Chapter 11

"Huh, what?!" Simon suddenly came to, sitting up frantically. "Where am I?!" He found himself in a pitch black room. "What the hell?" Simon said, getting up. "What is this?!"

"Hello, Simon." A distorted voice said maniacally. "I brought you here to set one thing straight. You need to pay for your sins including what you have done to your family."

"WHAT DO YOU WANT, YOU SICK MANIACAL FUCK?!?!!!" Simon screamed.

"I want you to suffer the way your family suffered." The voice said. "The way everyone suffers. Every single person in this world suffers from the worldwide epidemic known as sin. And, for that reason, everyone has to die. The world is nothing but a cold and evil place. No one learns from anything."

"You're crazy!!" Simon shouted. "You're fucking CRAZY!!"

"You are in a dark room with 0% lights and 0% windows. Only doors on all sides of the room. In order to escape this room, you have to go through only one of the doors. Only one will lead you out of here. Taking the wrong door will lead you to nothing and I will detonate the explosives under the room. Open all the doors and I will detonate the explosives. You have one minute. Make the choice."

"What do you want from me, you asshole?!!" Simon screamed. No answer. "Hello?! HELLO?!"

"Okay, okay! Do I have anything in my pocket that will help?!" Simon said, frantically searching his pockets. Nothing. "Goddamn it!! What am I gonna do?!" He frantically searched around the room feeling all the doors around him. "Which door do I TAKE?!!" He try looking under the doors, but all he could see was darkness. "SOMEBODY HELP ME!!! HEEEELLLLLLP!!" He violently pounded on the doors. Wait, I think I know what to do! He pounded on the first door and felt wall on the other side of it. He moved to the door across from it and pounded it, feeling a draft on the other side. "That's the way out!" He flung the door open and found a set of stairs. He ran up the stairs and found another door, flinging it open and finding himself in a junkyard. It was night outside.

"It's NIGHT already?!" Simon cried. "How long was I out?!"

POW!!

Simon ducked. A gunshot echoed throughout the junkyard. He turned around to face the hooded figure with the smiling mask holding a gun. Simon dashed off as the figure slowly stalked him, pointing his gun.

Simon continued running through the junkyard frantically searching for an exit. He ran up to the gate, pounding and screaming, "Hello?! Help me! I'm being chased by Dr. Puzzle!! Heelllp!!" He turned around and saw the figure's shadow slowly creeping up from afar. Panicked, Simon started climbing up the gate. He jumped down to the other side and dashed off as fast as he could.

Simon ran through town and into the police station. "Where's the Sheriff?!" He shouted. "Where is he?!!?"

"Now, sir. You'd better calm down or we're gonna have to arrest you." A police officer said.

"Just tell me where the Goddamn Sheriff is?!!" Simon yelled.

"It's okay, everyone." Sheriff Barker said, walking out of his office. "He's harmless. Now, what's the deal, Simon?"

"I know where Dr. Puzzle is." Simon said.

Later...

Police searched the junkyard and took pictures of the room Simon was trapped in. Barker looked through the room as Simon sat down across from the room's exit.

"So, you were assaulted and kidnapped by Dr. Puzzle and put in the junkyard, huh?" Barker asked questioningly. "Sounds rather suspicious."

"What the hell is THAT supposed to mean?" Simon asked. "I'm not lying or anything! I WAS kidnapped and put here by this fucking maniac!"

"You really can't honor your own rules, can you, Adams?" Barker said in a snarky tone. "You'd better be polite or I'll throw you in for yelling at an officer."

"You don't know what you're talking about, 'Sheriff.'" Simon said. "I didn't do ANY of this! If you really think I'm a fucked up serial killer, then you're crazier than those shit faced stories you keep making up about town curses."

Barker angrily slammed Simon onto the ground and began cuffing him.

"What the HELL are you DOING?! I didn't do anything, damn it!" Simon snapped, as Barker cuffed him. "Let me go, you idiot!"

"Calling me names isn't gonna make anything better for you, Adams." Barker said coldly.

"Just let me go, I've done nothing WRONG!!"

"Hey, hey, hey, let him go now!" A familiar hellhound stormed into the junkyard, stopping dead in front of Barker. "He has nothing to do with any of the murders!"

"Loona?!" Simon snapped. "What are YOU doing here?!"

"Just let him go, I'll pay his bail money and I'll keep him in line!" Loona assured Barker. "PLEASE let him go!"

"This man is always near the crime scenes. Don't tell me that isn't a coincidence!" Barker said.

"I was with you when we drove up to that warehouse, dickweed!" Simon grunted angrily, causing Barker to hit the back of his head. "Ow! Just let me the fuck go!!"

"Enough, both of you!" Loona growled "All this arguing is fucking pointless! Just stop with the fighting and let Simon go!"

"................." Barker didn't say a word. Then, he spoke, "Fine, whatever." He uncuffed Simon and pulled him up seldom aggressively.

"Asshole." Simon muttered quietly.

"Keep him in line or he's gonna do his time!" Barker grunted, as he continued examining the junkyard. Simon stomped away from the junkyard.

"Hey, Mr. Adams! Come back!" Loona called out, going after Simon.

Simon and Loona walked along the sidewalk in their neighborhood.

"You're not gonna talk to me?" Loona asked.

"I have nothing to say to either of you..." Simon sighed.

"What's your problem, Simon?" Loona asked. "All we're trying to do is help you."

"Why?" Simon asked, turning around to face Loona. "We just met. We're still technically strangers. WHY are you trying so hard to pester me?!?" Loona didn't say a word. "YOU'RE not gonna talk to me?" Simon asked. "I didn't think so.. Just.. leave me alone..." Simon walked off until he was at his house. He walked in and closed the door behind him, locking the front door with several locks he brought with him from his hometown.

Simon walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table with his head down. He was in deep thought. He didn't know what to do. He wanted to leave, but he just got settled and he doesn't wanna have to move again.

Well, I'm fucked... He thought.
