The woman stared at the open book, her mouth wide open. The text glared up at her as she just stared.
This was not good. She needed to tell her friends... but how? She hasn't seen any of them for over eight years. They could have changed their numbers, most of them moved away.
She slammed it shut, her emotions conflicted. She was angry at her friend, and yet feeling guilty. It was her fault it was a secret.
She needed to find the secret. And fast.

I was tense as Noah was untied, his grey eyes still fixed on me angrily. Usis seemed tense as she held a branch, prepared to hit Noah if needed. Cricket stepped away from Noah, before turning to me and untying my ropes.
I quickly stood, stepping back. "I should go." I stated, but Usis shook her head.
"No. You may have made a mistake, but you still could be a useful member to the team. You can learn to deal with Noah."
"I've got friends." Growled Noah. "They can join our army."
"Good! Lets get them." Said Usis, and Noah quickly turned and marched into the woods. I remained with Cricket, as Usis quickly stomped after him.
"So, when you go to Earth, who do you see?" Asked Cricket randomly, her eyes lost in the fire before her.
"My friend..." I mutter, jumping at the snapping of twigs.
"Cricket! I ran into Usis, what the heck is going on?" Asked Silver, panting slightly. Cricket quickly explained the situation, as I looked down at the picture in my hands. I was startled into reality as Usis returned, a group of people trailing behind her.
As I looked at them, my face fell in terror.
Based off of Noah's reaction, this is gonna be bad.

A woman laughed darkly, her red eyes fixed on the people before her. She was ready for the girl to understand exactly what she had done. She stood, leaning closer to them in excitement.
The loud yelling that sounded from the group filled her with amusement, some even stepping forward. A young girl at the back looked more confused than anything as they screamed at each-other.
Her attention was pulled to a different screen, this one containing a young girl as she walked out of a school with her mother. The child clutched her stuffed animal with one arm, the other holding her mother's hand tightly.
"I had a dream about momma last night." Said the girl happily.
"Really? What was mommy doing?" Asked the woman.
"She was wearing some weird clothes, and she was talking to a group of people." The girl said, skipping.
"Did you recognize any of the people?"
"One."
"And who was that?"
"They looked like Uncle James's twin." The girl was casual about her words, but the woman visibly tensed at this. "Twin?" Asked the mother, looking down at her child.
"Mhmm. Do you think there's a place where the twins who died but their siblings didn't go?" Asked the girl.
The mother was silent as they arrived at a car, her green eyes filled with confusion. A slight twinge of hope.
Maybe.
