani is fast, she always... is fast.

And smart, quick-thinking as after pulling away briefly she places both hands in front of her and physically pushes forwards, triggering a signature forcefield blast. Blue aura like a wave threatens to wash over Thanos and possibly deteriorate him, but like before with Thor's lightning he scrambles to find his sword and uses it to block the amount of energy. He ends up straining himself and his sturdy weapon of choice begins to chard.

Before more can happen Dani strikes again, and this time does a drop-kick backflip type of move and doesn't stop there. Never is she stationary for too long.

The young woman flies up and the phoenix shape projected before both enlarges and brightens and with the synchronization of her arms again, the Blue Phoenix fires many different blasts aimed at Thanos from above in the air. This dismantles him and puts him off instantaneously.

When he is weak, that is when she goes in once more, truly so far having the entire upper hand in this fight, considered impressive for never really facing off against an enemy as powerful as a demigod―only enemy being her slightly enhanced but mostly (only genetically) human mother. The barrier created tests Thanos' double-sword more, but it doesn't break through as Dani pushes.

She does, however, continue to push, straining as her teeth grit and minimal pieces of her skin break off and light up blue, and through the strenuous use of her power eventually is enough to break the Mad Titan's purple left arm.

Thanos releases a husky noise of pain, gritting his own teeth as a yelp takes over his throat. The blue eyes belonging to Steve Rogers widen as the wrinkles around his eyes unfold. She hurt him. Dani actually... hurt him.

The Blue Phoenix is straining harder than ever before, not only mentally with the massive headache that forms right in-between her brows as she rises again this time raising a fist and arching her arm like a bow and arrow―but it is then that the young woman starts to reel physically. She has never used this much power before. It is draining. It... doesn't feel right.

Dani experiences shortness of breath, and an ultimate halt of oxygen to her brain being permitted, and she rapidly starts blinking her blue eyes that never fade back to their original color. In fact, they shine brighter with the height of the girl's emotions.

But that isn't the concern, mainly, control... because Dani's got that. She's doing it...

The only thing that remained was what was always there, always true. And that was... no person regardless of their modifications, was ever qualified to be able to wield such strong power like this. To have pieces of an Infinity Stone inside a human being, was unbelievable. Impossible.

Possible, but would only end destructively in the end. Badly.

Badly for the host...

―𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐗 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐓𝐎𝐎 𝐌𝐔𝐂𝐇. Migraine and unexplainable shortness of breath cause her to lose focus for barely a minute, but that is all that is needed for him to get the jump on her. Before he gets the jump on her.

A big hand is scorched as it plunges through and grabs at her chest. Thanos groans in pain but it is not audible over the sounds of energy whirling up, and Dani reacting horribly.

It is not even very loud at all, because, after the impact, the young woman grows silent. PLUNGE.

Thump.

Thump.

Thump.

Thump.

Her face turns white and her eyes fade away.

Thump.

Thump.

Thump.

Her forcefield instead of receding expels loudly out throughout the battlefield, barely missing all that is in its path. Steve takes cover with his broken shield.

Thump.

Thump.

There is one last thing Dani does before becoming catatonic, scream. A painful, agonizingly-sounding scream, and then she falls still.

Stiff, when the center of the puncture―her heart―takes the harshest strike one could ever know. That Danielle could ever know... by the Mad Titan. Overstimulation from her abilities does not help the matter. That dire muscle of hers is under attack.

It takes a blow from Thanos, it suffers from the uncontrollable spurts of returning blue aura that remain undirected as long as she is inanimate. Unconscious. Withering...

... Thump.

Dani is thrown across the battlefield and lies flat on her back. 

Dani loses any momentum she previously had as the striving Blue Phoenix.

Dani... Dani's heart stops.

For the second and final time.

Dani is dead.

ahh, cliffhanger, gotta love them. (I'm sorry).

Welp I'm done with classes for the rest of the week and have a "Mid-Semester Break" which I'm vacation for so that's nice. With the fam. Still in NY. Might do some more writing try pop another one of these out. If I'm being honest I've had a really hard first semester of college. I'm currently trying to get out of my rooming situation because my roommate's an actual psychopath (this is not an exaggeration btw, everybody knows that she's done some really REALLY messed up things and won't even talk to me at all). She's trying to kick me out of our room though so that's fun, I'll let you all know what happens (my parents are now involved with the school, trying to move me to my own room/ a single for u college peeps) & yeah it's really stressful ... but anyway this!!

Thanos vs Dani, hoped you liked it, could envision it, and will have to wait till next time I update to see what happens to Dani because uh .... yeh .... I know this is an awful cliffhanger but I feel like I never do those?? So it's okay? Eh, probably not.

BUT HEY, what do you think of Dani's NEW SUPERHERO NAME? THE BLUE PHOENIX. It's metaphor being that she always gets up again after being knocked down (rising from the ashes like a bird basically was what I was getting at) and I thought was perfect for her character. And that title I think rocks if I do say so myself!! She's finally found her place!!! That is her alias now though so make sure to call her by it!!!!! I personally thank you in advance.
