"I do very bad things, and i do them very well."

The teens immediately tensed at the mans voice, he strode over to them, his arms swinging carelessly as he wore a sly grin on his face. Aife gave Thomas a pointed look and he quickly nodded as he clocked the weapon and began taking steps forward, rather confidently at that.
"Open the door, Janson," Thomas demanded, his voice not wavering. He narrowed his eyes and glared at the grey headed man with pure hatred. Aife made eye contact with the guard who was seemingly familiar to her, he had an apologetic look in her eyes, and Aife found herself nodding at him, as though sending him a silent message.
"You really don't want me to do that." Janson held his arms up in surrender, almost mockingly as he continued to walk.
"Open the damn door!" Thomas ordered harshly, his shoulders shaking with each shout as his friends struggled to swipe the card successfully. Aife gritted her teeth, her sudden memories flashing through her mind of her slaughtering the guards mercilessly with a grin. She wanted nothing more than to do that.
"Listen to me," Janson shouted, "i'm trying to save your life, the maze is one thing but you kids wouldn't last one day out of the scorch. If the elements don't kill you, the cranks will!" Janson tried, he began to walk quicker, "Thomas, you have to believe me, i only want what's best for you."
"Yeah, let me guess, Wicked is good?" Aife hummed as she came up next to Thomas, her head remained up as she wore a challenging look in her eyes that made the guards, and Janson, slightly uneasy.
Janson sighed as he put his hands back at his side, "You're not gettin' through that door," He shook his head stubbornly with narrowed eyes.
A loud beeping noise rang out, capturing everyone's attention. The large door pried itself open and revealed Aris and Winston standing there with a tired expression. Winston held a large Katana in his hands, one in which belonged to Aife.
"Hey guys," Aris panted out, Aife gave the two boys a nod of appreciation. The teens that stood by the door went to stand next to them, but Thomas and Aife remained still.
"Aife, Thomas, Come on' let's go!" Newt called to them, Thomas then began firing the weapon, each one missing the guards.
"Oh, for Gods sake," Aife rolled her eyes and ripped the weapon out of his hands, she began to fire it and successfully hit three of the men in the chests, causing them to seize on the floor.
The weapon ran out, she shrugged and threw it at them before turning around and making a run for it. One of the guards, who had somehow caught the attention and slight trust of Aife, discreetly pulled out a knife and stabbed the remaining guards with it, Janson being the idiot he is, payed no mind. The teens however, noticed when he gave Aife a nod.
They turned to her for answers, but she just ignored them and beckoned him to follow. He shoved Janson into the wall and sprinted forward, his longer legs got him further than Aife and Thomas.
The door began to close, causing Thomas and Aife to panic slightly.
"Come on!" Frypan shouted at his friends.
Just as the door was about to hit the floor, the two teens slid on their legs and slipped themselves through at the last second, causing the others to let out a sigh of relief.
The teens quickly scrambled to stand up, Aris took charge and jumped forward, smashing the scanner so that the door couldn't open again. Minho knelt down next to the guard that they had knocked out and stole the gun from his waist band, while Frypan was looking at the guard that Aife seemed to trust with caution. Though, she simply waved him off, "Leave him, he's with us."
Janson began to bang in the large door, releasing a string of curse words as his spit gathered on the glass in front of him.
Thomas gave the man a crooked grin and held up his middle finger, Aife smirked at the old man and cocked up an eyebrow with pride.
The gladers and the guard quickly turned and ran, ignoring the shouts and protests from Janson at them.
"Come on, let's go!" Aife felt Newts hand grab ahold of hers as they ran throughout the factory, the alarms were blaring loudly, causing Aife to furrow her eyebrows as she concentrated on getting out of there.
"This way!" The guard waved them.
She could feel her chest heaving as she kept her eyes forward, not bothering to look back, unlike her friends. They had the tendency to do that, which obviously slowed them down, seeing as she was leading the group.
"Let's go!" Thomas shouted.
They made it to the exit and pulled on the lever as they anxiously glanced behind them, the door opened up and they wasted to time in running out into the desert like area. There was sand getting into their eyes, causing them to squint, but they didn't care. They didn't have time to care.
They pushed themselves harder as they ran in the sand, which was obviously slowing them down, but they kept going. They ran - nearly crawled - up a hill of sand and struggled to reach the top.
They could hear the voices of the guards that were in Wicked and are now chasing after them, the lights from their devises were enough to scare them into running further.
"Come on, go!" Thomas ushered the group, as he looked behind him, "We can lose em' in the storm!"
The wind picked up and Aife began coughing on the sand that managed to get into her throat, she swallowed her own saliva in an attempt to help her throat, the way it scratched with each slight movement was nearly unbearable, but it was no use.
