This book is a continuation of the dark alternate timeline of the bad ending of the first Force Unleashed game. Want to know more about it? Play the first Force Unleashed game and do the bad ending, then play the Tatooine and Hoth DLCs; or just watch gameplays of them.

The story is that Starkiller has turned Luke Skywalker to the dark side; and now it's up to the remaining heroes to stop the Sith and the Empire, and save the galaxy.

Our villains:

Name: Starkiller (A.K.A. Galen Marek)

Backstory: The former secret apprentice of Darth Vader. When he was a small child, he watched his Jedi father be brutally murdered by Vader, then Vader took him in and brainwashed him to be the ultimate Sith assassin. After killing Vader and suffering a fate worse than death, Starkiller now serves as the Emperor's new cybernetic apprentice. Hoping to one day overthrow the Emperor and have his revenge; Starkiller currently trains a secret apprentice of his own.

Luke Skywalker (Pretend he has yellow eyes, red lightning, and Darth Vader's lightsaber.)

Backstory: The son of Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) and Padmé Amidala. Luke wasn't trained by Obi-Wan the same way he was in the original Star Wars universe. Instead, Starkiller brutally murdered Obi-Wan, twice, before they even left Tatooine; then Obi-Wan's recovering spirit guided Luke in the ways of the Force and helped Luke and the others rescue Princess Leia, then destroy the Death Star. Three years later, the Empire attacked their base on Hoth, with Starkiller leading the attack. Luke put up a good fight, but Starkiller's shear power and skill overwhelmed Luke, as did the temptation of the Dark Side. The anger and hatred Luke had towards Starkiller for killing Obi-Wan, as well as his father, and the desperateness to save his friends caused Luke to fall to she Dark Side and abandon almost all Light within him. Despite being strengthened by the Dark Side, Starkiller still defeated Luke and cut off his right hand. Starkiller then gave Luke two choices: join him and become his apprentice, or watch all his friends be slaughtered and then die as well. In order to protect those he cared about, as well as believing earning Starkiller's trust and then killing him was the best way to get revenge, Luke agreed to become Starkiller's secret apprentice and help him kill the Emperor. But deep down... he still feels the call to the Light.

Mara Jade

Backstory: She was trained pretty much her whole life by the Emperor; although, Mara technically isn't a Sith Lord. She's very loyal to the Emperor; and when she meets Luke, she senses he's powerful, but doesn't know he's Starkiller's apprentice and that they're planning to kill the Emperor. She and Luke do still grow close and begin to develop feelings for each other. Although, Luke fears his plan to kill the Emperor with Starkiller may put a wedge (No pun intended, Antilles.) in their relationship.

Grand Admiral Thrawn

Backstory: The Chiss mastermind strategist himself. Thrawn is called back from the Outer Rim by the Emperor to help deal with a threat that Palpatine senses could destroy the Empire.

Darth Sidious (Emperor Sheev Palpatine)

Backstory: The Emperor of the entire galaxy and ruler of the Empire. Sidious once had Darth Vader as his apprentice, now he has Starkiller. Although, he suspects his new apprentice plans to betray him, just as Vader did.

Our heroes:

Leia Organa (Her outfit is less revealing.)

Backstory: Princess of Alderaan turned Rebel leader turned last of the Jedi. After she and her friends barely escaped Hoth while having to leave Luke behind, Leia encountered the ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi, who revealed to her that Darth Vader was her biological father and that Luke is her brother. She learns that she herself is Force-sensitive and is told it is now her duty to not only destroy the Empire, but to restore the Jedi Order as well. Leia travels to Dagobah to discover more about the Force and who she is.

Han Solo and Chewbacca

Backstory: First they had to deal with Jabba being after them, now they're on the run from the Empire with Leia and the droids. Han wants nothing more to do with the Rebellion and their war, but he realizes he and Chewie have no other options than to keep Leia and the droids safe and stay on the run from the Empire.

R2-D2 and C-3P0

Backstory: The two droids who have been through a lot together for more than twenty years. The two are deeply sad from having to leave Luke behind.

Lando Calrissian

Backstory: Head of Cloud City. When his old friends, Han Solo and Chewbacca, arrive at Cloud City with some friends of there's, he ends up getting caught up in the conflict as well.

Yoda

Backstory: One of the last remaining Jedi. Yoda trains Leia in the hopes she can destroy Starkiller and the Emperor and save Luke.

Obi-Wan Kenobi (Force Ghost)

Backstory: Heartbroken that Luke went down the path of the Dark Side just like Anakin did, Obi-Wan's spirit now desperately tries to guide Leia and bring Luke back to the Light Side.

Anakin Skywalker (Force Ghost)

Backstory: Despite all the horrible things he did, Anakin had a change of heart and turned back to the Light just before Starkiller killed him. Now as a Force Ghost, he guides Leia and tries to talk sense into not just Luke, but Starkiller as well, hoping to redeem them both.

Ahsoka Tano

Backstory: The first true apprentice Anakin ever had. After leaving the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars, she was able to avoid Order 66 and go into hiding. After meeting Leia and learning of Luke and Starkiller, she's determined to redeem them both and help Leia master her Force abilities. She's also reunited with Anakin and Obi-Wan when she meets their spirits.