They ran further and further up the hill until they reached the top and they laid down as they observed all of the men that were in search for them.
"Alright," Aife spoke up, "Everyone go, go, go! Stay low!" She ordered as they crouched down and began to make their way again.
They ran down the hill, slightly tumbling from the winds until they reached large glass windows, one of them was broken.
Teresa peaked through, ignoring the fact that she was barefoot, and narrowed her eyes at the fact that it was only pure darkness that could be spotted. The only light that was seen was the moon.
"Come on!" The pale skinned girl encouraged as she stepped through the broken glass and down the sand hill.
"No!" They protested, but she ignored them. They hesitantly followed her, seeing as they were running out of options and had no where else to hide from the evil organization that was currently chasing them.
Minho pulled out a flashlight and began to shine it around their surroundings while Winston handed Aife her katana, she gave a smirk in thanks to the boy.
"Where the hell are we?" Minho spoke out. Aife found herself glancing at the guard that she allowed to follow them and took in his features. The man was tall, much taller than her, and he was breathing heavily as he gritted his teeth together in an anxious manner. His fingers, which were coated in flakes of blood due to the fact that he stabbed the guards, were fidgeting at his sides as he pulled his eyebrows together slightly.
"We gotta go," Thomas waved as he began to walk further away from the open window, Teresa immediately began to protest his orders.
"No, Thomas Stop!" Everyone turned to her, the girls face was flushed and she found herself huffing with tiredness, "Tell me what's going on. And who is he?" She ordered sternly, causing Aife to raise an eyebrow at her, unaware that the guard simultaneously did the same thing. Aife didn't like how Teresa was acting, the girl seemed different in almost every way than the girl she met in the maze. And she had a feeling she knew what it was.
The girl began to scavenge her brain for the guards name, she struggled immensely and squeezed her eyes shut, she didn't want to interrupt the important conversation, but she wanted to remember. In the midst of all of that, Minho was absentmindedly tightening his grip around the gun, still not trusting the guard.
"It's Wicked. We never escaped. Me, Aife and Aris, we- we found bodies, too many to count. And i don't know who that is. But Aife does, and she seems to trust him." Thomas stammered as he made his way back over to the group who were watching him.
I don't fully trust anyone, Aife thought to herself.
"W-what do you mean, Dead bodies?" Minho asked hesitantly while Aife rolled her eyes at her asian best friend.
"No, a body of water."
Thomas found himself letting out a nervous chuckle at her retort, but figured that now wasn't the time for her humor, "No, but they weren't alive, either. They had em' strung up. Tubes coming out of them." Teresa absentmindedly rubbed the back of her neck, which went unnoticed by everyone, except Aife.
"They were being. . . they were being drained,"
"There's something inside of us that wicked wants, something in our blood." Aife spoke up for the boy that was stuttering nervously as he tried to get a grip on the situation, her fists clenching by her side absentmindedly. All of her rage came up front as she thought of everything at hand.
"Okay," Newt said as he looked up at Aife and turned himself to her, and glancing at Thomas, "So what's the plan," Thomas remained quiet, too quiet for their liking, "You have a plan, right?"
"Yeah. . . I don't know." Thomas said sheepishly while Aife patted his shoulder in an attempt to comforting him.
"Well, we followed you two out here so now you're saying that you have no idea where we're going or what we're doing?" Newt asked incredulously as he raised his voice slightly, his voice cracking as he did so.
"Wait, Janson said something about, people hiding in the mountains. Some kind of resistance, or army." Aris said hesitantly, his voice was soft.
"The right arm." The tall guard spoke up for the first time, seeing as he didn't find it fit to do so any other time, "I'm Axel by the way, since you're all wondering. I'll explain the rest later." He declared with a slightly aggressive smile, clearly irritated with the events and wanting nothing more than to go to sleep.
"The right arm, if they're really against wicked, maybe they can help us." Thomas spoke eagerly as the others gave him a deadpanned look.
"People. In the mountains. Mountain People. That's your plan?" Newt said flatly as he had a hand rested on his hip.
"It's the only chance we have," Aife shrugged, Newt nodded at the shorter girl, his eyes and tone slightly wavering under her intense gaze and offered her a small smile. It reminded him of the glade, the girl was acting as she did when they were there and it gave him a sense of comfort. The girl he had known all his life was taking charge as usual, at least he was familiar with something.
"Hey guys, check this out," Winston said as he crouched down in the sand, "Minho, give me a light."
Aife put her Katana in her scabbard. Axel eyed it and his eyes slightly watered at the sight, but he sniffled and looked away.
"Someone's been down here." He pointed out as he waved to the footsteps that were imprinted on the sand.
The group glanced at each other before shrugging, "Only one way to find out."
